Chapter 362: My Fiancee, Yun Xiangxiang
Attracting an audience this way was a lot better than creating scandals for the production team.
To Xie Mianliang, attraction by scandal was nothing but hype, while attraction through the gem required skill.
MonRoe was most likely not going to only provide the Star of Peace, but other jewels as well.
Jewels were one of their film’s themes, and actual jewels could appear for a longer time on camera instead of just showing a flash.
If it were fake, they wouldn’t give the ‘jewels’ too many scenes just in case the audience would be suspicious, but filming it this way would create a film without substance.
Only by creating that earth-shattering effect through filming the jewels could the audience understand why the jewel made so many fall for it.
There were already countless heist films, but Xie Manliang wanted to recreate a cla.s.sic by interpreting it through a different lens.
But he couldn’t do it through the jewels if he didn’t have a bona fide one, so Yun Xiangxiang did give him a big surprise.
Yun Xiangxiang gave Xie Mianliang a surprise, while Song Mian also gave her one when she returned home.
“This safety box is made of special materials. It would lock itself permanently if the pa.s.sword is mistyped in three times. If anyone tries to break it by force, it will release harmful radiation once the protective layer is broken, killing someone in an hour.”
This was a pet.i.te safety box that was twenty centimeters long and ten centimeters tall. It looked like a normal safety box.
The pa.s.sword wasn’t the normal three on a side, but it was nine numbers on one side, though only six numbers could be set, so even if someone knew the numbers, it was no use.
The probability of getting the correct combination on both sides at the same time, unless they knew the pa.s.scode.
“Is this kind of safety box used to keep the latest drug you’re researching?” Yun Xiangxiang asked curiously.
The thief wouldn’t be able to take away the jewel even if they took away the whole box unless they were on a suicide mission.
She was going to get a safety box from MonRoe, since they wouldn’t announce this publicly before the film was done.
Xie Mianliang would prevent it from coming into contact with too many people. He would be extra careful with it during filming, so she thought there wasn’t any major problem.
“If I know where the golden diamond is at, someone else will know the location of the Star of Peace,” Song Mian explained. “If someone has their eyes on the Star of Peace and finds out it isn’t in MonRoe, they will find out where it went.
If they found out that Yun Xiangxiang had it, it would be easily stolen, as Yun Xiangxiang didn’t have her guard up.
These thieves might not be as powerful as Song Mian, but they were hard to defend against.
Song Mian might not be by her side when she was filming.
“Thank you for planning everything for me, babe.” Yun Xiangxiang accepted his offer.
“How are you going to repay me, dear?” Song Mian leaned closer to Yun Xiangxiang.
Yun Xiangxiang kissed his cheek. “Don’t push your luck, since I’m not going to be the one who will be in trouble.”
“Oh really?” Song Mian gazed at her provocation, and he princess-hugged her.
Yun Xiangxiang regretted what she did. She howled as Song Mian turned her on, as well as being forced to say a lot of embarra.s.sing things under his coercion.
Except for the fourth base, she was tortured, but in a good, albeit lewd way.
Yun Xiangxiang was furious, and she interrogated him. “Tell me, how many girls did you experiment with to become so skillful?”
The satisfied Song Mian replied., “Don’t use the standards to measure a layman on a doctor who understands human anatomy.”
Yun Xiangxiang ignored him angrily. Song Mian had to spend a lot of time humbling himself and signing unfair deals before she calmed down.
She flew to Guangdong with him the next morning, and there was already a car waiting for them at the airport, sending them to the Tang residence through VIP lane.
The Tang residence was also an elegant, retro building, and the sheer size of the land they stood on shocked Yun Xiangxiang.
As if knowing that Song Mian was coming, the Tang family’s second young master waited for Song Mian himself in a wheelchair pushed by his servant.
Different from the sharp and das.h.i.+ng looks Tang Zhiyu had, Tang Zhili was unexpectedly gentle. He didn’t look like he gave up on life even though he had to rely on a wheelchair, nor was there any gloominess in his eyes. Mild-mannered and handsome were the most suitable description of this man.
“Grandpa was excited through the night when he knew you were coming.” Tang Zhili sounded like he was familiar with Song Mian.
Song Mian knelt and pulled the rug away before he ma.s.saged Tang Zhiyu’s knees. “Still feeling nothing?”
Tang Zhili shook his head. “We’ve been doing acupuncture-like how you told us.”
“Let me see your skin.” Song Mian rolled Tang Zhili’s trouser legs up.
Yun Xiangxiang noticed that his legs looked like they were corroded, and there were a lot of b.u.mps on them.
He might have gone through the best treatment, so the skin color looked similar to a normal person’s, and it was not horrifying.
“Decent flexibility.” Song Mian nodded as he pressed on it. “Take it slow. You’ll heal up.”
“It has been many years, and I have gotten used to it, so it’s fine.” Tang Zhili had a healthy mindset, and he smiled at Yun Xiangxiang. “Aren’t you going to introduce me?”
“You should know her already.” Tang Zhiyu was also Song Mian’s friend on WeChat.
“It’s easier for me to talk after a formal introduction.
“She’s my fiancée, Yun Xiangxiang,” Song Mian introduced her. He continued, “Second young master of the Tang family, Tang Zhili.”
“h.e.l.lo, Young Master Zhili,” Yun Xiangxiang greeted politely.
“h.e.l.lo, you’re prettier than you are in the pictures,” Tang Zhili praised, but then he sighed. “It’s a pity I can’t walk, or else I might meet such a nice lady before you did.”
“You’re going to get your feelings hurt even if you did meet her first.” Song Mian wasn’t about to pull his punches with Tang Zhili.
“Hahahaha, and someone said no woman could catch his eye,” Tang Zhili teased Song Mian.
“That was before I met her.” Song Mian turned and looked at her gently, drowning Tang Zhili in the pool of public affection.
“You’re doing this in front of a differently-abled person. Where did the compa.s.sion of a doctor go?” Tang Zhili couldn’t take it.
“I am a doctor to you, but I am not compa.s.sionate,” Song Mian shot straight.
Tang Zhili couldn’t find any good comebacks, so he said, “I’ll bring you to see Grandpa.”
Master Tang was a septuagenarian, and he was an energetic man, but he was painfully gaunt, and it felt like the insides of his clothes held air instead of a human.
When Song Mian and Yun Xiangxiang went over, a lovely young girl who looked no older than twenty was reading to Master Tang. There was a twinkle in her eyes when she saw Song Mian that only appeared when someone looked at the man she loved.
After a brief introduction, Yun Xiangxiang found out she was the young miss of the Tang family and the sister of Tang Zhiyu—Tang Suran.
“Mr. Tang, this is my fiancée, Yun Xiangxiang,” Song Mian introduced her to Master Tang formally.
The moment he made that introduction, Tang Suran paled.
