Chapter 1324: Bustling and Lively Home (1)
“That’s right, you should let your mother take care of you,” Jian Shuxing quickly seconded.
If his wife didn’t end up staying here to take care of their daughter, when she returned home, she would definitely become sad and upset. She would once again a.s.sume that their daughter hadn’t yet forgiven them.
Naturally, he also wanted to stay. He wanted to spend more time with his daughter.
Married or not, she would always be their baby girl.
Master Zhai replied: “I guess we will trouble Mrs. Jian with this work then. We will all take turns to look after Yiling.”
And thus, even if Zhai Yunsheng had a different opinion, what else could he say?
Everything was all good as long as they were all happy.
###
At night, Zhai Yunsheng hugged Jian Yiling from behind as they lay in bed. He had one hand on Jian Yiling’s belly as he gently rest his chin on Jian Yiling’s head.
“Are you not happy?” Jian Yiling asked Zhai Yunsheng.
Out of everyone’s reactions when they heard she was pregnant, Zhai Yunsheng’s reaction was probably the coldest.
“I’m just worried,” Zhai Yunsheng replied in a low and deep voice. It seemed like he was suppressing something in his mind.
“What are you worried about?” Jian Yiling asked in a small voice.
“My mother died when she gave birth to me,” Zhai Yunsheng replied.
“But I’m healthy. That’s why I’m not afraid of giving birth to a baby.”
The reason why Zhai Yunsheng’s mother pa.s.sed away when she gave birth to Zhai Yunsheng was because of her health problems.
“I know,” Zhai Yunsheng said.
He knew that with today’s medical technology, it was safe for most women to give birth.
Even when his mother gave birth to him, she only pa.s.sed away because of her health conditions.
Despite knowing this, Zhai Yunsheng still couldn’t help but worry.
There were some fears which were deeply engraved into his bones.
Zhai Yunsheng buried his head in Jian Yiling’s neck as he whispered: “I’m still afraid that our child will inherit my health problem.”
Jian Yiling could feel the fragility of Zhai Yunsheng’s embrace.
There was indeed a possibility that their child would end up inheriting Zhai Yunsheng’s health condition.
“But even if he or she inherited it, it can still be controlled. You will all live a long and happy life,” Jian Yiling said with certainty.
“Well…” Zhai Yunsheng started. He was still worried.
There was no way to avoid this.
“Pregnancy will also be hard on you,” Zhai Yunsheng continued in a deep voice.
He knew that pregnancy could cause all kinds of problems. Zhai Yunsheng was still worried.
He did not want Jian Yiling to suffer this.
“I’m not suffering.” Jian Yiling said with certainty, “Having a baby is a happy thing. I want you to have a bigger family. I also want to have a bigger family.”
They were both used to being alone.
Jian Yiling once longed for a home.
And now that she had a home, she wanted her own children with the person she loved. She wanted her life to be just like millions of other ordinary families.
“I’ll stay with you,” Zhai Yunsheng said as he hugged the person in his arms tightly.
“Mhmm, we will stay together. I will be a mother soon,” Jian Yiling softly said. She was looking forward to this.
“As long as it’s something you want to do, I’ll stay beside you.”
The two of them cuddled in bed together.
“You…” Jian Yiling suddenly s.h.i.+fted when she noticed the blazing heat from Zhai Yunsheng’s body. When she understood what was happening, she felt slightly embarra.s.sed.
“Don’t pay attention to it. It’s a natural reaction,” Zhai Yunsheng replied. “I won’t mess around with you when you’re pregnant.”
“But… You…”
“I can’t control how my body reacts when I’m hugging you. Don’t worry about it though. Just sleep. Sleep is good.”
“Okay.”
