Chapter 1451: Yan Yan Is a Girl
Mo Liuxi thought for a while before answering, “I’ll find a wife who will be good to you.”
“What if she isn’t respectful to her elders?” Mo Jin was satisfied with his reply, but she couldn’t help but feel a little jealous.
“She will be. The woman I’m marrying won’t be anything less than perfect,” said Mo Liuxi as he carried his stuff to the car.
He had planned to drive over to Jiangxi.
It was troublesome to take a flight together with Yan Su, especially since they had a lot of luggage.
He went on his way.
He drove over to pick up Yan Su. She was wearing a white knitted sweater and jeans, with a face mask covering her face, as she stood below her apartment waiting for him. Only her eyes could be seen and she had two large suitcases next to her. She was tall and had a slender figure—nothing too s.e.xy, but she looked innocent like a college freshman.
Mo Liuxi parked his car and opened the trunk. There wasn’t much s.p.a.ce left for her luggage so they had to put them in the back seat.
“You didn’t have to bring so many gifts for my parents. We have everything at home.” Yan Su didn’t expect him to bring so much along with him, and she was a little taken aback, “I bought plenty of stuff for them when I went overseas a couple of days ago.”
“It’s not nice to turn up empty-handed. I bought tonics and health supplements, as well as toys for Yan Yan,” Mo Liuxi smiled. “I bought a lot of toy cars—even some Transformers ones. Do you think she will like them?”
Yan Su kept quiet.
She tried hard not to laugh as she reminded him, “Just in case you forgot, Yan Yan is a girl.”
“I know, but don’t girls like Transformers?” Mo Liuxi said, confused. “I really liked them but I couldn’t afford to buy them when I was younger.”
Yan Su was speechless.
She had to empathize with him—it was his unfulfilled childhood dream after all.
When she got into the car, she removed her mask and Mo Liuxi immediately leaned in for a kiss. After a quick peck, he looked at her and asked, “Are you sad because of the compet.i.tion?”
“Nope, I’m happy that I was in the top ten. I didn’t have high hopes anyway,” Yan Su laughed. “I feel relieved, to be honest. It was so stressful and exhausting being in that compet.i.tion. I just want to take a break for a couple of days and prepare for my tour. Oh right! For Lunar New Year, should I pay a visit to your parents as well?”
She felt a little nervous asking him. She wondered how shocked they would be if they found out that she was Mo Liuxi’s girlfriend.
“You’re not embarra.s.sed now?” Mo Liuxi grinned.
“It’s only a matter of time… Of course, you have to win my parents’ approval first,” Yan Su looked at him with amus.e.m.e.nt. “If they don’t acknowledge you, there’s nothing I can do—I listen to whatever they say.”
“Susu, that’s not what we agreed on,” Mo Liuxi’s said with a frozen look on his face.
“I’ve already hurt my parents’ feelings twice. How could you ask me to hurt them again?” Yan Su asked him back.
Mo Liuxi was speechless. After gathering his thoughts, he replied, “My parents are going to Europe to spend the Lunar New Year. I’ll bring you to see them when they are available again.”
“Is this the first time you’re spending the holidays away from your mother? Did they say anything?” Yan Su felt a little apologetic. All parents would want to spend the festive occasion with their children.
“Yeah, I told them that I would bring my wife home next year to accompany them,” Mo Liuxi grinned. “What do you say?”
Yan Su glared at him with embarra.s.sment before giving him the cold shoulder.
