"Was it comfortable sleeping here last night?"Yoona looked up to meet Minhyun"s gaze. She chewed her food and swallowed before speaking. "The bed and room was amazing. I slept like a hibernating bear. Best sleeping experience I"ve ever had."
The bed, in one word, was a cloud. King sized with a cushion that could bounce you all the way to the moon. It was everything Yoona could ask for in a single piece of furniture. That night was possibly the most comfortable night she"d ever spent in her life.
The future was already predicted. For the time she stayed at Minhyun"s, she was going to stay in that bed for most of her time. A fact.
"Good," Minhyun said. Then he glanced over to her phone which was placed on the table before looking back to her. "Is Eunha staying over as well? I don"t see her."
She awkwardly laughed. Yesterday"s conversation popped up in her head. A flush of red rose up to her cheeks. "Yeah, she declined. Said it wasn"t her place to stay with us."
He didn"t need to know about the extra details.
A jolt of happiness jumped in Minhyun"s chest. Where did that feeling come from? He cleared his throat before moving his fork and knife to slice the toast. "How unfortunate."
Yoona raised her eyebrow. There was no emotions behind his words. "Really?"
"Very," he answered. He didn"t bother to meet her eyes and continued to eat.
Clearly, he was trying to be polite, but it was funny to see his reaction. There was no doubt that he did not care about Eunha and only offered to let her stay for Yoona"s comfort.
"Yeah right," she drawled. The corner of her vision lingered on him as she placed another piece of egg into her mouth.
She continued speaking but her voice came out m.u.f.fled, barely audible. The food in her mouth made it impossible to comprehend.
Minhyun c.o.c.ked her head. Cute. She was cute.
"What are you saying?"
Her chipmunk cheeks inflated as she swallowed the food. "Sorry about that, but I was going to say you don"t need to act polite when it comes to my friends. They aren"t close with you, I don"t expect you too. Unless you say something terrible of course. Then your in for some violence."
Minhyun took a sip out of his water with his eyebrows lifted slightly. "I shall keep that in mind."
After more talking, breakfast finished quickly because Minhyun had to go to work. To come home earlier today, he decided to schedule everything earlier in the day. Since it was her first day at his apartment, he wanted to give her a nice housewarming party. Though, it wasn"t much of a party since it would be just the two of them.
On the other hand, Yoona had school later on in the afternoon so she had a few hours to spare. She was going to leave later on.
She watched Minhyun leave, leaning her body against the wall as he pondered on what shoes to wear with his outfit. There was a collection of different dressing shoes on the side, more than a hundred for him to choose from. When he finally chose, he picked them up and put them on.
Minhyun looked up. "You are getting a ride from the driver later today I a.s.sume."
"Yup," she said. "I sent him my schedule yesterday."
"Fantastic. From what Secretary Kim sent me, i"ll be home earlier today at six. Before then, if there are any problems regarding the living s.p.a.ce, Manager Kwon is a reliable helper."
"Okay! He was pretty nice when I met him yesterday."
A small smile entered his lips. He walked over, pausing for a second, before ruffling her hair. "That"s good. Have a good day."
Before she could protest about him messing up her hair, he walked out of the doors. All her complaints muted by the thick doors.
She crossed her arms. Sneaky b.a.s.t.a.r.d.

Just like always, Yoona was attentive in cla.s.s and wrote down her notes diligently. There was nothing eventful about cla.s.s, other than that late student who got called out by the professor. Everyone giggled as he lowered his head and rushed to the seats. The professor was fuming.
It was his fault for messing with someone who hated tardiness. After a few weeks, you"d think they"d learn.
Since cla.s.s ended earlier than she expected, Yoona sat at the benches laid in front of her university, waiting for Wooyoung to pick her up. Her legs swung up and down as she antic.i.p.ated with widened eyes for the black car.
What should she do back at Minhyun"s? Should she study or explore the building? As of right now, the later seemed much more interesting. Writing notes during cla.s.s had already tired her out. There was so much things to do in that complex and she was excited to go on her own little adventure.
While she was thinking happily with a smile on her face, a hand tapped on her shoulder.
She turned her head to see who it could be.
The sight of familiar puppy eyes and mesmerizing smile came to view. Her heart thumped slightly, not because of leftover feelings but because of what she"d heard yesterday. Chills ran up her spine.
His face displayed such warmth, not a dark intent in sight. It was scary to think a sinister being laid behind that beauty. Everything that she fell in love with, crashes and fell into darkness.
She still couldn"t believe it.
Her muscles tensed.
With one breathe, she called out his name. "Jaemin. What are you doing here?"
His eyes softened. A sense of longing lingering in his tone.
"Let"s talk."
