Chapter 2641: Cla.s.s B
Ling Hao looked at Shao Xiao, his team leader.
Shao Xiao shrugged and refused to get involved.
Ling Hao whispered something in Shao Xiao’s ear, but Shao Xiao cleared his throat and said, “It’s up to you. I’m not saying anything.”
By then, Feng Wu was by Ling Hao’s side.
Ling Hao immediately stood up and pulled the chair out for her.
Feng Wu casually sat down.
Ye Han stiffened, and her face turned livid.
She had warned Ling Hao, but he still dared to act that way!
She turned around and glared at Ling Hao with eyes burning with fury.
Ling Hao shrugged in resignation.
Ye Han gave Feng Wu one last mean look before she smacked her book on the desk and stormed off.
Feng Wu was already the center of attention. When that happened, all eyes were on her.
Everybody discussed it in hushed voices.
“Why did Ye Han run off?”
“I heard them just then. Ye Han doesn’t like Feng Wu, but Ling Hao invited Feng Wu over, which upset Ye Han.”
“Ye Han is one of Ling Hao’s team members. I thought she was quite popular.”
...
“It seems that Feng Wu is going to be their new favorite.”
“She’s a piece of work. She’s only just gotten here, and she’s already driven Ye Han away. That’s just mean.”
“You don’t say! I heard Ye Han and Ling Hao are a couple, but Feng Wu just inserted herself in between them…”
Ling Hao was already angry, and he couldn’t hold back anymore. He shouted, “You can’t make things up! Since when am I a couple with Ye Han? If I have to like a girl, it would be Shan Jingfei! It definitely wouldn’t be Ye Han!”
The students nearby all cleared their throats.
Shan Jingfei didn’t know what to say.
She was secretly delighted, but she had to put on an annoyed look.
Xin Zhixuan gave her a nudge.
“What?” Shan Jingfei feigned an upset tone.
Xin Zhixuan smiled. She knew how to make trouble for Feng Wu, the person she hated the most!
After cla.s.s.
Ling Hao showed Feng Wu around, introducing her to all the facilities and cultivation rooms.
The points worked in all five cla.s.ses.
As one moved up the cla.s.ses, they could earn more points.
For instance, one could only earn one or two hundred points in an event in Cla.s.s E. According to Ling Hao, one could earn up to 10,000 points in an event in Cla.s.s B.
“We earn more points, but we spend more as well,” Ling Hao told Feng Wu when they arrived at the cultivation rooms. “These rooms will cost you 500 points an hour. If we want to improve our cultivation level, we need to do everything we can to earn points.
“By the way,” Ling Hao asked solemnly, “how many points do you have?”
Feng Wu gave it some thought. “A thousand, I think?”
Ling Hao said, “Well… You’re broke, then. Here’s the plan. You’ll be joining my team for future tasks.”
Feng Wu asked, “I thought you already have five members.”
Ling Hao said, “There are three new students now, and you can’t have a three-member team. I think Mr. Yang would like you to join an existing team so that we can help you out. Six-member teams are allowed under special circ.u.mstances. What do you think? Are you in?”
Feng Wu didn’t say yes right away, so Ling Hao said, “Don’t worry. Ye Han is just being girly. She’s a nice person. You’ll see. Maybe you’ll even be friends in the future.”
