Yoona closed her eyes, trying to think of a plan.

Although she didn"t know how close Minhyun was at finding her location, she had to try her best to lesson any wrongs that could happen in this situation. Usually most people would try to escape, however, there was no way out other than the door. With Jaemin in the vicinity it was impossible to escape and she had no idea what was on the outside anyways. There could be more danger.

The only thing she could do was wait for him while trying her best to stall for time.

Currently, their conversation was at the at the point where Jaemin had described Minhyun as the devil. A hypocritical t.i.tle considering what Jaemin has done throughout his life plus the potential of him being a murderer.

She knew exactly what he was planning to do. He wanted to ruin the image of her boyfriend in her mind. This moment was crucial. Now she had a chance to stall time using this topic.

But could she really use Minhyun"s past for her survival? Wasn"t it betraying him in a sense?

Ultimately at this moment her greatest problem was whether she should obtain information about her lover through Jaemin to stall for time or change the subject and perhaps ruin the chance of stalling time. After all, she knew that Jaemin would have lots to say about Minhyun. That would bring a lot of time for the other side to find her.

What playing card should she choose?

"I don"t care what his nickname is," she said. "You can keep that information to yourself."

In the end, she decided that her safety was most important. This is why she decided to say these words. She knew he would get agitated by her loyalty to Minhyun and ultimately spill everything.

Why did she chose this road? Wasn"t she betraying him? It was a hard fight between the two sides but in the end, she believed that what Minhyun would want was for her to use every bit of her power to survive. To elongate her chance of coming back to him. In the end, her safety was more important. Well... She hoped that was the right answer anyways.

She just hoped that he would come in time so that she could safely escape. She could tell how restless Jaemin was getting as time pa.s.sed by.

He laughed. The annoyances in his eyes were clear. "So you choose to stay in the dark?"

"No," she said truthfully. "I want to find out eventually but I want him to be the one to tell me."

His gaze lowered and a smirk appeared on his lips. "How loyal, but I want to be the one that breaks everything between you. Slowly and painfully."

Yoona tried to hide her smirk. He fell exactly into her plan.

After the gala, Yoona had figured out that Jaemin was not the same put-together man that she dated. The auction proved that her relations with Minhyun had already tarnished some of his sanity. Plus, everything that he lived for had ruined to nothing. Now he was an anxious person who was bound to explode by the smallest taunts. All she needed to do was make sure she didn"t awaken the wrong sides of him.

Or else she didn"t know what would happen to her.

Jaemin moved his neck side to side, the sound of cracks echoing through the room. "He"s a murderer."

Yoona widened her eyes in shock. What did he say? The whole world stopped and she couldn"t think properly. That couldn"t possibly be the truth. Impossible. Jaemin was just playing with her mind, lying so that her image of Minhyun would be ruined… Right?

She glanced at his face. The sinister glint in his eyes made her want to shrivel up. He was lying. Yes he had to be.

"You don"t believe me," he whispered. And then he chuckled. "It"s a story n.o.body in the rich circle dares to say but we all know it"s true."

Jaemin could see how uncomfortable Yoona was. Happiness sprung from his body. Finally, she was understanding his point of view. She was realizing how terrible that man was. Since he knew how important Yoona was to Minhyun, he was going to do everything he could to ruin Minhyun"s image in her mind. After all, he had a hunch that the man who stole his love was the one who orchestrated the downfall of the Moon group. No wonder the two were so confident at the gala.

Tears fell from Yoona"s eyes.

"I believe you."

Jaemin was surprised. He narrowed his eyes. He didn"t realize it would be this easy for their love to break. "Really?"

She let out a deep breath. "I-I had a feeling that he was hiding something dark. Sometimes, although I try not to act like it, but I get scared of him. Everything makes sense."

A smile broke his lips. "Thank you. I"m glad you finally see the light."

Of course, Yoona didn"t actually believe in the words she was saying. She was playing along with the conversation, trying to change the topic to something else. If she were to continuously deny, then Jaemin would further try to ruin her image of Minhyun.

She wasn"t sure if he would easily fall for her words but she decided to play this approach. So far, it looked to be successful but she could see a suspicious glint in Jaemin"s eyes. He wasn"t that easy to fool.

After all, despite her change, he knew that she still looked for the best in people. If it was the old Yoona, she wouldn"t believe in those words. And right now, she really didn"t. Or she hoped she didn"t.

Minhyun couldn"t possibly be a murderer. That was silly. After all, one of the reasons to why he hated the Moon siblings was because they killed someone. Right?

As his girlfriend, she needed to trust in him and wait for the whole story to be revealed.

---

Minhyun crossed his arms. "So there"s a chance that he"s in either locations?"

A security guard nodded. "Correct. There are only two places in the airport that are isolated and perfect for a kidnapping like this. Also, in the security videos it shows that he went to the left side of the airport to the staff area which leads to the exact places we deduct for them to be. Right now, both of my men are at both locations, ready to make their moves"

Minhyun a.n.a.lyzed the floor plan that was handed to him. Both rooms had no windows and a single door. They were both storage rooms holding miscellaneous items for the airport and flights. Now, the question was which one they would be in.

Although there was people on each side, he wanted to be in the right location. He had to be physically present to make sure Yoona was okay. He didn"t trust anyone else.

There was also something else that tugged his mind.

"How was he able to get into the staff area so quickly?" Minhyun asked.

One of the airport workers nervously bit their lips as they stood on the side. "He had a staff card and was able to enter."

"How did he have the staff card."

"I have no idea sir."

It was clear that someone was helping him from the background. Minhyun didn"t know who could be supporting the boy. It definitely couldn"t be the Moon group for they were under serious allegations right now. There was a chance it could be a rival company for they would want to see Minhyun in ruins… But if that was the case, they would"ve already contacted him by now with a ransom; whether it be money or business decisions.

Minhyun banged his fist against the desk.

He had an idea of who it could be. This was definitely personal

Now, there was too many decisions he had to make. Which room to choose and if he should gamble and waste precious time calling a suspect or hurry to Yoona?

And also, out of everyone in this room, it was hard to figure out who he could trust, if anyone. At this point, the only person he could rely on was Ji-ho. That little brat had no reason to be working with his father. He adored Yoona, how could he ever bear to hurt her?

G.o.d d.a.m.n. His head hurt like crazy.

His eyes glanced at the floor plan again.

In a second, he made his decision.

"Let"s go."
