I Am The Queen

Chapter 13

Evangeline twitched her brows. She stared at her un-replied e-mail. It was already an hour past seven in the morning, yet she still stared emotionlessly at her laptop screen – unmoving.

She was still lazing around on her Queen size cozy bed with only her silky lingerie on.

"Don"t you think he did this on purpose? Like he"s playing hard to get?" She glanced at her pets beside her.

Oink! Oink!

Summer, the pink piglet immediately circled when their eyes meet.

Evangeline smiled haughtily. "That"s right. He must be! I mean, who in the universe can resist this allure, right?"

Then she glanced at Winter who was too lazy, not moving, slumping on top of his paws.

"What do you think, Winter?"

Winter glanced at her. Her tail lazily swung back and forth before she resumed to doze off.

"..."

Diiinnngggg~!

Evangeline got up, put on her robe before she pressed the intercom. Her eyebrow rose when she saw who was outside in her living room, making himself comfortable, brewing tea. She walked out from her bedroom towards the open living and dining room.

"Good morning Eva! You look breath-taking as always." Asher flashed out his killer flirtatious smile as he prepared their breakfast.

Evangeline quietly sat on the dining table and watched this delicious male specimen of a cousin of hers as he busied himself in her kitchen.

Asher have exclusive access to her unit, and he would sometimes bring her servants (fan club) to clean and fed her family (pets).

"Don"t you have a game to win?" She asked after a while as she lazily held her chin and crossed her legs.

"Nah... I"ve already won yesterday against that guy. That"s enough for me." Asher remained fixated on what he was doing while whistling, apparently in a good mood.

Since two years ago, at the sight of this female cousin of his, the moment he laid eyes on this doll-like woman, he swore that he would serve and pamper her for life. He even went out of his way to follow her in this country and transferred schools so that he could be with her, much to his parents, brothers and grandfather"s annoyance.

Evangeline gave him a new sense of purpose from his everyday mundane, boring life. The indescribable fulfillment that completed him whenever he served her, and in turn, blessed him with her delightful smile.

It wasn"t really his intention to led a biker gang. It just happened since he loves motorbikes. The men couldn"t help but be attracted to his charisma, deadly charms and aura coupled by Evangeline"s diehard fans in Fate Academy, one thing led to another, and they had formed a club that would do anything to serve her.

A year ago, Evangeline and Daniel was still a couple. He didn"t attend the interschool sports festival because it didn"t interest him. He didn"t have any interest in fame nor glory. All he ever wanted was to be with her.

When he had gotten knowledge that she had a boyfriend for the first time, his wonderful world burned to ashes right before his very eyes.

Ever since then, he always wanted to teach that Prince charming a lesson.

At first, Asher wanted to enroll in Unmei Academy to be with his beautiful cousin, but this lovely cousin of his strongly objected for unknown reasons. Thus, he contented to picked a nearby school instead, that was Fate Academy.

For Evangeline, she didn"t want someone who would continuously follow her around. Since unlike her other servants and p.a.w.ns who knew their places and standing, just contented on watching and serving her, Asher was different. Mainly because he is family.

Her straightforward and dashing rook.

Asher"s personality was like a hot-tempered loyal bull. He would trample anyone who would dare to antagonize her. He would break anyone"s bones for talking nasty things behind her back. He would beat and threatened everyone who wanted to get closer to her.

And where"s the fun in that?

Evangeline smirked.

She didn"t know what drama unfolded in yesterday"s match since she had left early, but she knew who won and who lost thanks to "her" reaction paper.

"Why do you even said yes to that weak sissy anyways?" Asher sneered, remembering that pampered Prince.

Evangeline"s haughty face didn"t change as she smiled sweetly.

"Well, it"s always nice to have a servant boy around in school."

She always wanted someone to attend to her at school, but all the boys who confessed to her ended up being bullied out of the Academy. No one lasted.

She needed someone like a knight. Strong, powerful, a perfect gentleman, kind, smart and that no matter what, would stay in the Academy to serve her without restricting her freedom. Without hindering her actions. Without getting in her way.

Asher would be perfect except for the last two requirements while Daniel was made for the job. He was everything a knight should be. Smart, kind, a perfect gentleman, above all, no one dared to bully him.

Him, being a true blooded Prince and his handsome looks were all just added bonus.

But unfortunately, he broke after just a year.

So weak.

And that was where Eric came into the picture.

Eric was perfect as a replacement for Daniel"s position. Though Eric was often bullied, but he remained in the Academy, not minding and succ.u.mbing to fear of oppression. A testament to his strong character and one of a kind mental tenacity.

Though Eric lacked Daniel"s other qualities, t.i.tling him half a knight, he would suffice – for now.

Asher chuckled.

He felt happy and satisfied with this beautiful, haughty woman. He knew that this cousin of his enjoyed toying and stabbing cold freezing icicles to those hot-blooded arrogant, haughty men.

"Hmp! That p.u.s.s.y doesn"t deserve the honor of serving you. If you wanted a servant, I"m always welling." Asher placed the food on the table and served Evangeline her favorite tea before he went to her side and kneeled just like a dashing knight in shining armor.

"I"ll gladly drop everything for you and attend to you for eternity." Asher earnestly proclaimed while he grabbed Evangeline"s little hand before softly kissing the back of her palm.

Evangeline smiled, sparkles twinkled beneath her emotionless eyes.

----?----

Daniel glanced at his watch and then took a sidelong gaze at his reflection, reflecting on that full-length gla.s.s of the retail store to check for his appearance once more.

He was wearing a brand new tailored V-neck crochet sweatshirt beneath a brown leather coat paired with skinny black pants and leather boots. Everything was brand new and designed by the royal family"s designers. His alluring black hair that changes color under the light of the sun was combed to perfection as he made sure that everything was perfect.

Daniel felt all giddy and excited.

This was the day that he would confess to Sisley.

Thus, everything must be perfect.

The confession two days ago was halted when his bright, cheery mood turned to gloom and doom when they had lost against Fate Academy. Their team was immediately terminated from the championship without any retaliation, making him the media"s favorite topic to scorn while he faced his family and friends" disappointments. He had suffered humiliation just because his team didn"t win. Because HE didn"t win.

Thus, how could he still be in the mood to entertain such thoughts about love at that time?

He felt depressed once more remembering that mortifying lost. Even with all his skills and speed, he still couldn"t beat Asher when it came to techniques and raw strength.

Even though their score were not that far apart, but the important thing to society was the fact that he had lost.

So now he had nothing to do the whole holiday break, but gulped down his humiliation.

He immediately shook away the doom and gloom out of his system as he concentrated his focus on this day.

He had somewhat recovered from the shame and embarra.s.sment, and it was all thanks to Sisley and his friends, sending him encouraging messages these past two days.

Instantly, his mood brightened when he thought all the surprises he had in stored for her.

He reserved a romantic lunch for them at a membership-only restaurant in one of Blue River city"s number one luxury mall.

After lunch, he would take her for shopping. After all, admit it or not, every girl loves to shop. He wanted to buy her everything that she wanted. Branded dresses, expensive pieces of jewelry, designer bags and shoes. And afterwards, they would watch a movie, ending in a romantic backyard dinner where he would confess his feelings for her.

Yosh…!

Daniel curled his fingers into fists as he pumped himself.

"Daniel..."

Instantly, his body shook, and everything turned sunny when he laid eyes on a charming young woman with pink fluffy shoulder length hair, half running towards him, wearing a simple dress.

Sisley was wearing a modest pastel pink princess dress with long white stockings paired with pastel rainbow colored doll shoes. Her pink shoulder length hair loosened for the cold wind to blew freely.

She looked irresistibly refreshing and adorable that Daniel couldn"t help a smile appeared on his astonish face.

"Sorry... did you wait long?" Sisley asked between panting in her soft, cheerful voice.

Daniel shook his head. His smile grew wider.

"No. Just got here." He lied and extended his hand towards the girl.

"Shall we go?"

A light rosy pink dusts appeared on Sisley"s cheeks as giggly romantic feelings filled her. Her slightly shaking hands grabbed that of Daniel"s. Her heart skipped a beat when the handsome man squeezed her tiny hand before they entered the shopping mall to have their lunch.
