Get Back To You

Chapter 183

Lillian Grey seemed offended when this random girl that appeared out of nowhere mocked about Giselle. However, she kept a poised face and glanced at his new girl.

At first, the girl"s features looked similar to Giselle"s, but after a close inspection, Lillian could feel that they are nothing alike. The one standing in front of her is very tall, probably above 6 feet.

"Maybe she is a basketball player!" – Lillian a.s.sumed.

The girl is old but not older. She appears to be a college student; Her figure is lean and muscular, definitely, like the sporty type.

"I"m fixing my option on basketball, and that is final." – Lillian Grey kept guessing within.

The eyes looked similar to Giselle"s, but the lips are different. Giselle has bow-shaped lips while this one has thin lips that look almost like two lines. Giselle looks well, but this one has a sculpted face, with high cheekbones.

"Definitely, sporty girl," – Lillian settled.

She was wearing skinny blue jeans paired with a yellow sleeveless floral top. The girl looked like she dressed up for an occasion. Along with the black Gladiator stilettos, the girl seemed more majestic like a model.

Lillian Grey kept staring at her; and saw the figure walked out of the kitchen.

Realizing that she dazed out for a while, Lillian noticed the water bottle was overflowing. She closed the faucet and followed the girl quickly.

When she came out of the kitchen and entered the living room, Lillian Grey saw the tall girl talking to Giselle"s mother. It looked like they were having a serious conversation.

Melanie noticed Lillian Grey"s presence and immediately dropped the chat. Following her, the girl also turned to see Lillian Grey. She stopped talking; her eyes glared at Lillian Grey like a hawk.

Lillian felt like getting probed with those piercing gaze fixed upon her.

Understanding the animosity between the two girls, Melanie jumped in to ease the atmosphere.

"Lillian Grey, this is my eldest daughter, Gigi Jones, Giselle"s sister."

Lillian Grey could hear thundering- inside her brain, she smiled and greeted Giselle"s sister with a casual "hi" and "h.e.l.lo."

"I never knew Giselle had a sister, that too an older one," – Lillian"s mind voice echoed with a blast.

Melanie then turned to explain to her eldest daughter, Gigi about Lillian Grey visiting Giselle to study together. Gigi heard her mother talk in silence. Her expression never changed yet had a tint of hostility towards Lillian because her gaze often landed on Lillian Grey while listening.

Lillian did start to feel like she"s inside the courtroom standing while the lawyer talk for her. In this case, the lawyer is Melanie, and the judge is Gigi Jones.

When Melanie finished explaining, Gigi turned to face Lillian Grey.

"You said you are Giselle"s friend, right?" she asked.

Stiffening at once, Lillian Grey nodded.

"Since when did you two become friends?" Gigi inquired again.

Lillian Grey winced, tilting her head nonstop, she thought about it for a while before answering.

...

"How did you meet my sister?" Gigi continued asking.

"How did I-"Lillian Grey fizzed, feeling like she is getting examined.

However, this is the first time she heard Gigi"s voice soften when she said "my sister."

"This girl cares about Giselle!" – Lillian thought.

"I- We are cla.s.smates," Lillian responded, not thinking about it too much.

"Cla.s.smates!" Gigi repeated while she glanced at Melanie as if she is hinting something to her.

Melanie shook her head in disapproval.

"Gigi, stop, Lillian Grey is here to study with Giselle. Don"t waste her time," Melanie raised her voice.

At once, Gigi hissed but listened to her mother. She retracted her hawking vision away from Lillian Grey and looked somewhere else.

"Lillian, I"m sorry, you can go now, Giselle must be waiting for you," Melanie said.

"Ah- it is almost time for lunch-" she noticed the pa.s.sing time.

"It"s okay, We are only taking a break," Lillian jumped in to answer.

"But-"

"Fine, I won"t disturb you two, but you are having lunch with us," Melanie ordered.

Lillian Grey agreed and then, left the place.

Before leaving, she noticed Gigi still looking somewhere else. Lillian knew that the sister has thousands of questions in her mind to ask yet obeying her mother, the tall girl stood firm with her hands folded.

As soon as Lillian turned away, she heard whispers from behind.

//

"What is this new thing going on?" Gigi grumbled harshly.

"Giselle told me that Lillian is her friend," the mother replied.

"What sudden friend? She never behaved like she had a friend, who is this?" Gigi kept complaining noiselessly.

By now, Lillian Grey reached the stairs. She heard no murmurs anymore. Continuing to climb the stairs, she noticed the pictures on the wall once again.

Out of all those pictures, there were only two frames that had Giselle and Gigi together, and that too taken when they were toddlers. No photos of grown Gigi and Giselle together existed.

"She is her sister, yet she seems distant but also looks like she still cares about Giselle. What the h.e.l.l is up with her?" – Lillian Grey remarked as she stood outside Giselle"s room;

Entering the room, Lillian saw Giselle sitting on her study table, going through the notes.

"I did not know that you have a sister."

Lillian Grey announced as she came in and placed the bottle on the desk.

Giselle turned to see Lillian Grey, her eyes grew.

"You met Gigi?" Giselle asked in fear.

"Met? More like I was put on a court trial. Is there something wrong with your sister? She suspected me like a gangster!" Lillian poured out her thoughts like a stream.

"Why?"

"What happened?"

"Did my sister do something to you?"

Giselle worried as she approached Lillian asking questions to know if something happened.

"If not for your mother, that sister of yours would have murdered me with just her gaze alone," Lillian exhaled.

Giselle frowned, with her head hung low in dismay.

"Hey, why are you sulking?" Lillian asked.

"I"m sorry," Giselle confessed.

"My sister- she-"Giselle stammered to speak out.

"Does she not like if you bring friends to your home?" Lillian enquired.

"No- Nothing like that, she-" Giselle paused, hesitating to talk.

"What is it?" Lillian inched closer, urging Giselle to spill the beans.

Giselle looked up worriedly.
