So I cast my first magic. It"s the 2nd day now. Got some herbs, and a few apples, got a nice apple tree on the side of the hill. Also it appears to be The season of late summer? Or early autumn? Might just be the climate. I really do not know. The dungeon is the very top of the hill btw, and surrounded by woods, but the trees are pretty s.p.a.ced out, so the rocks reach the same height. Most of the are really tall, but not visible from the dungeon.
The dungeon is sorta this bowl cut into the top of the hill almost.
Anyways onto magic! I"m so happy! Finally I have magic, a staple of any good fantasy novel! Now I shall rise as a grand magus and rule this world as a Demon Lord! And live!

I"m like 95% sure Skippy is my Dungeon, or created by it to annoy me.
Anyways... this is how I learned magic!
~A bit earlier~
Outside of the dungeon, I was hunting. Or rather, I was gathering apples and seasonings(the cotheroot tastes like cinnamon, so it"ll make a good spice for toasted apples I hope), and holding my knife just in case anything messes with me. Suddenly I got an alert an my menu opened up and moved itself to the Dungeon Tab. On the map was a Red Cursor labeled with question marks.
I might"ve panicked a little bit. It was a bit sudden after all. I madly sprinted for the dungeon, running past trees to the hill, as on my menu I could see 3 other cursors entering the dungeon as well. I didn"t know the consequences if the Kitsune shrine broke for my DP Income, or for me. I know it"d be fine eventually, but there might be consequences. And for some reason the thought of invaders... of people trampling my new home... I don"t know.
I could feel myself getting tired, all my muscles like rubber from my mad sprint that I refused to let up!
Burning heat was in my chest, and I felt like I was going to burn from the inside out as panic and heavy breaths felt like they set my lungs ablaze.
I reached the hill and dashed up it, reaching the stone gate and upon entering, saw a few indistinct shapes.
In that moment, my panic turned to something else, as my burning turned into rage. This feeling... it was like my soul was screaming. The feelings of invasion, of the WRONGNESS of them being there, of being in my dungeon... my HOME...
"HOW DARE YOU ENTER MY HOME!"
I roared, and with sweat and emotion tearing up my eyes, half-blind, I screamed, and even half blind, it was like I could see lines of light, flowing through everything. So much color, in everything, all moving into the dungeon, to the shrine, and the 4 things in front of me had it too. I focused on the bright spots where it all gathered in them, and let the heat take over.
"Foxfire."
Instantly 4 b.a.l.l.s of orange-red flame appeared, as it felt like that burning within me was moving out of me and into the air, becoming the fire. They shot out at the nodes of light I could see, and I heard yelps of pain, and a single high pitched cry, and then silence as the lights disappeared, and I cleared out my eyes.
3 wolves, and a short, stocky puke-green humanoid body, with a loincloth and a crude ax. The heads of all 4 were blown clean off, with bits scattered on the ground of their heads. The remains of leather collars were hanging, burnt black, on the stumped necks of the wolves.

Seeing this, and that they were dead, there wasn"t disgust, or horror at what I did. It was a feeling of satisfaction, and the burning seemed to pull back into my chest, and I got the sense that something had gone back to sleep within me.
I think that was when it really hit home I was no longer human. I was a beast man, a Foxkin. A Kitsune. And I think that that anger, that territorial rage and fire, I think that was the beast within me.
I think the part of that which scares me most is that I"m certain that beast didn"t just appear when I reincarnated.
It was always there.
I am not fully human. And maybe my soul never was. Not really.
Is anyone?
