Ivy dashed around the floors looking for a blond headed girl. She checked the main building, went to the auditorium, basketball stadium, and even halted at her cla.s.s to check if her friend Bridgette had returned.

No.

It began bothering Ivy mentally as she worried over the situation at hand.

Regardless, Ivy searched. She went around the entire school and now, decided to look out at places she hasn"t visited yet.

It is hard for Ivy as it nears the end of the lunch hour with only ten more minutes left on the clock. Students were rushing back to their cla.s.ses. Overall, it was jam-packed.

Ivy struggled her way through to find her friend.

Meanwhile, Josh Ryder is the one who summoned Carmel. An unusual and surprising combo to everyone present inside the cafeteria. Carmel, a gossip girl member, and the school basketball team captain, Josh Ryder are meeting with each other.

A few gasps and murmurs heard out loud. But, they ignored.

"What"s going on?"

"We haven"t seen Mike around, and I heard it from one of Mike"s friends that Giselle broke out yesterday." Josh worriedly asked the details from yesterday"s event.

"Bridgette and Ivy, they are pushing it too far. I"m worried that it might break-out soon."

Carmel"s response satisfied Josh"s answer. They both discussed yesterday"s event, and Josh mentioned to Carmel about leaving Giselle alone.

"I can"t do it myself. You know Ivy and how much she babysits Bridgette. They both are hard to convince."

Josh frowned from her reply.

Bridgette strolled across the buildings and reached the top floor to the cafeteria. Before entering, she notices Carmel and searches for her other friends, preferably Ivy.

Ever since Mike had left after upsetting her, Bridgette looked dejected. At that point, everyone seemed to annoy her. Ivy continually trying to reach her to keep an eye on her friend, Carmel who doesn"t give a s.h.i.t until it involves her, lastly Sara, She"s the kind to concede with the majority.

Regardless, it afflicts Bridgette when Mike spoke to her. The guy she helped to confess his feelings, the guy she helped to have the girl he had admired secretly and the guy who listened to her words diligently. The same guy seems to oppose all of her efforts in the name of humanity.

Bridgette seethed.

"That Mike, I hope he rots in h.e.l.l." – she cussed.

Bridgette looked unfriendly and didn"t necessarily desire to be with anyone right now.

As she kept walking around the school in those last few minutes left of the lunch hour, Bridgette decides to go to the cafeteria. She reaches the floor and notices one of her gang mate, Carmel.

Bridgette sighs heavily.

Upon seeing Carmel, she noticed another familiar figure talking to her. When slowing moved closer, she could see it was a guy and that it was Josh Ryder. Bridgette surprised from the scene, as she looked at them smiling and talking together without any unease.

Instead of approaching them and conversing, Bridgette hid quietly to hear them chatting. She wanted to know what they were talking about and settled herself in a position to overhear.

"I"m sorry for what happened that day. You know her and how she is."

Carmel expressed about the past cafeteria incident.

"I know that it wasn"t Giselle"s doing and that she got threatened by Bridgette."

"What is wrong with that girl?"

"Why can"t she leave people alone?"

"Man, I"m getting p.i.s.sed off just from looking at her face. She thinks she can do whatever she wants and parade around here."

Josh Ryder said it in a tone of exhibiting insults. Carmel stayed calm and listened to him instead of encouraging his remarks.

Josh sensed the stillness from Carmel and felt heavy.

"I"m sorry, it"s your friend-"

Josh got interrupted by Carmel and her words.

"I know that she ain"t perfect, but I can"t do anything against that girl"s temperament. I hope that she"ll change soon."

Carmel"s words held both regret and concern for her friend. Josh couldn"t help and so, leaned forward to give the girl an embracing hug.

"It"s alright; I hope she does too. Don"t worry all by yourself. And feel free to talk to me whenever you want. I"ll be there for you to lean on."

Josh"s words shocked Carmel and made her blush. She became shy and quickly returned the embrace and separated. She couldn"t face him into his eyes anymore.

Carmel panted softly; her heart beat rising every second from the comfort and the welcoming embrace of Josh Ryder.

"It"s getting late. We should go," Carmel announced trying to escape Ryder"s daunting gaze.

"Yes, we should. See you later, Carmel," Josh sounded to which Carmel glared at him. It was so loud that they both received glimpses from others.

"I SAID, I WILL SEE YOU L"

Carmel ran up to him and covered his lips to stop him from exploding.

"Alright, Alright! Go now!" Bridgette mumbled.

Josh chuckled as they both parted ways to their cla.s.ses.

***

Bridgette fumed from secretly listening to the conversation between Carmel and Josh Ryder. She gets furious, seeing her friend being familiar with her crush. Bridgette felt betrayed and belittled.

Since when did Carmel become buddies with Josh Ryder? Loads of questions popped up inside her brain as it wrecked her internally. Bridgette, for years, had been secretly adoring on Josh Ryder. It reached up to a point where she felt they shared "the connection" and a.s.sumed that they both realized it. She thought Josh Ryder would notice her, the girl who used to admire him.

But, no, the reality crushed the blond girl"s dreams. Here in the front of her, she saw Josh Ryder being notably caring and flirty with Carmel, who happens to acknowledge it as well.

It burned her feelings.

"So, this is how Mike felt, I guess." – Bridgette thought.

Without her knowledge, she felt tears welling up in her eyes. However, she restrained it. Something inside of her refused to reveal her genuine emotions, refused to cry. It was as if this suddenly appeared barrier is shielding her from expressing her true self. Bridgette wondered about what it is that made her "not sad," and the answer was "Rage."

Bridgette drowned into the rage she had built up with others. Rage against Giselle, rage against Mike, rage against Ivy"s constant calls and resentful against Josh and Carmel.

"Are they dating?"

"Or, is Carmel betraying me?"

"Doesn"t she already know that I"m interested in Josh?"

"She had guts to approach him even after knowing that her friend had feelings for that guy."

Bridgette followed Mike"s path. She wasn"t herself anymore, Jealousy and anger reached her head and clouded it.

"This is all her fault."

"The minute she entered in my life, it all got ruined."

"That b.i.t.c.h."

"Giselle"

"You"re so dead to me."

Bridgette blamed all of her wrong-doings and mishaps over Giselle. She did it to let her emotions flow like a river. Despite Carmel"s betrayal, Bridgette knew Carmel for years as they were friends. Hence, Bridgette directed all of the accuses upon Giselle, which resulted in her getting even dangerous. She wanted to end it for Giselle.

Bridgette, in her unstable mind, decides to do something despicable.

With raging fire burning inside her, she walked away from the cafeteria and went straight to the school"s announcement room.

As soon as she reached it, she found no one inside. She let herself in and locked the door. She walked over to the desk with all the setup and saw the microphone.

Bridgette wasn"t an expert, but she knew how to handle a microphone and the basics of doing a live broadcast. She tested her voice before switching it ON.

With a crestfallen and a wave of crazy anger upon Giselle, Bridgette succ.u.mbed herself into the mood and started the broadcast.
