Chapter 149: Emoji Profile Picture
Yun Xiangxiang had never expected happiness could be this simple.
Song Mian had already procured two bicycles from the next day onward. Their alone time bicycling was their morning practice.
They chased after each other within the twinkle of dawn. Their laughter was captured by the breeze.
Yun Xiangxiang brought him to a lot of places that she used to love and shared the stories of her growing up.
She kept her guard up against familiar faces every time. There was an inexplicable thrill of being furtive.
Yun Xiangxiang would go back home after her morning practice was over. They considered the fact that Yun Xiangxiang currently was a public figure when they thought about visiting their relatives.
Yun Zhibin and Su Xiuling decided that they would only do that with Yun Lin and Yun Ting along. They made it easier for Yun Xiangxiang.
She stuck with Song Mian almost every day. However, most of that time was spent finis.h.i.+ng her homework at Song Mian’s place.
Yun Xiangxiang did her homework with blistering speed. Perhaps it was because she had a cheat machine called Song Mian. She finally searched for her next semester’s content for some pre-revision. She would ask Song Mian about anything she couldn’t understand.
The sunlight sprinkled in bits and pieces. Song Mian’s melodious voice explained everything to her softly beside her ear. His whole figure was enveloped in a halo. He looked holy and fantastical.
“The students will get crazy if you become a teacher.” Countless students would do everything to be in such a good looking teacher’s cla.s.s.
“Does my girlfriend wish to see how I look on the lectern?” Song Mian stopped and asked as if he had something in his mind.
“Only saying it on a whim,” Yun Xiangxiang smiled at him. “I understood everything you said just now. Let me do some hands-on practice.”
Song Mian stood up silently and went to the kitchen.
Yun Xiangxiang concentrated and did it according to Song Mian’s instructions earlier. She familiarised herself with it for a few more times, and a sweet aroma wafted from the kitchen.
“The aroma of a cake.” She started drooling.
Song Mian did a lot of snacks for her. None of them were done twice. However, all of them were traditional Chinese snacks. This was the first time he did a Western one.
Yun Xiangxiang couldn’t help but look forward to it. However, she suppressed herself and did not step forward. Yun Xiangxiang saw a color pencil at the side after she was done packing her things. It was left by Yun Lin when he did some craft here the last time.
She took a piece of white paper and the color pencil. She mulled over something and started working on drawing.
Yun Xiangxiang had also just finished drawing when Song Mian took the cake out of the oven. She showed it to him as a treasure. “Is it cute?”
Yun Xiangxiang painted chibi emojis of clouds. They were a cloud that had a pair of big, beautiful eyes and was wearing a little crown
There were some who were snoring with a big bubble on their nose; there were some who wrapped their arms over their chest and rolled their eyes in tsundere fas.h.i.+on; there were some who drooled and had hearts in their eyes…
“I want to change my profile pic to this.” Yun Xiangxiang snapped the cloud who was snoring and had a bubble blowing from his nose.
She had just changed her profile picture when her fans noticed it. She sorted the emojis and generously posted it.
[Actress Yun Xiangxiang V: I drew an emoji package. No one is allowed to have the same profile pic as me {?}]
[{?} G.o.ddess, your watermark is too obvious. I can’t have the same one even if I want to]
[The G.o.ddess really likes this profile picture. She didn’t even post it]
[It’s so cute. It’s so cute. I like it very much. Saving it to quench my daily thirst]
…
Yun Xiangxiang indeed didn’t post the emoji of her profile picture because she wanted to keep it to herself. However, those who wanted it still could screenshot her profile picture. However, it wouldn’t be that secure.
Yun Xiangxiang saw Song Mian changing his profile picture after she finished posting her Weibo status. It was the cloud with sungla.s.ses who supported his cheek with his hand in an attempt to look wise.
“En, this suits you.” The gender wouldn’t be discernible after the sungla.s.ses were put on.
“Try this,” Song Mian was elated too. He took the cake and put it in front of Yun Xiangxiang.
Yun Xiangxiang’s handphone was immediately thrown to the sofa. She took a little fork and tasted the cake bite by little bite.
The sweetness was moderate. It was soft and fluffy. It was a fusion between rose petal honey and sponge cake. The ultimate enjoyment of taste buds.
“Delicious! It’s the best honey cake I have ever tasted!” Yun Xiangxiang praised it while wolfing it down.
“I made a lot for you. You can take it home and save some for tomorrow,” said Song Mian. “I will be leaving tonight.”
The sweet cake suddenly lost a lot of its flavor. Yun Xiangxiang took the last bite sullenly.
“Don’t want me to go?” Yun Xiangxiang’s reaction made Song Mian happy and concerned at the same time.
“Hmph, I’ll be flying with Xiangling and my girlfriends tomorrow night,” Yun Xiangxiang chomped down on her fork. “We will only be separated for a day.
“Precisely. Just one day. I’ll go home to make some arrangements so that I can serve your girlfriends well,” Song Mian nodded smilingly.
“Don’t scare them. Be normal, you.” Yun Xiangxiang didn’t want Song Mian to make it too luxurious.
“I guarantee that it will be a great product with a great price, and down to earth too,” Song Mian promised.
“Okay, I’ll give you my trust.”
Yun Xiangxiang still needed to leave for home once it was time, no matter how reluctant she was. However, Yun Xiangxiang didn’t feel so difficult when she left. She thought that this separation was for a future reunion.
It was a pity her good mood only lasted until the next morning. Her parents had finished her honey cake after she came back from her morning jog.
“Where did you get this cake? It’s not bad.” Yun Zhibin who usually didn’t like sweet stuff stuffed the last piece into his mouth.
“It’s made by a friend. I cannot buy it anywhere,” Yun Xiangxiang spoke dejectedly.
“What’s wrong?” Su Xiuling who noticed that her daughter became down all of a sudden and took some porridge out. “Come have some breakfast.”
“I need to go to school again. I don’t really feel like it,” said Yun Xiangxiang immediately.
Yun Lin chokes inexplicably. This made Yun Zhibin angry, “Do you really want to go to the airport now?”
Even though Yun Lin would finish his break after the Lantern Festival, Yun Zhibin didn’t have time to send him off then. Su Xiuling also had a little one to take care of.
He promptly let him go back to Beijing with Yun Xiangxiang. He looked at his daughter’s face of reluctance, then his son’s face of antic.i.p.ation.
Yun Zhibin felt that daughters were truly the ones who would look after his feelings.
Yun Lin wanted to cry. It was obvious that his sister was the one who was lying. She couldn’t even wait to be free. However, he was actually the one to get scolded.
Yun Zhibin felt that Yun Lin was an unruly kid no matter how he looked because of this episode. He felt that his daughter was the one who was obedient. He didn’t want her to go.
Yun Xiangxiang bought the tickets for the flight at eleven o’clock. This was to prevent any ambus.h.i.+ng reporters or fans. A lot of fans wanted to have a chance encounter with her since she admitted that she was that big dumpling last time.
“Both of us were tortured by you on the first day of the New Year. Now you pull both of us with you on an eleven o’clock flight on the fourth day of New Year. Who did we anger to deserve this?” Song Meng looked like she was dying.
“You angered me,” Yun Xiangxiang said to Song Meng smilingly after they boarded the plane.
“The night time flight is quite nice. We can see the night view,” Li Xiangling thought that it was quite a different feeling.
Song Meng didn’t want to talk when she looked at both of them and Yun Lin. She pulled her eye cover down and went to sleep. She closed her eyes for a few minutes before taking it off and said to Yun Xiangxiang, “Xiangxiang, that crowdfunding for your birthday has exceeded two million.”
Two million people took part in the crowdfunding after just five days. This was the first time Song Meng held so much money in her hands. She felt floaty like she was in a dream. She had to check it a few times a day. She was worried that this huge amount of money would suddenly disappear into thin air.
She couldn’t pay it back even if she sold her kidneys if that happened.
