Chapter 456: Another Encounter With Elven Race
456 Another Encounter With Elven Race
Meanwhile, Lilian was shocked by Alex"s power. She never thought Alex could defeat all those monsters quickly and with that insane style to boot. She did not dare to engage the monsters in close combat as she did not have the confidence to do so.
However, she knew mages had their own style, so she could not really say anything about his style since she could see Alex was very proficient with it.
After seeing Alex killed all the monsters, she got pretty pumped up. She had been holding back this whole time to make sure she had enough distance to escape with Alex if anything went wrong.
"I have made you wait, grown cat." She smirked as she made a fire on her right hand and ice on her left hand.
"Fire and Ice dual Thorns."
Both of her hands shot out an arrow with their respective element before they suddenly came together and flew toward the giant tiger.
The giant tiger threw his paw toward this attack, but when it was touched by this attack, half of its paw was burning while the other one was freezing.
"Roar!"
The roar was echoing through the sky, and a series of roars were heard from the woods beside them.
Alex frowned when he saw this. He immediately appeared in front of the woods and sent a thought transmission to Lilian. "Leave the monsters to me. Finish that tiger quickly."
"!!!" Lilian glanced at him and nodded.
She looked at the giant tiger and placed her hand on the ground. The ground suddenly froze and spread toward the giant tiger. The giant tiger tried to leap to the sky, but a huge ice spike rose from the freezing ground. It pierced through the other"s paw.
"Roar Roar!" It let out a pained roar. But Lilian did not stop there, she immediately burned the freezing ground and channeled it to the spike. She was trying to burn the tiger from within.
The tiger also noticed this dangerous move, so he immediately climbed the spike and freed his paw.
He then leaped toward Lilian and threw his paw again, trying to crush her to death.
"Ice Spike." She made another giant spike to stab the giant tiger, but the tiger managed to dodge it mid-air.
"!!!" She furrowed her eyebrows before leaping backward to avoid the giant tiger. However, the giant tiger immediately jumped forward and sent his fist toward her.
At this time, a Fire Phoenix appeared from the other side and hit the giant tiger, making it lose its balance.
"Wha-!" Even Lilian was surprised by this. Alex was already fighting so many monsters at once, and he even managed to support her. Little did she know, Alex was used to a situation like this where he and his spirits helped each other despite being surrounded by magical beasts or soldiers. That was why he did not have any trouble keeping all the monsters on his side at bay while helping her.
Lilian did not let this chance go and leaped toward the giant tiger"s neck. She placed both of her hands on its neck.
"Blazing and Freezing Collar!"
A big collar suddenly appeared on the tiger neck, burning its neck on the side and freezing it on the other side.
"Roar Roar!"
Lilian did not stop here as she immediately appeared right below the tiger"s belly. She duck down and spun a few times before a giant fire and ice tornado appeared out of nowhere.
"Twin Elements Gust."
Not only it inflicted damage to the tiger, but it also sent the tiger up high. Lilian placed her hand on the ground again and made a huge spike that pierced the tiger"s body and killed it. Although she did not need help from Alex, she was still grateful for his help as she could finish the battle sooner than she expected.
"Roa-!"
"Boom Boom Boom!" Right after she killed the tiger, she heard a series of explosions from the side. She turned her head and was prepared to charge to his aid, but she noticed that all the monsters were already lying on the ground.
She sucked a cold breath. She thought there were around two hundred monsters in that horde, but Alex killed all of them in an instant. She was wondering who was this man called Alexander Sirius. She realized she had been underestimating him this whole time.
If Alex"s age was forty or more, she could understand how he was this powerful. But what could he do with 23 years? It already took most of her time to raise her strength to 6-Star Tier 5 mage, and her age was far above him. In comparison, she was close to Charya"s age. She muttered, "Who is he…"
She had a dilemma. At the very least, she knew Alex was a member of their Empyrean Guild and did not have any ill intent toward the guild. She could just keep observing him. She wondered if she should ask him to form a group with her so that she could keep a tab on him. After a while, she shook her head as she left it to the guild master to decide.
Alex looked at her, clueless. He simply said, "We have finished our mission, right?"
"Yes. We have." She nodded.
"I will deal with the rest. You can rest first, and we will go back to the guild."
He nodded and left while Lilian took care of the tiger"s corpse.
It was at this time Alex noticed another presence within the forest. He shouted. "Who?"
"!!!" Lilian heard the shout and turned her head.
Suddenly, a woman appeared from the forest. Pretty was what everyone would think when they saw her. She had long silver hair and a graceful body… similar to Ruby"s. She wore a set of uniforms with a leaves pattern. However, the most noticeable trait was her long pointed ears. She was an elf.
Alex observed her cultivation and noticed it was only 5-Star.
"I also have the same mission to get rid of the giant tiger. But it seems I am late." She said politely. "I have seen both of your fights, and it could be said that I am intrigued. One of you has two elements, while the other one has a powerful field of vision and flame."
Alex raised his guard as he was waiting for Lilian to come. "Who are you…"
The elf was surprised when she heard that question. She never thought someone did not know her name.
"I am sorry for my teammate"s rudeness Princess Shelka. He is practicing this whole time, so he does not know you." Lilian immediately apologized to the elf. She then sent a thought transmission to Alex. "She is the princess of Elven Race Royal Family, Shelka La Muerte. She is the one most likely to become the next generation Elven Queen as she has Pure Wind Element."
"!!!" Alex was surprised by three things. First would be her status. The second was her element, which was the Pure Wind Element. Last but not least was her name… La Muerte… Wasn"t it… Alex shuddered as he shook that thought off his mind. This was a different world, and that name should have a different meaning.
"No no. It is I who should apologize. I have arrived at this place for a while, but I am too curious about both of you, so I decide to watch." She politely replied.
"Does Princess want this tiger? Then, consider this as our gift." Lilian said.
Alex frowned. If they gave the tiger to her, they would lose their mission and would not get the points. But he felt relieved after what she said next.
"No. I am grateful for your thought alone. But, our Elven Kingdom does not want to claim what is not ours. After all, both of us are the six races that have been fighting together for generations. Although the Human Race has declined, it is still not an excuse to do that." Shelka shook her head.
Alex wondered if this was what her races thought or only her. If it was what the entire Elven Races thought, he felt it would be easier for him when he challenged their trial.
Lilian looked at her, not knowing what to do. The tiger"s corpse was inside her s.p.a.ce ring. She was wondering if she should still give it to her or not despite the rejection, considering the other party"s background.
Seeing their hesitation, Shelka a.s.sured them. "Don"t worry about me. You can take them back. As long as the monster is slain, I have no objections."
"What are we going to do?" Alex asked with thought transmission.
"I guess, we can bring this and head back to the guild. You should know that our kingdom is ruled by 2-Star Tier 6 mage. But their kingdom is ruled over by their Elf King, a 7-Star Tier 6 Mage. We can"t act carelessly in front of her."
"I see. That will be bad." Alex understood. The human ruler alone could not hold a candle to their king. If they decided to go war against them, it would be one sided annihilation. Of course, if there were such a thing, he would not hesitate to call his spirits even if they had many things to do in the other world. If he could just reach 5-Star, he can level up his spirit to fight their kings. That way, he had a chance to fight their kingdom. Of course, it would be best if that did not happen.
He wanted peace in this world after killing more than a hundred thousand humans and monsters in the previous world. He did not care how much he would kill, but it would be best to stop the situation from going toward that direction. As for the EXP and Gacha Tickets, Anna and the others were taking care of that in the other world.
"Then, we will excuse ourselves, your highness." After a while, Lilian decided to accept it as she bowed slightly and took Alex away.
"See you soon." Shelka smiled.
Alex and Lilian then headed back to the guild, but Alex glanced back once, wondering what she meant by "See you soon." He shook his head and asked Nano to investigate the Elven Kingdom after he finished with the Human Kingdom.
According to Lilian, they could get the Spirit Stones reward from the guild as this mission required an advanced payment from the client. So, they immediately came back to the guild, not to the client.
Shelka watched them until she could not see them anymore. At this time, another elf appeared.
"Mistress, you seem happy." She said.
"Happy huh… I don"t know whether I am happy or not. But I can say, I am intrigued." She said.
"I see. This is a surprise. Mistress usually does not look at others with such eyes and to think we meet two of them at the same time…" She glanced at Shelka.
"Not two, one."
"!!!" She was amazed before frowning. "The male?"
"Yes."
"Does Mistress not fancy the female one? This is the first time I see someone has two elements in their body." She said.
"Yes. She has. However, the elements are not synchronized. So, I am sure she is not born with it."
"Then, do you mean she acquired the element? But how?"
"Who knows."
"... Then, how about the young man?"
"He? He is still holding back his power greatly. I see that he has a unique way of using his element, but I feel there is more to him than we can see." Shelka said her honest opinion. As an elf that was proud of their element manipulation, Shelka could see through both of their styles instantly. "However… the most intriguing thing about him is… I can feel that he would soon come to our kingdom. It"s like my racial"s instinct telling me that."
"Is he one of the Slave Traders? Or someone who hates us? Should we eliminate him?"
"Hmm… I don"t know. I will try to report it to my father." Shelka said as she turned back. "Let"s go back."
