Heroes Prison

Chapter 4

Nine Headed Snake. Shi Lin (Level 250, No. 250)

In the primordial times, this was the steed of the Arch Mage Zelare. While it was shredding its skin, it lost its magic abilities and morphed into 9 little humanoids. They secretly sneaked into the Death G.o.d Shrine, stole and devoured the treasure of the Death G.o.d - Tears of Time. It was captured personally by the Death G.o.d, and locked up for eternity.

Level 250! He had never seen such a No. that was in the beginning range, and it was the most powerful convict that he had seen till now, and was the only one that had offended the Death G.o.d directly. Tears of time was a treasure that even the Death G.o.d had cherished, otherwise the G.o.d would not personally hunt the nine headed snake down.

Shi Lin was the arch mage steed, it should have been able to rampant the world, but as it had offended the Death G.o.d, it was still captured and locked forever. The Death G.o.d was a tyrant existence that did not even give face to the arch mage!

Huang Yi glanced into the prison cell, and saw a body that was akin to a hill. It was a huge snake with nine skulls, and there were scales all over its body. In the darkness, it gave off an eerie reflection, and this kind of light made one be impressed by its beauty in the dark.

Suddenly, he felt that something was not right as before, the convicts would have some form of movements in their body, a sign that they were breathing. But Shi Lin was motionless! He could see a thin layer of dust from the reflection of the scales, and it looked like a corpse that had died through the times.

Shi Lin was dead? He was trying to guess what happened. Heroes Prison was around since the beginning of time, and the convicts he noticed earlier were from the ancient times, but only this was from the primordial times! It had been locked up for 5 generations worth of time, and no matter how strong life force one possessed, it would not stand up to the trials of time. There was a hint that it had aged and died. That was why there were no signs of life.

Huang Yi decided to check if his deduction was true.

He squeezed his body through the gap of the metal door and in front of the body, he stretched his hand and touched the corpse.

But there was no reaction. It must be dead.

Huang Yi"s hands stopped at one of the scales, as big as a palm fan, but looked insignificant from the many thousands of scales on its body. That piece of scale was loose and Huang Yi pulled it out!

"Crack!" it sounded like the polishing of a metal piece, and it was removed!

He wiped off the dust from the scale and it started to shine and extremely hard. He kept the scale in its storage ring. This was a material from a Level 200+ boss, so it must be a treasure.

He carried on and looked around the corpse but was unable to find any one that could be easily removed.

He left the cell and continued forward. But there were no corpses in the cells thereafter as all of them were still alive convicts.

After about ten crossroads, Huang Yi stopped again and decided not to move in front.

He felt that there was something missing in this prison.

The atmosphere of the prison was filled heavily with a death atmosphere. On his way, he only saw convicts been locked up but there were no patrolling wardens. A prison definitely had wardens like Rose Prison, otherwise there would be chaos.

His quest was to kill one of the convicts. If there were wardens, he could seek their help and there would be a direction in how the quest could be completed. But the prison was like a maze, and he had to find a warden! It was like searching for a needle in the vast ocean!

Huang Yi decided to look for the location of the resurrection point. It was too difficult to find it and time consuming. The only way was to die once.

Huang Yi turned his head and inside it, there was a 5 to 6 m tall beast man in a deep slumber. Its body was moving up and down and did not notice that he had approached into his cell.

He took a metal rod on the ground, squeezed through the door, stood in front of the beast man, and hit its stomach region.

"Tang!" the metal rod landed on the skin of its stomach. The sound was like the metal had collided with a rock. Although the belly looks soft, it was as hard as metal sheets, impenetrable, and it did not cause any damage at all.

The beast man finally responded and just turned its gigantic body around and continued sleeping.

However, it had squashed Huang Yi alive under its weight.

There was darkness in his vision, and heard two announcements.

(System announcement): Congratulations, you have obtained an achievement - "First Death". Achievement +1.

(System announcement): You are killed by the h.e.l.l beast man; do you want to resurrect?

Small hint: If you die before Level 10, you would be resurrected in the base, and Level would decrease by one; after Level 10, other than resurrecting back in base, there was a chance that you would be randomly resurrected in any place on Second World, and your level would start at Level 1. And you would get to recover by 1 Level every day to your original Level.

The achievement was nothing to be proud of as every player could achieve it and cannot be compared to from what he heard from the world announcement that Blade got which was ONLY achievement.

He chose to resurrect.

There was light in his visions and he was now in a stone chamber filled with golden light rays. It was as big as a soccer field; the walls were made with golden rocks. This place felt like a holy church and was such a sharp contrast with the eerie dark Heroes Prison.

He looked to his left and right and did not notice anything special. There was nothing here and this place was just meant to be a resurrection spot.

There was a door on the right side of the stone chamber. He pushed it and was vigilantly looking what was behind the door.

There were 5 men behind the door, and they were covered in black robes and could only see the face. Their eyes were green and radiated green rays of light.

The leader was a long face man. His eyes were thin and long, and the face looked sickly white, and his whole body felt like he was suffering from a major illness.

"Are you a person sent from Heaven?" the leader asked, and his green eyes curiously stared at Huang Yi.
