Get Back To You

Chapter 69

Before Lillian appeared in front of Shane & Giselle:

After Jayce, Giselle decided to leave as well. She packed and waited for Shane to return from his phone call.

"Are you leaving already?" Shane exclaimed.

Giselle saw the bewildered look on his face. It looked like Shane had something else on his mind to discuss. He wanted to ask Giselle about Jayce.

"I wanted to know how you feel after meeting Jayce in person," Shane asked.

"Ah, he"s good. But very dedicated to his work, I guess. Also, he doesn"t give off any bad vibe to me. Of course, I hated his little cheesy experiments. Apart from that, he is indeed a serious writer. I"m both grateful and honored to work with him." Giselle responded.

"Wait, you knew about his experiments?" Shane gasped.

Giselle nodded and shared that during her session with Wallace, he gave her tips and advice.

"Wallace! So it is his advice. That guy only shares such things with the person he believes to be good. We can say that you have earned Wallace"s trust."

"Congratulations. You have found yourself a guardian angel at KeyLine publication." Shane greeted.

"I feel honored," Giselle replied with a smirk.

"Jayce!" Shane exhaled.

"Yeah, that guy often plays out with the ladies. I got scared if he might have offended you in any way or not. I tell him to stop doing those things with our employees, but he doesn"t listen. Well, in the end, he is not a player." Shane commented.

Giselle agreed.

Shane smiled and acknowledged.

It was time to leave, Giselle collected her stuff, and Shane walked her to the entrance.

"Thank you, Shane. It was more convenient for you at the meeting. I don"t know if it would have ended smoothly like this without your presence." Giselle thanked him for helping out.

"I feel so too. I forgot that it was Jayce that you"re meeting and was planning to let you meet him alone. Not offending him or anything. Although, you will have to thank Jayce for forcing me to be present for this meeting."

"Sure, I will make sure to thank him." Giselle signed.

"Good. I wish you could have stayed a little more." Shane worried.

"No, this way it will be easy for me to reach the school soon if I start now. Also, I don"t want to overstay causing you any disturbance." Giselle said.

Shane refused it by saying that it was never a disturbance. He only wanted to help people, so they get along and work together without any issues.

When Giselle was about to leave, a sudden presence scared both to the peak. A voice came from inside the living room. Shane and Giselle looked at each other in shock, thinking if it was an intruder. Still as shocked to their cores, both of them turned around to see who it was?
