Chapter 770: Are You Saying I’m The Pig You’ve Seen Running Before?
When Tang Zui came home, he saw the busy figure in the kitchen as he walked through the entrance. The smell of cooking that could make one salivate filled the entire house, and his chest immediately turned warmer upon smelling that.
Gu Mian heard the sound, turned around and looked over at him. She saw that it was Tang Zui who had come home, and she gave him a shy smile. “You’re back. Go and wash your hands and change your clothes. Dinner will be ready soon.”
“Alright.” Tang Zui changed his shoes and walked inside, and his gaze that was upon her was extraordinarily gentle.
Gu Mian felt embarra.s.sed under his gaze as she turned around and continued to cook.
Tang Zui stared at her back for a few seconds before he came back to his senses. He went to the bathroom in the living room to wash his hands.
He noticed that the lid of the was.h.i.+ng machine was opened, and there were washed clothes inside. He glanced at Gu Mian after he washed his hands, and with a sudden impulse, he planned to hang the clothes up to dry.
Tang Zui squatted down to look inside of the was.h.i.+ng machine. There were his clothes and also Gu Mian’s clothes in the was.h.i.+ng machine. Both of their clothes were intertwined together, and just by looking at it, he actually felt warmth bubbling up in his heart.
Tang Zui had never done any house ch.o.r.es before, but he knew that clothes were hung on clothes hangers to be dried. But did not see any hangers after searching the entire bathroom, so he had no choice but to seek help from Gu Mian.
“Gu Mian, where are the clothes hangers?” Tang Zui asked.
“The hangers are on the drying rails outside. What are you doing?” Gu Mian turned around to look at him.
“I want to dry the clothes.”
“There’s no need for you to do that, I’m going to dry it after eating.”
“It’s fine, just let me do it since I’m not busy.” Tang Zui went back and found a clean laundry basket and put all the washed clothes from the was.h.i.+ng machine into the laundry basket. He then carried the laundry basket out.
Gu Mian heard the sound of activity behind her and she could not help herself but to turn around and look over. She had a somewhat odd feeling inside when she saw Tang Zui carrying the basket of clothes to the balcony.
Tang Zui stood on the balcony and studied it for a while before he successfully hung all the clothes to dry. He was truly impressed by his own intelligence and wisdom.
He curved the corners of his lips unconsciously as he smelled the faint scent of detergent on the balcony.
Now he finally knew what home was.
Home was where someone would make three meals a day, and someone would accompany him while eating.
Home was where his and her clothes would dry on the balcony with a pleasant fragrance.
Home was where they were together.
After Gu Mian placed the dishes on the dining table, she walked over to take a look as she was worried about him. She saw that Tang Zui actually did a good job drying the clothes. “I didn’t think that you knew how to do house ch.o.r.es.”
“About that… Haven’t you eaten pork without seeing a pig run? I know how to do these little things just by observing.” Tang Zui looked at the young woman before him as his heart turned extremely soft.
But Gu Mian’s smile was frozen on her face, and then slowly faded away, “Are you saying I’m the pig you’ve seen running before?”
Tang Zui was stunned for a moment before he immediately started laughing.
“You’re the pig!” Gu Mian pulled a face at him before she turned around and ran inside.
Tang Zui followed behind, in a good mood. He looked at the dishes on the dining table and said, “I’m actually really hungry now.”
“You can eat first. I’ll serve the rice.” Gu Mian took two bowls and filled them with rice before placing the bowls on the table.
Tang Zui picked up the chopsticks and bowl and started to eat. Gu Mian also sat down opposite him and ate a few grains of rice. She stared at him somewhat nervously.
“Tang Zui… are you free this weekend?” Gu Mian stared at him and asked.
“Yes? What’s the matter?” Tang Zui looked at her with a questioning gaze.
“It’s nothing serious… It’s just my mom, she keeps wis.h.i.+ng that you can go to my house for a meal.” Gu Mian was somewhat nervous as she poked the bowl of rice with her chopsticks.
Tang Zui heard what she said and he paused in the middle of eating…
