I looked over Luna and Fenrir, noting that their bodies were still cleaning out the poisons.

"My elemental resistance kicked in, which I forgot about until now... but they"ll be a bit longer."

I nodded, looking over my 2 new spirits.

Shade was bobbing happily along with them.

"...uhh... following the current system, I could name them Flare and Glow... but... ugh..."

It felt... dumb.

"You are Match." I pointed at the fireball that floated in the air with 2 black dots making eyes on its surface.

It looked like a sphere of solid flame with waves of fiery color moving over it, and flickers of fire leaping up from it"s top side.

So the bottom half was a perfect sphere, and then turned into tongues of fire higher up.

"Aaaaand... uh... Halo. You are Halo."

A sphere of a soft golden light, giving off its gentle shine like a miniature sun.

I characterize Match and Shade as male, while Halo is female. Don"t ask me why, it"s just how it seemed to fit.

"Spirits can make music and manipulate souls as well... and as they get stronger over time, the better they can do so. Eventually I"ll be able to set them to do certain parts for me and manipulate multiple people through them... but until then they can harmonize to work together and gain the power to affect things that way."

I pulled myself out of my thoughts.

"So What has changed?"

Oh. That was a bit ago wasn"t it?

Alright. Nice.

So what"s my spirit magic at for my 3 elements?

Fire Spirit Magic IV [Proficiency 92%] Tier-1

Light Spirit Magic II [Proficiency 38%] Tier-0

Dark Spirit Magic II [Proficiency 38%] Tier-0

Ah yes. Light and Dark balance out thanks to my t.i.tle.

Now if I could just apply that to other elements...

I sigh, and looked up as the crying quieted behind me.

I made sure not to look at her as I went about my business, putting a mix of energy and vitality into the 2 sleeping companions of mine.

It was similar to Healing Star but more gentle and aimed towards acting like caffeine or adrenaline. Hopefully it would work.

Finally I turned to take a closer look at the spirit vessel as Match and Halo used the magic-caffeine concoction I"d thought up to help them wake up.

The soul of the tree wasn"t a spirit. And it never was going to just BECOME a spirit.

It wasn"t made out of an elemental power, but was a plant blessed with a G.o.ddess"s divine power and the concept of life(growth).

Which meant that it would never become a spirit. However, I had a choice now.

Use this insane amount of life energy and soul power to feed my spirits and let some hatch MUCH sooner(Poison is REALLY close), or I can save it and place it into a different plant in the Dungeon, and try to cultivate a plant-monster or affect the growth patterns of the Dungeon.

"Actually... hey Dungeon! Can I fuse the divine concept of growth in this thing to you so that the evolutions happen even faster, or so you gain DP more easily or something?"

Agh. Alright.

"...?"

Agriculture? Huh. Actually... sure the dungeon creatures(technically I"m included, but it feels weird not to so I do anyways) don"t need to eat as long as they stay in the Dungeon... but...

"I seem to be slowly getting more and more non-Dungeon residents, though most of the animals should become residents eventually."

So. Guess I"m holding onto this Nature Soul seedling.

I walked over to the remains of the tree.

"Anything I can use...?"

a.n.a.lyze looked through, and I grabbed a few leftover slivers of wood out of the ashes.

I fused them together with Halo"s help, figuring that a already-compatible material would probably help move the soul into whatever I end up using.

"CRACK!"

My head shot up, as a part of the roof crumpled in.

I looked over at where the ghost had been, and saw nothing.

"After having her sanity truly broken she faded away? At least stick around long enough for me to get out!"

I panicked a little, running over to Luna and Fenrir, and Shade began weakening parts of the walls to try and make the building fall away from us.

"Come on! Wake up d.a.m.n it!"

I slapped Luna a few times, but it was taking too long.

"GAH! What am I supposed to-HOLYs.h.i.tFENRIR!"

A piece of roof falling towards Fenrir.

My fear, my panic, burning.

Match, flying forward, and flames gathering about him as his intent and my will fused.

And an explosion as flame blasted out, blowing away the debris and ripping throughout the building in a ma.s.sive burst of power.

I stared in shock at the burning debris in a burned away circle around us.

"Did I... do that?"

That moment of fear and panic... it felt the same as when I first used FoxFire and somehow got 4 fireb.a.l.l.s instead of 1.

I slowly stood up and looked at Match.

"That... was impressive man."

He made a happy noise and zipped around me.

"Alright... lets get these two away from here a bit and wake them up."

I fashioned mana into a hand and kinda just picked up Luna, lifting her and carrying her out of the blast radius, while I picked up Fenrir myself.

I carried them a bit away, and set them down on the path.

I looked back at the burned-out circle of debris where the 5th test once stood.

"Hey Match?"

"Burble-Guh?"

"Let"s not do that without thinking next time."

"Burble."
