Before showing Mika to the healer"s center, Ailwin had to go see about the group in his office. Leading everyone there, he didn"t pay any mind to Ruven walking beside him. He could tell that the man wanted to know who these masked people were.

However, instead of suppling the answers, Ailwin waited until Ruven couldn"t take it any more and asked his self.

"Sir, who are these people?" Ruven wanted to rip the mask off of Mika to see what kind of brat laid underneath.

"Huh? Um...these are the citizens we have been looking for, don"t you recognize them?"

"Recognize…?" Ruven looked back at the group of weirdos wearing masks. "They can"t possibly be citizens…"

"...and why is that?"

"...because there are no cit-...um because all the citizens went into their safe bunkers to wait out this plague." Ruven swift changed the words coming out of his mouth before he created an even bigger slip of the tongue.

"No, not everyone.....we didn"t." Mika contradicted his argument offhandedly.

Ruven turned to look at the midget that has enter herself into his private conversation with Prince Ailwin.

"With all due respect, I have my doubts that you are who you say you are…"

"Advisor Ruven…" Ailwin was itching to pull Ruven back from Mika"s personal s.p.a.ce.

"Oh, Advisor…?"Mika looked Ruven up and down, very degradingly.

"Yes." Ruven smugly straighten his back and held his head up high, as if his fake rank gave him high level authority.

"Hmph…with all due respect, Mr. Advisor. I have my doubts that you are, who you say you are." Mika brushed pa.s.sed Ruven smug figure to walk beside Ailwin.

"Do you think it was wise to do that?" Ailwin whispered to Mika as they continued towards the Governor"s office.

"Yea. He"ll become paranoid, and hopefully start making some mistakes."

"You think s-"

"Wait!" Ruven called out, putting a stop to their conversation.

Both Ailwin and Mika turned to look back at him as he stomped his way to stand in front of Mika again.

"If you are a citizen here in this city then you can tell me the name of our Governor, right?" Ruven smiled quite pleased with himself. He felt like he was going to catch the biggest prey in his entire life.

"Governor Conall...is our Governor." Everyone but Mika and Ruven had confusion written in their eyes.

Did Mikaela pick a name out of thin air...?

Ruven stared at Mika"s masked face in utter shock. The question was supposed to trick Mika into showing that she was indeed one of Prince Ailwin"s people. For Prince Ailwin"s people only know Governor Kelim as the governor of this city. However, Mika actually answer his question with the correct answer!

"Ruven…?" Ailwin called out to him when he saw the man glaring at Mika"s masked face.

"Yea...that...um...that"s wrong. Prince Ailwin, I think you should check over these people" ident.i.ties." Ruven words were lacking conviction as he was still stumped over how Mika knew the correct answer to his question.

They had long changed the Governor of this city to Kelim. The real Governor, Conall, died the same day they took control of this city years ago.

"Okay, then we will discuss this further inside." Ailwin pointed to the office room ten feet down the hall.

"En...yea.." Ruven responded distractedly as his mind was in a panic.

Who the h.e.l.l is this b***ch? I need to get in contact with the bosses…

Ruven was trying to find a good reason to excuse himself from Ailwin"s presence, but when he stepped into the office and saw the group of people the King had sent, all thoughts of that happening escaped his mind.

What the f**k! What are they going here!?

Adamar had taken upon himself to sit behind the Governor"s desk with his legs up on the table.

Kaze was rubbing the sides of his head in small circles, wondering what the h.e.l.l took them so long to get here.

The group in the office made up about twenty people, they all sat in the office in a relax matter. They didn"t bother to stand up and bow to Ailwin when he walked into the room, they just continued to drink their tea.

"You"re finally here." Adamar continue to sit in the governor"s chair as he acknowledges Ailwin"s presence in the room.

Ailwin did bother to greet the group as he turned to Kaze with a questioning glance.

"They refused the leave and even brought out the King"s authority." Kaxe answered.

Ailwin" eyebrow rose as he look back at the group in contempt.

Adamar didn"t like the look on Ailwin"s face nor that fact that he had ignored him when he entered the room. Still delirious from having Kaze do his bidding, Adamar forgot he was talking to a Prince and a Commander of the best army in Kaia Kingdom.

"Tsk… You made us wait so long and now you want to have a private conversation with one of your soldiers!" Adamar stood from his seat and pointed his finger in Ailwin"s direction.

"We are here behalf of the King, himself! And you made us wait outside the city for over three days doing nothi-"

No one saw it coming, least of all Adamar when Ailwin moved so fast to backhand slap him across the desk, to crashed onto the coffee table in the middle of the room.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click for visiting.

This was the first time Hycis and Celaena got to see Ailwin using his powers. He had moved so fast that their eyes couldn"t track him.

For Mika, this wasn"t the first time seeing Ailwin use his powers but it was definitely she seen him move that fast.

d.a.m.n! What the h.e.l.l is in his Wheaties… He must have been holding back the last time.
