With only a few minutes to spare, Anna reached the school in a sprint. Lillian Grey followed her but was found panting from the rushing."And this is why you need to consume healthy food, Lilly."
Anna teased while Lillian had her hands on knees and her face facing downward while her sweat drops fell on the ground like a drizzle.
Anna let her friend catch a breath while she found another familiar ent.i.ty walking ahead of them.
Giselle.
Anna peeked at Lillian who"s unaware of the girl"s entrance. She remembered their last night conversation. When looked over at Giselle, Anna found the girl wore a face filled with depression. It felt as if she could feel her pain just from gazing at the girl. Anna"s spirit descended from sorrow.
Without informing Lillian, Anna stepped faster to reach Giselle. She wrapped her arm around Giselle"s shoulder, startling the girl a little. Giselle relaxed once she knew who it was.
"Good morning, Giselle."
Anna approached.
Giselle gave out a shy smile and greeted Anna back.
Anna took Giselle"s hands and locked within hers, as they both walked together.
It took a few seconds for Giselle to began searching nervously for another person.
"Looking for Lilly?" Anna asked as she noticed the girl"s incautious eyes.
Giselle gasped with her eyes projecting from getting caught.
"That fat girl is behind us."
Anna and Giselle rhythmically turned together and found Lillian still facing down.
"Faster, Lilly."
"Look who"s eagerly waiting for you," Anna yelled from afar.
Lillian Grey peeked over a little to find Giselle with Anna. And they both were being close together. Quickly, she pulled herself straight and wiped off her remaining sweat while walking towards them. Her pace was longer, and faster within a few steps, she joined with her friends.
"Hey," Lillian said while checking out the girl.
Her bruises dressed carefully, but the dark circles revealed her sleepless night.
"Are you okay now?" Lillian worriedly asks.
When Giselle responded with a nod, Lillian loosened her knuckles.
"Where"s Deigo?" Lillian asked while looking around for the guy.
"Oh, he texted me already. He"s in the cla.s.s waiting for us."
Anna replied.
Lillian appeared uneasy; the trio has always been together and somehow with all of this incident going around Lillian felt that Diego might be distancing himself from her.
"Lilly, let"s go," Anna signaled.
They all went together.
"Giselle, do you have any plans after school?" Lillian inquired.
Giselle shook her head in denial. Noticing it, Lillian Grey requested the girl to wait for her after school. Anna, who looked puzzled from the sudden announcement, turned to face her friend, Lillian.
She mouthed to know what"s going on, but Lillian shrugged.
With a judging look on her face, Anna dragged Giselle faster overriding Lillian and reached their cla.s.s.
Anna found Diego in his seat, looking at them bewilderedly.
Anna also noticed the apparent glances they are receiving from the rest of the cla.s.s.
"Alright then, let"s get to our seats."
Anna moved in first. When it was Giselle"s turn, she stood there nervously shivering. A sudden hit of worries glazed her skin, making her weak. Her mind taunted her to run away when a slight touch of a hand on her shoulders brought the girl back to reality.
She looked to find Lillian standing behind her with a curious face scanning the area.
"Wait here," Lillian ordered the girl and went straight to the seat next to hers. She looked at the guy who"s residing in the place and directed the guy to take over Giselle"s old seat.
The guy resisted at first, but he eventually gave in understanding the situation inside the cla.s.sroom. It didn"t bother him, and so, the negotiation went smooth.
"Giselle, come here."
"Sit next to me."
Lillian"s words loudly heard, which resulted in other students whispering to each other.
As soon as the buzzing noise hit Lillian Grey, she faced those who"re causing it and gave them a murderous glare.
At once, the sound halted.
No one dared to open their mouth. Giselle walked face down towards her new place.
"No, no-"
"You sit in here," Lillian pointed her seat while she placed her things on the new place.
"In this way, you don"t need to feel insecure. You will be safe with us."
Giselle sat behind Anna. To her front right, Diego is seen seated and, to her straight left, Lillian Grey stays. It appears that she"ll be not receiving any of those glares and gossips with this new arrangement.
Meanwhile, the bell rang, and the teacher entered to begin the morning cla.s.s.
...
The cla.s.ses went usual with Giselle starting to appear normal in her new seat. Whenever she would get distracted or bored from the lecture, Giselle catches a glance at Lillian already dozing off to sleep.
A soft smile shows off itself, and Giselle would get worked up getting caught from staring. She returns to listening to the lecture.
Often she would take a peek and find herself thanking Lillian Grey for helping her throughout this mess.
Her fears would immediately take over her mind when thinking about the scene if Lillian didn"t show up at the lavatory and Giselle had to handle everything alone. Giselle felt grateful and blessed to have them in her life. Moreover, deep down in her heart, she felt happy to have fallen in love with Lillian Grey.
...
"Giselle?" Janet, their science teacher, called.
"You are to visit the princ.i.p.al"s office during lunch."
"Bridgette, you too."
"Don"t fail to show up."
Mrs. Janet announced and walked out.
Bridgette didn"t get affected by the princ.i.p.al office invite and stayed put. Bridgette" face got puffed from the slaps she received, and so, the girl was in her frenzy mode and didn"t let anyone approach her. Plus, she avoided her friends entirely from the morning. Ivy wanted to talk, but considering Bridgette"s situation, Ivy didn"t bother Bridgette.
Meanwhile, Lillian and her friends looked dark from the message.
Lillian began worrying. However, Giselle appeared blank. She knew that it is to antic.i.p.ate. Moreover, Giselle found this as an opportunity to reveal the truth to the authorities.
She prepared to fight for herself and hoped for Bridgette to get punished severely for her actions.
