Giselle alarmed from the sudden entrance. She looked up to see Anna, Lillian"s friend holding a bag with clothes in it.***
Lillian had texted Anna as soon as she confirmed that it was Giselle inside the cubicle. Also, she had given out directions to bring spare clothes from her locker.
Anna spotted Lillian"s locker and opened it to find only a red sweatshirt.
a.s.suming that something might have happened, Anna went to her locker and found a spare jean that she left days ago. She grabbed it and placed them both in a bag. She reached the location specified by Lillian.
Anna stood outside the lavatory, hearing the silent voices coming from the inside. She let herself in and found Lillian Grey along with Giselle.
***
"Thanks, Anna."
Lillian took the bag and gave it Giselle.
"Here, change into this. You can"t wear this dress anymore."
Giselle looked at her dress, condoling in it for being so unfortunate.
"She deemed that she too had become unfortunate."
Without contending, Giselle agreed and went inside a cubicle to change her dress. Anna poked Lillian with an inquiring look on her face.
"What the h.e.l.l is going on, Lillian?" Anna charged.
"Not now, Anna."
Lillian groaned.
So far, Anna came in and only saw Lillian"s calming demeanor along with Giselle"s. However, the face she"s staring at right now is entirely different from before.
Lillian looked utterly furious with anger seething out. Her brows knitted together intensely revealing a menacing intent, Anna feared. She swayed Lillian"s arm to shake her off from expelling such wild aura.
"Stop it, Lilly."
Anna"s touch breached her overflowing frenzy.
"Enough keep it together now."
"I don"t know what happened, but you need to chill out."
Anna tensed while watching her friend snap back to herself. She grasped her hands with Lillian"s, tightening her grip to let her calm down.
Anna used to do that often to bring Lillian back to the normal state.
With Anna"s help, Lillian calmed down herself, and Giselle came out.
She got dressed in Lillian"s red sweatshirt, and Anna"s black jeans, the jean fitted her as they both held a similar figure. And the top was little loose showing the apparent size difference between Giselle and Lillian.
Lillian Grey glanced, at her outfit and approved. She went to grab all of Giselle"s things together. Giselle and Anna watched her quietly working. Her stance, still rigid and an expressionless face that spoke of no emotions. Anna noticed the effects Lillian expressed via her bare face, her physic, and even the small details of how she moved.
Anna then glanced at the girl who stood next to her. Taking a look from top to bottom, Anna noticed her weak body still shivering.
"What happened to her?" – Anna bothered herself over and over again.
She believed in her friend and thus, patiently waiting for Lillian to share it later. Regardless, Anna"s mind pondered over the scene she noticed: the bruises on Giselle"s body, her messed up dress and Lillian"s rage.
Instead of frowning upon the thought, Anna made herself useful to her friends right now.
...
"Are we taking her to the infirmary?"
Anna inquired. Lillian responded with an "Obvious" reaction. That was her second thing, apart from knowing the truth. Soon, all three head out together. Anna skipped her cla.s.s and joined the two, and they all went to the school infirmary.
Giselle was treated in there and then taken to the cafeteria to eat. Lillian noted the girl looked as if she"s about to collapse at any moment. She bought her a simple meal and fed her.
...
Once everything got settled in, Lillian asked.
"Can you return to the cla.s.sroom?"
"Or do you want to go home?"
She gave her the option to choose. Giselle thought for a minute and then decided to return to her cla.s.s.
"Good, then you"re sitting next to me. I"m not taking "no" for an answer," Lillian Grey ordered.
"Plus, from now on, you stay with me. I"ll walk with you back to home, and you hang out with us."
"Anna and Diego are my friends, which mean they"ll be there for you as they are with me. So, you can feel safe."
...
"From now on, I don"t want you to be alone. You"re staying with me."
Lillian"s words shocked the girl in awe as she looked over at Anna, who also held the same expression. They both glanced at each other.
Anna sighed.
"She"s right. You can"t be left alone from now on. And I don"t think your so-called friends like Bridgette, Ivy and so, will accept you after this. It seems like they planned for this to happen."
Giselle frowned.
"Don"t worry. We"re not doing it for free. You have to become our friend, got it?"
Anna gently patted Giselle and smiled.
"Lilly"s the crazy one in our group, myself and Diego are normal human beings. So, you don"t have to feel out of place."
While Anna tried to ease out the tensed mood, she saw Giselle getting emotional from their words. It broke Anna"s heart to see the girl in such a vulnerable state, as she moved in closer to give the girl a friendly warm hug,
"Don"t cry. We"re there with you. You have to be strong right now."
Anna caressed and comforted the girl.
"Thank you." – was the only words that kept reciting from Giselle.
