Chapter 243 One more condition
“I have no time to go to your place. So take Ansheng to my place.” Ye Sichen said coldly.
Before Xia Nuan spoke, he hung up the phone directly.
Xia Nuan stared at the phone for a while, cleared up a little, and then she walked out of the bedroom, holding the sleeping Ansheng.
Wuyou and Nianci rubbed their eyes, and looked at her sleepily.
“Mom, where are you going?”
Wuyou asked Xia Nuan.
She kissed Ansheng on the forehead, “I’m taking him to see a doctor.”
“I want to go.”
“I want to go.”
They said together.
Xia Nuan thought that the kids also missed their father, so she dressed them in their clothes and took them to meet Ye Sichen.
If he embarra.s.sed her, kids would help.
Xia Nuan took three kids to Ye Sichen’s villa in Feicheng City. She held Ansheng and felt uneasy all the time.
The members of Yuezhao Organization were in the car behind Xia Nuan. They were following her all the way. Knowing that she went to Ye Sichen’s villa at midnight, they called Baili immediately. But Baili only asked them to keep Xia Nuan safe.
Arrived at the villa, she became a little more comfortable when seeing Ken come out to greet her. She hoped that Luo Lan was not here.
The living room was empty. Ken led Wuyou and Nianci upstairs, and Xia Nuan followed with Ansheng in her arms.
“Mr. Ye is working in the study.” Ken said.
Xia Nuan nodded, looking at Ansheng helplessly.
Stepping in the study, she smelt the familiar fragrance, which was a mixed scent of violets and books. She recalled the memory when she first came here to look after Wuyou and Nianci. But the smell of violets reminded her of Luo Lan…
Dressed in a white casual wear with an unb.u.t.toned collar, Ye Sichen sat cross-legged beside the desk, holding a pen and drawing notes and stave on the paper.
Xia Nuan held Ansheng and stood at the door. Ken was supposed to inform Mr. Ye, but he only knocked on and opened the door and then left immediately. Wuyou and Nianci rushed happily to Ye Sichen.
Ye Sichen put his work aside and held two kids in his arms.
“Dad, we miss you so much, why don’t you come to see us?”
Nianci asked Ye Sichen.
He kissed her on the forehead, “I’m busy. I’m going to see you when I am free.”
She kissed her father on the cheek.
“Mom also missed you badly, so she brings us to here.” Wuyou said.
Ye Sichen’s smile disappeared. He looked at Xia Nuan. Ansheng was still sleeping in her arms now. She stood in front of him, feeling a little fl.u.s.tered.
“Ansheng is ill.”
Xia Nuan said.
“I know. You repeat that Ansheng is ill, because you want to inform me that he wants to see me, not you.” Ye Sichen turned to her and whispered.
He took the kid from her.
“That’s not what I mean. I do want to see you. The matter about Ansheng must be solved by us together.” Xia Nuan said.
He didn’t answer, and just held Ansheng. Then he asked Auntie Lian and Ken to take Wuyou and Nianci to their previous bedroom to sleep.
Then he put Ansheng on a small bed, which was specially prepared for him in the study.
Besides the sleeping Ansheng, there were only Xia Nuan and Ye Sichen in the room. Xia Nuan was about to tell the truth to him in the absence of the other two kids.
But before Xia Nuan made any sound, he asked her to leave, “I’ll send the kids to you tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. You can go back first.”
He sat beside the bed, and continued to draw the stave.
Xia Nuan just stood there, wringing her hands, and didn’t intent to leave, “I have something about Ansheng to tell you.”
“Talk about it later. Anyway, you don’t want to stay with me. So you go.” Ye Sichen replied firmly.
Xia Nuan bit lips. Her eyes were filled with tears. She said, “Ansheng is seriously ill. We need to solve it together.”
Ye Sichen frowned and put his work aside. He stared at her, asked “What’s the matter with Ansheng?”
Xia Nuan handed the medical report to him. He read carefully.
“Ansheng was diagnosed as having aplastic anemia. If it gets worse, it may threaten his life…” Xia Nuan paused, and looked at sleeping Ansheng, feeling distressed.
“Does Mi Ke’er have any better treatments?” Ye Sichen asked.
Xia Nuan was ready to tell Mi Ke’er’s advice to him, but she didn’t because of embarra.s.sment, “You can call her.”
“You are Ansheng’s mother, not Mi Ke’er! Ansheng fell ill in your house. Don’t you know?” Ye Sichen became a little angry.
Xia Nuan had to tell the treatment to him, “She said that I must have another baby…”
Ye Sichen listened to her quietly. After she finished, he looked at her, and said, “So you come to me.”
“You are Ansheng’s father.” She had no other ways.
Ye Sichen sneered, “You just remember me when you need me. If Ansheng were not ill, you would never come to me.”
“Just for Ansheng, please.” Xia Nuan looked away, “I know you felt uncomfortable, but I do all these just for Ansheng.”
“Ansheng is also my son. I will try all means to help him get rid of pain.” Ye Sichen said. He really loved his kids.
Xia Nuan felt comforted. She thought for a moment and said, “We’d better have a baby through artificial insemination. I’ll calculate my ovulatory time and tell you.”
He looked at her, “OK.”
After the discussion, Xia Nuan was relieved a lot. She smiled at Ye Sichen and said, “You go to bed early. I’ll come tomorrow.”
“What if Ansheng wakes up in the midnight and wants his mom?” He asked and stopped her.
“Then I’ll sleep with Wuyou and Nianci.” She said.
He didn’t say anything, and she went to the kids’ bedroom alone.
She got their bedroom. Two kids were disappointed when seeing her alone. They kept asking her, “Why does dad not come to sleep with us?”
“Your dad is in the study, and so is Ansheng.”
“Why not ask dad and Ansheng to sleep here?” Wuyou said.
Xia Nuan frowned and said, “No. It may wake him up. He is ill, and needs a good rest.”
The kids thus perished the thought, laid beside her quietly and fell asleep soon. However, Xia Nuan was sleepless for the whole night.
Next morning, two kids and she got up only to find that Ye Sichen and Ansheng had left. Auntie Lian said that they went to visit Mi Ke’er.
She had no appet.i.te for breakfast. But she had to sit down and eat a little in order to let kids eat peacefully.
Noticing that she had no appet.i.te, Auntie Lian said, “Mr. Ye said that you should eat well, and these are specially for you.”
Although Auntie Lian didn’t know why Ye Sichen cared about Xia Nuan, his words were just like imperial edict to her. She must tell it to Xia Nuan.
Hearing the words, Xia Nuan tried to eat more.
After finishing the breakfast, two kids held her hands and asked her to look for Ye Sichen. Xia Nuan and kids were about to leave when Ye Sichen came back, holding Ansheng, followed by Mi Ke’er.
“How’s Ansheng?” It seemed that Ansheng was better than yesterday. Xia Nuan was relieved a bit.
Mi Ke’er held Xia Nuan’s hands and sat beside the sofa, while Ye Sichen was holding Ansheng and sitting on the opposite of them. Mi Ke’er took a glance at Ye Sichen and said to Xia Nuan, “Are you ready? What is your ovulation time?”
“I’m ready. About five days later.” Xia Nuan nodded and answered.
“Well, After five days, you and Mr. Ye…” She was about to speak but stopped. It seemed that she thought of something, “By the way, Mr. Ye said that you wanted artificial insemination. Really?”
Xia Nuan took a glance at Ye Sichen who was still silent, and nodded.
“I’m afraid not. The child given birth in this way is too weak. You have to conceive naturally.” Mi Ke’er said.
Xia Nuan blushed, “But we just need umbilical cord blood.”
Mi Ke’er was speechless for a while. Then she said, “If infant is unhealthy, its umbilical cord blood is no good.”
Xia Nuan knew nothing about medicine, but she trusted Mi Ke’er very much.
“So remember, just natural conception, no artificial insemination.” Then Mi Ke’er stood up, looking at Ye Sichen, “I hope you take my advice.”
Ye Sichen nodded, “OK.”
“Deal. Remember, five days later.” She coughed politely and then left.
After Mi Ke’er left, only Xia Nuan and Ye Sichen were in the living room. Three kids were taken out.
Xia Nuan felt a little embarra.s.sed. She whispered, “I go check Ansheng.”
Ye Sichen stopped her when she turned around.
“There is one more condition before natural conception.”
