I smiled at Luna a bit. "So being accepted, respected, or submitted to by the Dungeon Boss is my best bet?"
She nodded. Then seemed to think of something and shrug as she added, "actually you might need all the monsters to accept you? After all, that guy likely terrorized them all if he really stayed there for days."
I nodded, it made some sense. But how could I take advantage of that?
Best option? Use my cla.s.s to bewitch them all.
Not control, as that is direct, and seems much harder to do to multiple targets(duh).
So just influence. Use music to shift a way of thinking, an emotional response, and their souls won"t resist it, meaning A)They aren"t made a vegetable, and B)I can affect everything that hears me.
"Gah! I don"t know which one fits though!" I clutched my own head, looking at my flute stored in a small pouch on my belt.
What song would work? Do I sing, or play on the flute? Why is this so hard to figure out?!
Well... I don"t got to do it right this second. Let"s go find the Blacksmith, punch him, and find a way out right now. I"ll do the rest of the tests, meet the G.o.d, and then come back for all this.

I think I"ll term the split offs as "Kyoku"s" as I"m speaking in both 3rd and 1st person when talking about them.

"a.n.a.lyze, scan! Find that blacksmith!"
The minimap expanded, as my actual map opened up. I haven"t looked at it in awhile, but it"s largely grayed-out, with a large circle of where my Dungeon is visible. Then multiple lines from the times I went out snake through the gray, and finally one REALLY long one leads to a meandering area which is where I am now, on the mountain.
"Or rather, in it. This Dungeon stores its dimensional s.p.a.ce inside the mountain, though the actual hollow-size is probably very small."
"Thanks Kyoku! Not like I also knew that!"
"Shut up and go do your thing while I a.n.a.lyze the Feather by connecting my soul-s.p.a.ce to the inventory and work with the Dungeon."
I started walking forward, and Fenrir followed, crouching low to the ground to still have a grip on the tiles by lowering his center of gravity. Luna followed, using mana grip just in case.
Why wasn"t I using mana grip? Cause my agility is PROBABLY high enough to be good on a slightly leaned slope of roof tiles.
We ran across, and upon reaching a tower I climbed it. The other two felt confused of course, but followed to see what I was doing.
At the top was a single guard, a man with a snake tail for legs, and scales up his arms and face.
"That"s... a naga. What"s a male naga even called again?"
Well. I"m starting to hope I get to keep all these monsters for myself once I come back and take this Dungeon. Cause naga"s actually fit my j.a.panese aesthetic, and I could use Minotaurs as heavy lifters/tanks, and station them in an underground area! Ooh, I like that.
He held a bow and had a scimitar slung at his waist(?), and his eyes were skits as he looked about.
"Huh... if he"s not noticing us, then unlike a snake, he doesn"t have heat-detection? Oh! His blood isn"t cold, but warm? That"s a weird difference... so he can just see in the dark huh?"
At the stairs in the corner of the tower-top area, a slithering sound emerged as a female naga came up, with another bow.
I could feel the burning glare from Luna at me. It"s not my fault they"re naked okay!
Seriously... in usual fantasy, scales cover the chest or that"s where they at least have clothes, but nope. This is accurately the naga apparently, as her chest is just straight up out there.
"But... I don"t find myself that concerned?"
Uh... this entire time I"ve dealt with my emotions and l.u.s.t deciding to wake up and screw with me, but once I meet a naked-snake-lady, all I feel is uncomfortable. Okay.
"Yeah don"t worry about it me. I"ll look deeper into our mental state, along with domain research. Just focus on the possible dangers."
Ah yeah! I have a Kyoku permanently here looking into research and development alongside the Dungeon while I am the one handling the real-life stuff.
I refocused on her, and noticed her forked flit out as she looked around suspiciously.
"...can she smell us...? Or...-!"
I felt a jolt of panic as a possibility crossed my mind, and quickly switched to manbased sight to see the concentration of elemental energies.
"Oh f.u.c.k! Oh f.u.c.k me! She"s got ice energy in her veins, that is a cold blooded one! Which means..."
Yeah... she can probably detect heat sources.
"Aw f.u.c.k it."
I leaped over the edge of the wall, rolling to the center of the platform atop the tower, and springing up to send out two WindBlades, cutting their bowstrings before they could protect them, and then set off a FoxFire!
I aimed two at either head, as aura formed to defend, but now that I now aura has a limit? Ahahaha... 20 mana instead of 5 suckers!
The mans head was gone easy, but... wow.
The female Naga did not try to stand up to it.
As her aura began blocking the FoxFire, she twisted her body and neck in a way no human ever could(d.a.m.n that"s some flexibility!) and let the FoxFire sc.r.a.pe off her aura, flying on past, as I brought it back around she turned to face it.
One again she curved around it, and I realized that FoxFire was losing power through these small impacts, but her aura was just getting to refill.
"Wow... I guess fighter-types gotta fine some way to outsmart magic."
Ah! This is no time to be impressed!
I took the remaining 3 unused FoxFire"s, and sent them from multiple directions.
She sprang into the air, her tail a spring, and flexed her torso to avoid all 4 fireb.a.l.l.s!
"What the f.u.c.k!"
What else could I say? That"s ridiculous! Also please stop running about with so much motion! I feel very uncomfortable with how visible the physics of gravity are!
She turned, drawing her scimitar finally, and I drew my blade, the R&D(research and development) Kyoku taking over the manipulation of FoxFire, as I settled into a fighting stance.
"Your rhythm is flexible, ridiculously so, just like you... but being slippery doesn"t mean it"s impossible to get a grip on you!"
Can I just say that a.n.a.lyze is my best skill? Like... at all? The way it offers all data on an enemy observed, in mana flow, bodily movement, relation to s.p.a.ce, soul fluctuations, all combing with my job cla.s.s"s predictive ability to let me see what she was about to do.
"Zing!"
...the rhythm... isn"t a beat? Why does it sound like strings?

I step, ducking below a horizontal slash, and as she flips off her tail, trying to avoid any possible strikes from me, I put my tail in her face, blinding her for a moment until it "swish!"-ed away. I am not keeping it there for too long. She might bite it!
As it fell away, she could taste the burning in the air of the FoxFires. I know she could, because I was creating that false sensation in her mind.
So here"s something interesting: if I"m both a dancer and a musician, why should only one manipulate the enemies soul?
That tail flick moved across her field of vision, and I could feel how her attention flowed.
I flicked about it, like a fish teasing a fisherman"s hook, and her attention followed, now made the fish.
I don"t think I have nearly enough skill to do half of what music allows me to through mere bodily movement, but giving a soul false input is nowhere near as hard as anything else I"ve done with soul manipulation.
