Ruven had escape to the Governor"s office where he quickly got rid of the two guards at the door. By teleporting into the office, he opened the door and shot them in the back much to the surprise of Adamar and his group."Whwhy did you do that!?" Adamar shouted from behind the desk.
"The same reason why I"m gonna do this," Ruven began shooting everyone in the room, leaving no one alive.
In the end, Ruven grabbed the tablet from out of Adamar"s dead hands and marched out of the room.
Ailwin had left the control room when he finished off his three opponents, running to the Governor"s office he figured Ruven would go to collect the tablet.
By the time he reach there, he realized he was too late. The two soldiers he had placed as the door were dead and their blood had already puddle underneath their bodies.
"d.a.m.nit…."
Checking to make sure that there was really nothing he could do for his lost men, Ailwin ran into the office to see a blood bath inside.
Ruven didn"t leave anyone alive and Ailwin didn"t bother to check for survivors. Obviously, Ruven came here for tablet and to clean up loose ends, there was no need to inspect further.
Walking out of the room, Ailwin alerted all his people inside and outside the city that there was a enemy on the loose and that he could teleport.
"All captains, have the solders armed and ready. Tell them to shoot to kill...no capture. Understood?"
"Yes, sir!" Shouted all his captains.
The soldiers inside the city and outside the city, who were idle for pa.s.s couple of days rejoiced at getting some action their way.
Following their superiors" orders, they quickly armed themselves with weapons before scouting the area.
Ruven watched all this happening from the top of the building.
"Tsk….Prince Ailwin think he can catch me like this."
Ruven had been on top of the roof, waiting for his bosses to get back to him after sending out his message.
He thought about just leaving the city at first, but that would mean spending the night in the forest or canyons waiting for his ride to show up.
Lazying around the rooftop sounded much better than hiking through the woods and canyons.
Pulling out the small vial from his pocket, Ruven pop the cork and went to pour the liquid down his throat, but before he could he heard the stomping of boots coming up the stairwell.
Sh*t! They"re here already!?
Carefully re-corking his vial, Ruven placed it back inside his pocket just as the rooftop"s door slammed open.
Five soldiers were standing in front of him with their guns aimed at his body.
Ruven didn"t waste time dealing with the five soldiers. Waving his hand "goodbye", he disappeared from their sight just when they began to shoot.
Appearing in a hallway, Ruven quickly surveyed behind him, to make sure he wouldn"t be shot in the back by surprise before looking ahead of him to see two familiar figures walking away from him.
Smiling to himself, Ruven considered having some fun before leaving the city.
This little twit...I will see you suffer and face before I leave here today.
