Slowly the sky began to turn dark and silence began to engulf the night.

After a long day of schedules, Minhyun was office, using his spare time to look over the company prospects.

While his boss was taking care of his papers, Secretary Kim was at his desk, located outside of the CEO office. He was writing some doc.u.ments on the computer while staying aware of the time. Minhyun demanded perfection when it came to schedules and timing and Secretary Kim had to make sure when nine hit, he would be in the office, prepared with the presentation he had to offer.

It would be a lie to say he wasn"t nervous. Although Secretary Kim had stayed by his boss"s side for years, the boss wouldn"t take his work lightly. In Minhyun"s eyes, he was like any other worker except he had more trust placed on him. For this, he was thankful.

After all, not everyone had the opportunity to become the secretary of the most successful CEO in Korea.

Finally, a few minutes before nine, Secretary Kim swiftly made his way to the office, knocking on the door like normal.

"Come in."

Hearing the voice of his superior, he led himself inside and quickly set up the television screen to showcase his PowerPoint.

Minhyun awaited silently with his hands clasped on the table. Only the light from the television and the lamp on his desk brightened the room.

Secretary Kim let out a nervous sigh. Let"s hope this goes well.

—-

It did not go well.

By the end of the presentation, Minhyun didn"t bother to take a second look at the partic.i.p.ants.

"I reject all of this," he said before focusing on his work again. Although he had some expectations before the presentation, after looking at the overall picture, Minhyun was certain it wouldn"t work.

During the schedule, Secretary Kim had prepared eight different portfolios of individuals with many talents; however, there was no use for any of them but one. There was too much inconsistencies and risks to take. It was not worth the ha.s.sle.

Secretary Kim could understand why. This project could become huge! Of course, although he thought otherwise, Minhyun had more experience in this field and had a keen eye. He had to know why this project was rejected.

But he was too scared to ask. "Yes sir."

Minhyun glanced over at his Secretary to see the curious expression on his face. He let out a sigh.

"Most of the people you suggested are useless. Forensic psychologist? Another hacker? Instead of focusing on a lot of people I"d rather take what we have now and invest in them. There is no need for a large group. Although there are untrustworthy persons in our current Intel, the enemies roaming are still within our company so it won"t hinder future compet.i.tors."

Secretary Kim was defeated. What his boss said was true. Surely this whole project was doomed to fail. "I understand sir."

Maybe he should just stick with secretary work.

Although he was trying to control his emotions, it was easy to tell that Secretary Kim was quite sad. He wanted to make his superior proud but everything fell down.

Minhyun glanced over, noticing the sorrow behind his companion"s gla.s.ses. "Secretary Kim."

Surprised by the sudden calling of his name, he looked up. "Yes?"

"You"re work wasn"t good enough and lost my complete interest. You understand this."

"Yes sir."

"But," Minhyun began. There was an unfamiliar feeling erupting in his chest. "Good job. I am glad that you tried to make my workload easier."

Secretary Kim was about to feint. No he wanted to scream. No. Was he going to dance? Ah. He couldn"t believe it! Has his boss complimented him twice in the span of a week. This was absolutely absurd and couldn"t believe what was happening. Happiness began to glisten in his eyes.

He was quite embarra.s.sed to have his project rejected, but now he was completely fine.

"Thank you sir!"

Oh how he wished to have a recording device to record the compliment his boss had just voiced out. All his work was worth it. The compliment was enough.

"Now," Minhyun said. Just like a knife, the happy atmosphere suddenly turned murky. He was not used to such positive emotions within the office. "Back on the main focus."

Of course, the happiness wouldn"t last. Secretary Kim, nonetheless, was ready to listen to his superiors orders. "Yes sir?"

Is there any more news from the hacker White Mask?"

White Mask was the person uncovered which persons was their mole. With this proficient hacking skills, he would"ve surely found more information about the Moon group by now. Minhyun had done some extra research on White Mask before and found his portfolio to be very intensive. There had to be new information given.

Secretary Kim nodded. "Yes sir. White Mask has alerted me that he found a very important piece of information that would surely catch your interest. He said that this may be the key to the Moon group"s first downfall."

Minhyun leaned in. Now this was what he wanted to hear.

"Go on."

"But, he has a request," Secretary Kim began to say with an awkward laugh.

"What does he want."

"He wants to meet you sir to discuss what he found. Apparently, he finds the information about the Moon group quite "interesting" and wants to be a part of the whole scheme." It was unheard of for such an ordeal to occur. No hacker would dare meet their clients. One of the traits most hackers had was that they always concealed their ident.i.ty behind the screen. Whenever talking on the phone, they would morph their voices through a machine as well. But to think White Mask would ask to meet the CEO? It was strange.

Minhyun thought for a moment, taking in all the risks and advantages of this situation. In most cases he would automatically reject the invitation to meet, however, knowing White Mask"s accomplishments. He quite wanted to meet the fellow. After all, although revealing his ident.i.ty as CEO may be a risk, for the hacker it was a bigger one. Therefore, Minhyun was at an advantage.

"Schedule for tomorrow night."

Secretary Kim widened his eyes. He didn"t expect boss to say yes too easily. In fact, he asked the question knowing it would get rejected. "Y-yes sir!"

Today was the strangest day.

---

In a penthouse located in the middle of bustling Seoul, was a male in front of his computers. There were six screens of all sizes, laid out in front of him, all containing different coding information.

While his left hand was typing at a crazy speed on the keyboard, the right was placing chips into his mouth. He licked his lips. Tasty.

Suddenly, the white-haired boy got mail. This one was specifically from his important clients account. With his eyes widened with excitement, he quickly opened the contents in another tab. After reading what the sender had to offer, he let out a small giggle.

So he was going to meet the person who wanted to take down the Moon group?

He wiped his dirty-hands on a white napkin. This was very exciting.

Super exciting.

Mega exciting.

He couldn"t wait.

He jumped out of his seat and began to hum one of his favorite girl group songs. On his face was a grand smile, mirroring his joy. What should he wear? The bright blue suit that was thrown on the ground in his closet? His red leather jacket?

Another giggle escaped his lips. Who gives? He just couldn"t wait to uncover the information on hand. It was quite juicy. He was excited for the bloodshed to come.
