Chapter 780 - Playing into Alexs Hand
Chapter 780 - Playing into Alex"s Hand
"No need." Leo sneered as he tossed a paper onto the table.
Davi and Liza peeked at the paper before reading it.
The extermination of the Fire G.o.d Clan will be held in six months. Unrelated people please leave the city because this will become the main battlefield. If you still don"t leave when the war comes, don"t blame someone else if you die in the process.
Even if you are alive, this city wouldn"t be a place to live after this war. This is the last ultimatum from my Spirit Nest, so I hope you all can adhere to this warning and leave the city.
Alexander Sirius.
Davi and Liza opened their eyes wide. They never expected to see the Spirit Nest openly saying the time they attack. In this case, the Fire G.o.d Clan will have time to prepare everything in this place. At the same time, if the people followed this warning and left the town, the Fire G.o.d Clan could tear those buildings down and build arrays all over the place.
Davi felt something was wrong when he saw this.
"The timing is aligned with what that Alexander Sirius said… But it doesn"t feel like him to announce something like this. With his style, he should be playing with a surprise attack to lower their casualty… Or did I miss something?" Davi frowned, not knowing what Alex thought about this.
Alex"s figure was still lingering inside his mind as he knew Alex was not a person like this. In other words, this was nothing but another plan of his. The problem would be what kind of plan he hid behind this announcement.
Davi thought for a moment and shook his head as he couldn"t come up with a plan despite knowing everything about this attack. He only needed to act his part and watched how the situation unfolded.
"I see. This is an act of foolishness. It seems he is acting too confident that he can beat us. No, I should say this is certainly like him. Look at how he foolishly embarra.s.sed me. I will certainly beat this guy in this war." Davi smacked the table, making a frustrated face.
"This announcement has been spread to the citizens before we know about it. So, there is an influx of people leaving this city… Not that I mind though. Since he dares to act like this, I will make this city a fortress and bury him inside this city." Leo grinned.
"When does this announcement start spreading?" Davi asked.
"A month ago. In other words, we have five months to organize our force and make some traps." Leo nodded.
"How about the Divine Kingdom and Phantasm Sect?" Davi asked.
"They are jerks. That Elizabeth managed to acquire two-third of the entire kingdom"s power not long ago. And I think it won"t be long for her coronation… Maybe after the situation of the continent stabilizes after this war, I think we can see a queen from the Divine Kingdom."
"Oh! If I am not wrong, she is one of the people that managed to enter the tower inside the Ancient Battlefield…" Davi nodded. "Well, that la.s.s is indeed a terrifying one. So, that means she has rejected the alliance from you?"
"Yes. Not only did she reject it, she even stated to be neutral during the war and gathered many of my citizens. With those people, she could start spreading the people in her territory to flourish all those territories." Leo gritted her teeth. He still remembered how Elizabeth refused him, and it made him very frustrated.
"Well, since she is no use for us in this battle. How about the Phantasm Sect?"
"You already know about their reputation right? The moment I came to them, their sect master rejected it without a chance of negotiation. And from my spy, I heard there is an internal conflict between the young master and the sect master.
"Unfortunately, I can"t take advantage of them since both of them have the same thought of never partic.i.p.ating in a war like this and stay neutral. And it"s not the matter about taking the sect master"s seat, so it"s not easy to influence him, especially with our lack of time." Leo shook his head.
Davi"s eyes flashed as he remembered how Alex said everything had been taken care of. It seemed Alex had done something to these two influences that made them didn"t or unable to partic.i.p.ate in this war.
"We have this city anyway, so I am sure we can win since you have decided to go all out," Davi a.s.sured them and smiled.
"How about you, old woman? Do you have any opinions regarding this matter?"
"No. I only want the layout of this city and where you are going to place the trap. With the city this big, I believe we can take care of more than five hundred thousand people at once."
"A half-million… Fair enough." Davi nodded. "Since everyone from Fire G.o.d Clan partic.i.p.ated in this war, it should be one hundred thousand… if we calculate those Martial Kings or lower. I can bring forty thousand people at once while this old woman said she would bring seventy thousand people."
Davi"s number seemed to be the lowest, but no one complained because they knew Davi"s family tradition. With a tradition like that, it is perfectly normal to have a lower number. However, it also came with a positive in which the survivors were elites.
"So, in total, we have two hundred ten thousand soldiers." Leo nodded with a solemn look.
"Yes. Now let"s calculate their number. a.s.suming that the Blackwade Clan and the Drunken Pavilion lend half of their number, which is fifty thousand each… They have a total of one hundred thousand.
"In addition, the Spirit Nest only has elites in their ranks, so it shouldn"t be a problem. The only problem is their money. Will they use their money to hire loose cultivators? If that is the case, we should expect a few ten thousand more, especially with the Blackwade Clan"s wealth…" Davi thought for a moment.
"Yes. We have utilized our network to get another thirty thousand people from those loose cultivators. Fortunately, I put a condition that all they get will depend on their efforts." Leo nodded.
"Oh! If that is the case, you don"t need to open your treasury yet and pay them with the money you get from those three influences." Davi nodded.
"Yes. Though we need to pay them some, so they know we won"t break our promise."
Davi looked down and pondered the matter. "At first glance, Alexander is at a disadvantage. Even with that fourth influence under their Spirit Nest, their number will still be lower than them. However, if there are more s.p.a.ce Element Masters in that influence, the one in disadvantage is this side.
"s.p.a.ce Element Master is known as an Army Destroyer not for nothing… And with me leaving this alliance at that time… I see. They will get nothing but despair when the time comes. The old woman will surely try to break through and leave before seeking Alex"s forgiveness.
"But it is different for Leo. His strength will surely vanish from this continent with their two supports leaving him. Haiz, I pity you Leo. After knowing you for a long time, you seek your own death… Especially when it"s only your branch that was seeking their death.
"If you can let go of that past, I am sure your influence will stand proud among others… Such a shame." Davi closed his eyes and sighed. He started lying and praised Leo. "Haiz. A young man with that kind of talent will eventually fall because of his recklessness. I pity such talent."
"True enough. If he didn"t do something unforgivable to my Snow White Mountain, I will forgive him and take him under my wing. I can even match him up with the top talent and beauty of my Snow White Mountain." Liza shook her head and sighed.
Despite how they were mad, they recognized Alex"s talent and power. Unfortunately, that kind of person turned out to be their enemies.
"Anyway, I will give you the layout and the plan at a later date since I need to start preparing first with the other elders." Leo glanced at Liza.
"Sure. As long as I know about that, I can mobilize my disciples freely. Besides, a defensive battle is more advantageous in general, so I am up for it." Liza nodded with a solemn expression.
"Still, there should be three 10-Star Martial Saints in their ranks. I will handle the expert from the Spirit Nest myself. How about you two?" Leo asked.
"I have a little grudge in the past, so I will fight that old drunkard." Liza snorted.
"Then I will handle the Blackwade Clan." Davi shrugged. He didn"t really have any grudge since he always acted with benefit, so he didn"t move that much and created trouble.
"How about their force?" Liza asked.
"I will handle the Spirit Nest and the mercenary. If the Spirit Nest indeed comes with only a few people, I will send a portion of my force to both of you," Leo said.
"I think it will be the same as their leaders, I will handle the Blackwade Clan, and this old hag will destroy the Drunken Pavilion."
"Alright. With this, the plan has been finalized. Do you want to add another condition with this plan?"
"No. I can smell money from this, so I don"t really have a problem with this plan." Davi nodded.
"I have the same opinion as him." Liza agreed.
"I understand. The Fire G.o.d Clan will take care of the rest and inform all of you at a later date." Leo nodded and ended the discussion with a clap.
"Alright. Since we have finalized our agreement, it"s time for me to go and prepare for this. I should be able to arrive one month before the war to familiarize myself with the landscape of this town." Liza nodded.
Davi agreed with what she said. Although cultivators could fly to the sky, sometimes they needed to fight on the land to take advantage of the landscape. Hence, an influence usually had at least a third of their force to stay on the land.
"Yes. I will take care of everything. Thank you for accepting this invitation." Leo nodded and stretched his hand. "I am sorry, but I can"t see you off because I am afraid there is a spy in the town."
"Don"t worry. I know about it." Liza waved her hand, saying it was not a big deal, and flew away.
Leo then glanced at Davi, wondering if he wanted to stay a bit longer or not, but it seemed the latter had decided.
"Never mind. I should prepare my force too." Davi sighed and flew away. He took another glance at this city and thought. "You two are playing in his hand this whole time, and you can"t recognize it."
Leo looked at his disappearing back and called someone"s name as soon as Davi disappeared from his vision. "Elison."
"Yes, Sir." A figure appeared on his back as he kneeled on one knee. He wore a full black suit that covered everything except his eyes.
"Follow that Davi and report everything he did."
"Sir… Do you mean…" Elison was certainly taken aback by this order. After all, it meant Leo didn"t trust Davi.
"I don"t know about that old hag, but I know she won"t betray me at this time. As for that old Davi, he is the most versatile in changing heart. There is a possibility of him inviting Alexander Sirius again to tell them about this and ask for a higher reward from them.
"That"s why I want to know everything about him and make sure he doesn"t betray me. After all, that person has met this Alexander Sirius once." Leo released his killing intent.
"Understood. I shall follow every movement to the best of my ability." Elison nodded and disappeared.
Leo then looked up, watching the blue sky. Alex"s face appeared in the form of illusion as he thought. "I will destroy you and that arrogance of yours. My Fire G.o.d Clan is not a pushover."
