After a few minutes of small talk, they ended their discussion and Ryth bid his farewell to Chief Fenar and the others. Together with Hill and Llyod, they headed back to their a.s.signed house."I"ll go and prepare for tomorrow. So, I"ll be in my room if you need me for something," Ryth said to Hill and Llyod, as they entered their a.s.signed room.
"Okay, my lord." Both of them nodded in unison.
Inside his room, Ryth sat on his bed and called out Daedalus. "Daedalus. Let me have a look at the items inside the inventory. I need to double check the items."
"Sure, I"ll open it for you."
Inventory panel appeared in Ryth"s interface, then he skimmed through it. "Daedalus, sort the items on magic scrolls first."
"Alright!"

"That"s all for the magic scrolls!" Daedalus said.
"Mhm, these will come in handy later." Ryth lay down on his bed and continued, "The rest of the items inside are mostly crafting materials such as the huge bear and wolf"s claws, fangs, skins, and furs from back then... also metal ingots..."
Ryth was immersed in his thoughts when he suddenly remembered about something and shouted, "Daedalus! make me another weapon!"
"Eh? Aren"t your swords good enough?"
Ryth shook his head. "No no. The swords are good," he said. "But this time, I"d like a bow. This is useful for my second job."
He got up from the bed and started to walk out of the room. "Alright, then! Let"s go to the smithing place."
His second job was an archer job, which was at a decent level. Apparently, the original owner of the body had trained the skill very well under Hill"s guidance. It would be a waste to not make use of the skills.
Ryth then head over to the living room, where Hill and Llyod were busy playing chess. "I"m going out to Mr. Har"s smithing place. Just call out for me if there"s anything urgent," he informed them.
Hill nodded. Llyod, with his hand near his temple, giving a salute, said, "Okay, my lord!"
Ryth walked leisurely to Mr. Har"s smithing place. Once he arrived there, he greeted the older elf and asked whether he could use the smithing place. With a smile on his face, Mr. Har nodded and gestured for Ryth to go in.
In front of the table, inside the smithing place, Ryth pushed his sleeves back and said with a determined glint in his eye, "Alright, lets do this! An Ebony bow and arrows coming up!"
"Yes! Lets do this!"
Daedalus immediately activated the panel that gives an option whether Ryth allows the usage of his hands to Daedalus. Without any hesitation, Ryth chose "Confirm".
Daedalus held the control of Ryth"s hand and began to work.
"CLANG, CLANG!" the sound of hammer resounded for half an hour.
---------
"Done! Try it, partner!" said Daedalus in excitement.
Ryth wiped the sweat on his forehead, grabbed the new bow and examined it. "Nice work Daedalus!" Ryth complimented.
Daedalus had already enchanted the new bow with a grand soul stone, so it had magic imbued within it, the new bow has the same quality as Hill"s, but its model and colour were different.
The bow was metallic red in colour, with sharp edges at each tip of the bow. The upper and lower limbs were designed to curved outward with arrow rest and the hard and metallic grip at the centre. Despite how heavy it looked, it was quite light, making it easier to carry and use.
Daedalus also made some arrows, with different types. He made it with other metal ingots such as iron, gla.s.s, aluminium and orichalc.u.m. Each arrow has different colour on them, based on the ingots being used to create them.
"Partner! Check out the quiver too! I"ve made it from bear"s skin and fur in black!" Daedalus exclaimed in excitement.
Ryth looked down at the quiver on his hand. The bottom and the top of the quiver was clothed in leather, which Ryth presumed was made of bear"s skin. The middle of the quiver was clothed in soft black fur, which was held together with a gold b.u.t.ton. The strap of the quiver which was used as a handle to carry the quiver was also black in colour and was made in leather. It looked coa.r.s.e yet stunning and neat.
Ryth"s eyes widened. "Whoa!" he cried out in surprise. "This looks amazing, Daedalus! Your sense in fashion has improved," he continued, giving a thumbs-up.
Daedalus guffawed. Then he went silent.
"Woi! What do you mean by that?? My sense in fashion has always been top-notch!" he retorted.
Ryth just smiled and began to gather all of the arrows and placed them inside the quiver.
He lifted the quiver up and swung it around his back, "Let"s test the new bow."
"Let"s go!"
Ryth cleaned up the smithing place and thanked Mr. Har for the use of the smithing place.
He then walked over to the ladder which led to the ground below the trees.
Once on the ground, he walked to a big tree, measure the distance and made a target mark. Ryth took a few steps away from the tree and back to where the ladder was. He stood nearby the ladder and prepared his bow and arrow.
"Let"s try without using any kind of skills." With the skill that the original body owner had trained for years, Ryth was able to use the bow.
"TAP!" the sound of an arrow pierced through the air and it hit the tree, right on the center of the target.
"Bullseye!" Ryth imitated the way Mirana from D*tA 2 said her famous word when she managed to hit the enemy with her arrow.
"Why are you getting so excited?" Daedalus voiced his confusion.
"Ah, nothing, just reminiscing about something." Ryth coughed awkwardly.
"When you are using a bow and hit the target, you will want to shout that word out loud, right?" thought Ryth to himself.
Ryth coughed again, looking serious. He took another further step back, grabbed an arrow and shot it.
"TAP!" the arrow landed on the center of the target again.
"Okay, seems like I have no problem when it comes to unmoving objects. Let"s try to shoot while moving fast."
Ryth trained until the sun was about to set. It was already late afternoon, when Ryth had tried every possible moves in his mind, as well as accustomed his body when it comes to switching weapons between bow and swords.
Ryth let out a long breath, panting. He wiped the sweat off his forehead and said, "I"m beat. Lets head back to the house." He then walked towards the ladder, after gathering back all the arrows being used into his quiver.
"Ku ku ku! The new bow is exceptionally good, right?"
"Yeah, nice work." Ryth nodded.
He headed straight to his a.s.signed house when the sun had already set, clouding the sky in a soft orange hue. The wind blows softly in the air, making Ryth feel more relaxed.
Once he reached the house, Hill, who was coming out of the living room, notice the bow at the back of Ryth. He immediately headed over to Ryth and asked, "My lord, can I take a look at that new bow?" Although his face looked expressionless, but his eyes contained excitement in them.
"Sure." Ryth smiled and let Hill inspect his new bow, quiver, and arrows.
Ryth then said, "I"ll take a bath first. You can place the bow in my room when you"re done with it."
"Alright, my lord."
--------
Ryth was done with his bath when he saw his bow on his bed. Hill must have placed it there while he was bathing. He put on his clothes and walked out of his room to the dining room.
Inside, Hill and Llyod were waiting for his at the table, with the foods placed in front of them.
"Thank you for letting me examine your bow, my lord," Hill said, with a small bow of his head. "It looked amazing. And the grip was great."
Ryth laughed, looking awkward. "Hahah. Thanks."
They began to eat their dinner, while having a small talk about what they were going to do tomorrow.
Once they were done, together they washed the dishes and then Ryth returned back to his room. He laid down on his bed and called out Daedalus. "Daedalus, open my status panel."
"Got it!"
Ryth skimmed through it and found that his exp bar had already reached 94,7% of level 38.
"I leveled up just after defeating one boss, that"s good, then," Ryth smiled, "But why didn"t I noticed the announcement?"
"Maybe because you are too tired, you didn"t notice the announcement." Daedalus answered.
Ryth sighed, "Well, maybe."

"Good, now that I have this skill, I can move much longer," Ryth grinned, "Let"s prepare for tomorrow, after that we will rest."
"Okay!" answered Daedalus.
----------
It was early morning, the sun has not rise up when Ryth woke up. They decided to wake up at 3AM so that they can still used the darkness to their advantage for this mission.
Ryth quickly did all of his daily routine and then went to the kitchen to help Llyod and Hill as usual. They were eating their breakfast when Ryth asked the two of them about their preparations.
"We are ready, my lord," answered Llyod.
"Good." Ryth nodded.
They continued to eat quietly, and after a few minutes, someone knocked on the front door.
"Excuse me, Ryth? Are you ready?" a beautiful voice called out from the outside.
Ryth hurriedly walked to the door as he replied, "Wait!"
Ryth opened the door and saw Azalea standing outside. She was wearing the armor that Ryth had made yesterday. She looked ethereally beautiful with her short silver hair blowing in the air, due to the wind. The moonlight shines on her as she smiled gently to him. It made Ryth speechless for a split second.
"Ryth?" Azalea tilted her head to the side as she called out Ryth"s name in confused.
Ryth brought back to reality, he awkwardly averted his gaze and then cough before saying, "Good morning, Azalea." Ryth smiled.
"Mhm, good morning as well," Azalea nodded, "Are you ready?"
"Of course," Ryth turned his head and said, "Llyod, Hill, let"s go!"
"Alright, my lord!" Llyod"s voice could be heard from inside.
Minutes later, the four of them walked towards the village"s entrance. Chief Fenar, Tregnar, Woodgard, Lady Elsa and the soldiers who got picked to join the campaign had already gathered there.
"Good morning, Mr. Myrad. Miss Azalea, Mr. Hill, and Mr. Llyod," Chief Fenar cupped his hands towards them. "Many apologies but I can"t join you because I have to stay here for the village"s safety. But I"ll pray for your safety."
Ryth returned the gesture and said, "It"s alright, and many thanks, Chief Fenar."
-------
Azalea was smiling at Chief Fenar and then she turned her gaze towards the man, a human who kept helping her in her times of need. She always felt secure and in peace whenever he is around her.
These past two months, she always thought about the battle against her uncle. In order to defeat him, she asked for help from the dark elves and the humans. Although, they agreed to help her, she always felt that there are still things that she needs to do. At the same time, she realized how many people do care about her. She was grateful for what she has right now.
But the feeling of anxiety is still there. She would often asked to herself, "What if we failed? And what if I drag everyone into their end just because they are helping me?" And every time she thought about this and the weight of the guilt became heavier.
But then again, there"s always a certain face that appeared in her mind as he said, "I will help you, you know? Just don"t try to shoulder all of those things alone. You have me."
She felt warmth filled her heart every time she thought about it. She looked up at the night sky as she revealed a smile. "I"m glad that I"ve met you," she said softly to herself.
"Hey, Azalea?" a man"s voice called her and bringing her back to reality. She turned her head towards the origin of the voice and said, "Mhm, what?"
"You want to say something to the dark elves, right? Go ahead." Ryth nodded at her.
Azalea nodded, and then turned towards the soldiers, "Everyone, I would like to say thank you for agreeing to help me." She bowed deeply, bent at the waist with tears slide down her cheeks.
"No problem, Miss! We will succeed!"
"Yeah! We will do our best!"
Shouts were coming from the crowd, voicing their support for her. Azalea closed her eyes and keeps saying "Thank you" to them. But then there was a hand on her left shoulder and said, "It"s going to be alright," Lady Elsa said in a gentle tone, "Now, let"s go."
Azalea wiped the tears from her eyes. With a look of determination on her face and a glint of courage in her eyes, she stood up straight and said, "Okay."
