Get Back To You

Chapter 89

Two weeks had pa.s.sed:

Lillian walked back to home after school. She felt weak as all of her energy has been drained by now. The route to home is pretty far and usually feels like a small walk. But not anymore, today she thought that she might faint but, one thing kept her going and it"s the weekend.

Yes, today"s Friday which means she doesn"t have school on Sat.u.r.day and Sunday. That alone gathered every single bit of energy left from the afternoon lunch she stole from Anna"s mother"s special lunchbox and made Lillian Grey advance to her home.

When Lillian arrived, the sun had already set, and the darkness took over the sky. She reached the front gate opened it and expected someone to welcome her with a warming smile. But, there was not a single soul present to greet.

Lillian hissed at the reality.

"They should be out here waiting for me, right?" Lillian mumbled as she entered the house via the front yard. Even those front steps that lead to the main door of the house seemed like a challenging task for Lillian as she held onto her soul and dragged her body inside the home.

Another crushing shock, Lillian felt.

n.o.body"s in there, once again to welcome her. By now, Lillian felt vengeance took over her body as she felt the sudden adrenaline rush to kill anyone who might pop up in front of her.

But, no; not a soul, once again.

Lillian didn"t have the energy to maintain her adrenaline mode as she gave up reverting to her energy less weak state.

However, as she traveled her way upstairs to her room while feeling the pain of choosing it on the first floor, she heard loud noises from her backyard.

"The what?"

"OH"

Lillian"s mind replayed today"s morning: when Anna and Diego came to Lillian"s house to join in for breakfast. And, how they all decided to have a BBQ party later in the evening, to celebrate the weekend plan.

"OH, the PLAN" Lillian"s reminded herself about what"s going around.

Lillian cursed them internally as she continued to drag her body to her room. As soon as, she reached, Lillian fell on the floor, threw her school bag over the side and shut the eyes to catch a breath.

After a few seconds, she still couldn"t reach the foreseen peace. She crawled her way to the nightstand and found a Twix chocolate bar inside the drawer. She removed the wrapper and shoved the entire chocolate bar into her mouth.

The moment her dried tongue came in contact with the chocolate, Lillian reached the Nirvana. She moaned loudly from the taste. It gave her the energy to move around.

Lillian slanted onto her bed and enjoyed the candy. Next hurdle is to get ready for their BBQ party. Lillian smelled herself only to puke from inhaling all the sweat. She sweated very hard today, specifically. With the energy given by the lord of Twix, Lillian barged into the bathroom for a quick shower.

She came out after cleaning herself. It felt refreshing after getting dressed up in her shorts and an oversized tank top. Lillian sat down on her bed eventually slipping to relax. She"s obliged to join in the backyard fun soon. But, before that, the girl let her worn out body to recharge for some time.

...

Lillian"s peaceful rest got interrupted when she got startled by the sudden noise that came from the backyard.

It seemed like people were shouting in joy and jumping around. Lillian forced herself out of her cozy bed and marched towards the backyard. When she opened the door that connects the kitchen to the yard, she found three people having the time of their lives. Diego is in his cargo pants and t-shirt, Anna looked simple in her regular jeans with beautiful peach color tops, and finally, Edwin appeared in his military shorts and a cream colored shirt. They all were having unlimited fun. Diego noticed Lillian and immediately called her to join.

"Come on in, Ms. Future Math Scholar" Diego teased.

Lillian rolled her eyes but only got stuck now that the remaining two joined in to tease her as well.

Lillian warned them that she would leave, but Anna dragged her into the backyard.

Edwin and Anna made the preparations for the BBQ while Diego was in charge of cutting the meat. He prepared patties, skewers, kebabs and seasoned vegetables. Lillian stepped into the backyard and hopped on to the hammock to take rest.

"So, how did it go?" Anna asked as she approached with an energy drink to offer Lillian.

"We"re still enemies. But, we can work it out if we want to." Lillian replied taking a sip of the energy drink.

"That"s good to hear, Scholar" Diego shouted from behind.

"Ah, I would love it if you can become a Math scholar, champ," Edwin added his comment.

"Yeah, yeah, only two weeks of after-school Math cla.s.s by Mr. Seth is going to make me the scholar. You people can keep dreaming about me becoming a scholar." Lillian remarked.

"Come on, Lilly. It"s not that bath with Seth, right. He"s pa.s.sionate." Diego said.

Hearing it made Lillian"s blood boil in rage.

"Pa.s.sionate my as-," Lillian noticed her father"s presence so, she stopped from cursing her teacher.

"His pa.s.sion can be admired if it is with the whole cla.s.s and not for a single soul. Imagine, him pouring his pa.s.sion onto me, myself alone!" Lillian felt the chills from recalling those after-school cla.s.ses.
