Chapter 560: Teodross
560 Teodross
Meanwhile,
Alex opened his eyes after a few minutes unconscious.
"Kh…" He struggled to open his eyelids. His Spiritual Energy, Injuries and Mental Energy had been healed by the light, so as soon as he realized it, his eyes instantly opened.
Alex used his hand to support his body before getting up. He looked at another plain white world, wondering where he was.
"Is that person love the plain white world so much?" Alex muttered to himself, getting sick of this white world.
"Where is this?" He looked around, not going to miss a single detail that would be the clue of this place like in the Phoenix Trial.
Unbeknownst to him, a middle-aged man stood a few meters behind him. The middle-aged man had long blue hair with a pair of dragon wings and phoenix wings. His muscular body released a certain aura, making one couldn"t take their eyes from him.
Alex abruptly turned around after noticing the presence. He narrowed his eyes upon locking his eyes on him.
"Are you another wisp of a soul that only gives me a message?" Alex activated his Spirit Eyes, albeit found nothing.
The middle-aged man walked toward him slowly.
"Who are you? What are you going to do?" Alex took out his sword and spear, raising his guard to the maximum. He remembered that in a certain story. If he met a soul like this, they would most likely come and take over his body. The reason was his perfect body and peerless talent.
That was why he would attack him if the middle-aged man did anything strange. Alex was not afraid of him because he was only a wisp of soul, and according to his Spirit Eyes, the real person was already dead.
Suddenly, the middle-aged man shocked him to the core as he kneeled on one knee, clasping his hand respectfully. This was like a master and a servant procession. Two pairs of wings suddenly flapped, revealing a mighty pressure as the person in question introduced himself. "Teodross, Rank 2 G.o.d, Strength G.o.d, greets Master, Spirit King, Alexander Sirius."
"Spirit King?" Alex"s body shook after hearing those two words. He remembered that he had a past life that was connected to Anna and Anya, his spirits. He muttered to himself, "Is this my past life"s ident.i.ty? A Spirit King? If that is the case, then it is no wonder I have Anna and the others… How about this person? Is he my acquaintance from my past life? I don"t want to get too close to my past life and live like him… I want to forge my own path in this."
The middle-aged man noticed his reaction and quickly bowed his head. "It would seem Master has chosen otherwise. I am sorry for startling you. Let me introduce myself in another way. I am Teodross, Your Previous Life"s friend… and the one who you helped back then. I can"t tell you anything other than these two because it wouldn"t do you any good."
"Hmm…" Teodross pondered for a moment before saying, "I still have my consciousness in this soul of mine… and might be the last consciousness, so yeah, I am real. As for this trial, this is a trial that I need to set up no matter what, just for you. However, I can"t tell you why I set up this trial."
Alex tilted his head in confusion. Even after completing the trial, not only was he clueless about everything, questions kept coming inside his head one by one.
"Alright. So, what will you do here since you are not going to tell me anything?" Alex asked with a serious expression.
"I won"t do anything because I have created this trial for that purpose. With the scepter in Master"s hand, I am sure you have realized the requirement of this trial." Teodross said while pausing for a while as he stared at the Fire G.o.d Scepter on Alex"s hand.
"!!!" Alex quickly raised his hand, noticing this staff had yet to leave his hand. "What is happening here? I do realize the requirement for this trial, but I don"t know what this trial is for? Is it only to awaken the Dragon and Phoenix Aura? In that case, I would surely have awakened it before completing the trial."
Teodross smiled. "Yes. One of the reasons is the Dragon and Phoenix Aura. However, the energy that you have right now is still unpolished and small."
"Hmm?" Furrowing his eyebrows, Alex released both auras.
The Dragon and Phoenix intertwined as it gave a surge of power to him, one for strength and one for defense.
Teodross still smiled as he continued.
"This technique is a Peak Heaven Tier Technique that I created back then. The dragon aura could double your strength immediately even when you are a Martial Saint. With this technique, I claimed the t.i.tle of Strength G.o.d.
"The Dragon Energy that you have absorbed is still too small to awaken the portion of Martial Monarch and Martial Saint. For example, you can only activate this technique to boost your strength in the Martial Emperor Stage. In other words, if you have one thousand dragon strength, it would only give you an additional one thousand.
"You wouldn"t be able to use this technique anymore after you reach Martial Monarch, let alone Martial Saint.
"The same as Phoenix Aura. It would give you the best defense you could hope for as it is like a covering yourself with dragon scales. However, normal dragon scales could only withstand physical attacks while this aura could defend the soul or pressure attack. The power is the same. If Master is a Martial Emperor, you could only use the defense of the Martial Emperor"s dragon scale.
"You need to absorb the energy and cultivate the Martial Monarch before you could use the next level.
"In this place, you could absorb the necessary energy to cultivate this technique… though you need a month or two. Considering how useful this technique in the future, I think giving up a month or two is worth it." Teodross nodded.
"It"s worth the effort, but in this situation, I need to go back immediately. I am worried about Anna and the others." Alex sighed. He purposely said Anna"s name to probe whether he really had a relations.h.i.+p with him.
"Ah, Anna and Anya, such a nostalgic name. To think the two kids really became your wife." Teodross used "Became" instead of "Become" because he only knew about the previous life.
This also answered Alex"s question.
"I am sure they are going to be fine. It will only take a month or two."
Alex tried opening his system, and luckily, he could open it. Taking out Anna"s card, he said, "Anna. After Sherry and the others finished, can you take them somewhere because I might need to stay in this place for a while."
Anna didn"t know what he was planning to do and for what reason, but she still answered with a "yes."
Alex then turned back at Teodross.
He didn"t ask anything about the card and how Alex interacted with Anna. Teodross simply smiled. "Have you decided?"
"Yeah. I am going to get all the energy to cultivate the technique. Besides, I can utilize the barrier to block them for a while before sneaking out the barrier with Teleportation Array." Alex shrugged.
"Ah… Actually, that"s not possible." Teodross finally made an expression other than a smile.
"What do you mean?"
"After you absorb the energy here, this barrier would crumble. After all, I use the Phoenix Aura to reinforce the barrier as to prevent a Martial Saint from scratching this barrier." Teodross said embarra.s.sedly.
Alex fell into silence as his expression darkened.
"Haha… I have another thing to make up for it. As you might have realized, the energy around you is a natural Spiritual Energy and only infused by Dragon and Phoenix auras. This allows you to cultivate in this place.
"Seeing you are a 4-Star Martial Emperor and still need to consolidate your foundation, I am sure you can become a 6-Star Martial Emperor within two months. I have seen your cultivation speed and know that you need around three to four months before advancing to 6-Star Martial Emperor. So, I think this will be a good chance for you." Teodross regained his smile.
"But I still need to deal with the Fire G.o.d Main Clan that would come to this place. I don"t know who they would send, but my prediction is a peak Martial Monarch or even a Saint…" Alex sighed with a troubled expression. He pondered for a moment and muttered to himself, "It seems I need to use Master"s token to beat those people before breaking through the enemy rank with the others."
There was no other way, Alex thought. To get something, he needed to sacrifice something. Besides, with him showing all of these spectacular things, it might even come under the radar of their main clan. In other words, if he killed them or escaped without killing them, he would soon become a wanted person.
After finding his calm, Alex looked at Teodross.
Teodross put a grim expression as he knew how much trouble he brought to Alex. He then started explaining the thing Alex needed to know.
"I know this reward might not be satisfying for you, so I prepare another reward… although it"s still incomplete." Teodross said as he clapped his hand before a sword and a spear appeared above him.
"This is rank 8 sword and spear. They were created with a rank 8 Thaysten, and I added my blood in it. How about you attack this sword?"
Alex was confused but still drew his sword before sending a sword wave to fly toward the weapons.
Surprisingly, the weapon started glowing before they released Spiritual Energy, creating a kind of barrier in front of them.
"Bam!"
The barrier completely blocked the attack like nothing.
"This…" Alex tried recalling all the things about forging in his mind.
"Normal or elemental weapons might have residual energy that would enhance our Spiritual Energy as soon as we channel it. It would then create a stronger attack. However, these two weapons are different.
"Firstly, they were created by shaping a rank 8 metal called Thaysten. This metal could absorb my blood as a catalyst to strengthen the sword. It"s already fused with my blood. The metal would absorb the energy from the surroundings automatically, thus erecting a barrier to block your attack.
"As soon as Master binds this for yourself. It will be helpful for you since it still has enough energy to block a Martial Saint attack once. Of course, suppose Master can supply the energy. In that case, you could use the barrier to block an attack without using much energy because half of them would be supplied from the weapons. Just drop a droplet of your blood and my blood would recognize you as its master and wouldn"t let anyone other than you wield it."
Alex finally realized what this type of weapon called. "This is… Spiritual Weapon?"
"Correct. Unlike Normal and Spiritual Weapons, we use a portion of blood to create a weapon with a bit of intelligence. Though I don"t need to explain it to you." Teodross then flipped the weapons, revealing two holes. "As I said earlier, these gifts are incomplete. I don"t know your element, so you can add the Elemental Gems yourself to enhance your element power while using them.
"However, this sword needs one more process to fuse the gems to the weapons." Teodross took out a few papers and handed it to him. "On the Sacred Continent, there is a realm that has a perfect thing to fuse the gem completely. I put a map and explanation about it in these papers so that you can follow the instructions easily. The realm is called Underworld."
"That sounds… eerie." Alex looked at him with a complicated expression after hearing the word "Underworld."
"Well, I have done with the reward. It"s time for you to absorb energy."
Alex needed to inform Anna about this and might need to explain to her what kind of weapon was this. He didn"t mind going to Sacred Continent since he had a business there, but the realm"s name was so dark.
As he said, the Spiritual Weapon could be considered as an intelligent weapon. However, it shouldn"t exist on this planet as it follows a different system. It would seem the person in front of him had altered it a little bit.
"Can I ask one last question?"
"What is it?"
"Why did you build the trial on this continent? After all, with your power, you could build it on the Sacred Continent." Alex furrowed his eyebrows because he noticed these things, and arrays were all rank 8.
"I am half-dragon half-phoenix from another world. The portal of that world is on this continent, so I have an obligation to set up on this place, hoping someone from there will come to this trial." He answered with half the truth. After all, how could he say because he was confident that Alex would go to that world and enter this place because of a certain Fire G.o.d?
Alex looked at him mysteriously before sitting down. The energy started coming inside of him.
At the same time, Teodross"s body began to vanish as he smiled. He said inwardly, "I have done my part, oh, old friend. I am thrilled to see you have the same personality. If there is a chance for us to reunite, I hope to be your sworn brother."
Teodross closed his eyes, remembering all the past scenes with Alex.
Back then, Alex was stranded to his world, injured after a big war. He took care of him, and after a month, he went back to full health before the Northern Continent invasion started.
Unfortunately, he couldn"t partic.i.p.ate in this war and to repay him for what he had done. Alex took him as his disciple at first before becoming his friend. Alex taught him many things from start to finish until he finally became strong enough to fight for his home planet. At that time, the six races united under his banner and the time when Alex disappeared.
He continuously trained to meet Alex again before he finally found him on Eulja. Those days were the best memory he could have, and Alex accepted him as a family member of Eulja.
He wanted to reminisce, but his body had already disappeared. He uttered the last words.
"Goodbye… my friend."
Alex opened his eyes, seeing nothing. However, there was an uncomfortable feeling in his heart.
He was wondering what that was.
