Minhyun"s apartment was perhaps the most awe-striking interior she had ever seen. The walls were pure white or black depending on the room you walked into. The furniture style was modern and advanced with shiny or matte covers. Different paintings were placed on the wall, some realistic landscape while others were modern. When she walked to the living room, the sight of the city came into view behind a large window which took up a whole wall. She left her suitcase and immediately walked to the window. Car lights and buildings brightened up the dark sky, resembling a constellation. To think he saw this view every day... What a blessing to his eyes.
It was a home fit for a G.o.d.
However, when she was admiring the apartment, there was something off about the whole picture. Everything was beautifully displayed, touched by the hands of a professional interior designer. She felt like she was in a furniture store - but that was the problem. It didn"t feel like a house. There was not a hint of personal touch or life in this building.
No photo was in sight.
Well, Minhyun did just move back into this place a week ago right? He said that this was one of his many apartments all over the world. Perhaps, it was a given that the place would give off such an empty feeling.
It was just a bit, sad? There was a deep-rooted feeling of loneliness that arose in her when she lingered in the empty area further.
When she reached the kitchen, just like Wooyoung had said, a paper was on top of the marbled counter. The contents were simple. Her room was the one on the back left of the hallway, the door will have a sticky note with her name imprinted on it. She would be allowed to access all utilities offered and she was free to do whatever she liked. His home was hers.
She let out a giggle. Not today, but when she had the time, she was definitely going to explore the building.
Next, there was also a maid who came in frequently to clean up so there was no need for her to. All her clothes and mess will be cleaned up during the day. Since Yoona wasn"t the cleanest person around, this perk definitely caught her interest. She felt like she was in a hotel or something.
Lastly, if she was hungry, she could go downstairs to grab food and there would be a card for her to use to buy anything...
Wait a minute what?!? Just then, Yoona noticed the shining black cared placed on top of the counter. There was gold accents for the words and the words "VIP" were written on the top, indicating that this was no ordinary card.
Was the card glowing? She rubbed her eyes. Nope it wasn"t, but it felt like it did.
"This guy..." Yoona mumbled. Staying at his house was enough. Now he was paying for her food? She loved a man who gave her free food, she truly did, hence her ramen comment, but this was too much. She felt like she was leaching off of him.
Nothing on her side was offered, yet he was letting her stay over and was giving her money for food. She had to repay him somehow but didn"t have much to offer him. Minhyun was someone with all the money in the world. What could she possibly give to the MH CEO?
Suddenly a simple idea popped up in her head. It wasn"t the most unique idea nor the hardest. It definitely did not rival what he had to offer, but she wanted to try. For him.
From what she heard, Minhyun did not make meals himself and ate at the downstairs restaurant when he was at home. So why not make a homemade dish for him?
Yoona wasn"t the best cook, she couldn"t lie about that. She was nowhere near the level of Lucas. However, she knew how to make a decent breakfast.
With her skills, she could make some tasty eggs Benedict, toast, some spread, and other breakfast foods. Of course, there was no guarantee that he would like it but it was worth a shot. Better than doing nothing.
First, she checked his refrigerator to see if he had the right ingredients. When she opened the door however, she was surprised to see only a few water bottles and smoothies inside. He had a beautiful kitchen. Has he ever used it?
Even though Yoona herself wasn"t the cook, she still had some ingredients inside of her refrigerator. Plus, her mother also gave her homemade side dishes to eat knowing that she wouldn"t be able to make complicated foods.
A house can be a reflection of it"s owners, and even without Minhyun in the room, she was learning more about him. His lifestyle was clearly far from hers. At first, she was quite jealous that he could live in such luxury, but now, she realized that there was importance in her lifestyle too. No matter how poor she was.
But there was no need for her to worried. Because during her stay, she was going to make some changes in this household.
She was going to bring some warmth into his cold life.
