Chapter 974: Unfinished Business
“Who would have thought that we would be obtaining treasures even on holidays?”
An Lin stroked his storage ring and surveyed the powerful Large Water Ball inside as an involuntary smile appeared on his face.
Da Bai immediately took advantage of this opportunity. “Big Brother An, this is an event worthy of celebration! Maybe you should distribute some benefits? Woof!”
An Lin rolled his eyes before giving Da Bai a second-grade spirit pill. He thought about it for a moment before also giving Tina a first-grade spirit pill.
Da Bai’s eyes widened. “Why does Little Na get a first-grade spirit pill, while I only get a second-grade spirit pill? Woof!”
An Lin chuckled in response. “Little Na had to contribute her blood and teleport all of us to the bottom of the ocean, what did you do aside from spectating?”
Da Bai had no response to this.
A vibrant smile appeared on Tina’s face as she patted Da Bai’s head. “Here, Da Bai, you can have my spirit pill too!”
Da Bai’s eyes widened in response. He was both shocked and extremely touched. “Don’t you need spirit pills too, Little Na? No, I… I can’t accept this!”
He was not a shameless dog, and he knew that there was nothing wrong with An Lin’s distribution method. If he really did take Tina’s spirit pill as well, then he would be just as shameless as An Lin was!
“That’s alright, take it! I have many spirit fruits in my Divine Mirror World, and I can just go there and eat one whenever I want.” Tina shrugged.
Only now did Da Bai realize who he was speaking to, and he silently accepted her spirit pill. This was a G.o.d of Creation here! She didn’t need any spirit pills!
“Big Brother An, where do we go next? Woof!” Da Bai swallowed a spirit pill, and his eyes narrowed with enjoyment.
“Hmm… I’m making a trip to Changbai Mountain,” An Lin replied.
“Changbai Mountain? Is that a fun place?” Tina asked.
An Lin chuckled. “There is a Zombie G.o.ddess with whom I need to communicate with.”
“Zombie G.o.ddess? Why is this name so familiar…”
Da Bai was confused for several seconds before recalling what had happened two years ago.
His eyes widened in shock following the recollection. “So that’s what you’re trying to do, Big Brother An! Can you still not forget her after all this time? But then again, her figure really was fantastic, hehehe…”
Da Bai was clearly getting quite excited, and a mysterious smile appeared on his face.
Meanwhile, Tina was quite confused.
What was An Lin trying to do? She had a nagging feeling he was up to no good.
“What are you two talking about?” Tina asked.
An Lin coughed lightly. “Er, Da Bai, go take Tina to explore elsewhere. I’ll make a quick trip to Changbai Mountain, and I’ll be back in a jiffy.”
“You want to leave me behind, Big Brother An? I refuse! I want to go as well! Woof!” Da Bai immediately objected. He wanted to see the smoking hot Zombie G.o.ddess too.
An Lin stared directly at Da Bai. “Why do you want to go? Hmm?”
Da Bai suddenly detected a fearsome killing intent, and his body trembled as he forced a smile onto his face. “Little Na, where do you want to go? I’ll accompany you, woof!”
Tina pouted at An Lin, clearly a little unhappy that An Lin was ditching her to do something else, but she still replied to Da Bai’s question, “Let’s go to the South Pole. I want to see the Aurora Australis.”
“No problem! We’ll wait for you, Big Brother An!” Da Bai flew with Tina in tow as they headed toward the south.
An Lin heaved a light sigh as he flew atop his brick toward Changbai Mountain.
Back in the day, he had refused the mission in order to preserve his first kiss and missed out on the Yin G.o.d cultivation method. Not only that, but he was reduced to a block of ice for three whole days.
Even now, those tragic experiences were clear in his mind.
Now, he had to take care of unfinished business and obtain the Yin G.o.d cultivation method!
He had no choice! This was a vital part of breaking through to the Return to Void Stage, so he could only do this, even if it upset him.
A huge black brick broke through the clouds before landing in the mountain ranges.
“This is Changbai Mountain. I hope you’re still here.” A faint smile appeared on An Lin’s face.
In the past, it would have been next to impossible for him to find the Zombie G.o.ddess in such a vast area.
However, his consciousness now was comparable to the top Return to Void Stage mighty figures. Unless she was concealing her aura on purpose, it wouldn’t be difficult to find the Zombie G.o.ddess with his divine sense, provided she was still here.
An Lin sat down on his black brick with his legs folded in front of him before closing his eyes.
Boom!
His divine sense instantly encompa.s.sed an area of over fifty kilometers in diameter.
This was the area on Changbai Mountain with the richest vital energy, so if the Zombie G.o.ddess was still around, then she was most likely in this area.
An Lin detected a ferocious wolf tearing into an a.s.sailant, a python mutant beast swallowing a tiger whole, as well as an array of other mutant beasts, but none of them detected his detection.
He was very patient as he sat unmoving while biding his time.
The night descended.
Everything was very quiet with the exception of an occasional wolf howl or two.
The energy of yin slowly began to become more abundant.
An Lin could detect some dead spirits becoming more active. There were even some corpses that had risen from their graves and began to roam the forest as they absorbed the yin energy around them.
Suddenly, the power of pure yang burst forth in the distance.
“Oh? How interesting. Is that a daoist priest?” An Lin asked with a hint of curiosity.
On a certain hill within Changbai Mountain.
A man wielding a peach wood sword was slaying the low-level zombies that were popping up from the ground.
This man was pretty powerful at around tenth-stage Dao Body, and the zombies stood no chance.
However, he soon attracted more powerful enemies.
A Zombie King began to appear as the dense power of death erupted from its body.
An Lin felt like this was an opportunity, and he used his Mist Immortal Technique to surrept.i.tiously approach the battle.
“Hahaha! Jiang Xiangyang, I didn’t think you would have to guts to appear at Changbai Mountain again! Today is going to be your death day!” The Spirit Nurturing Stage Zombie King already possessed intelligence, and it pounced toward the zombie exterminator with a sinister smile on its face.
Jiang Xiangyang used his sword to defend himself, and the Zombie King slapped the wooden sword with a pair of crimson claws.
The terrifying power of death emanating from its body instantly eroded through the wooden sword, and the wielder of the sword was knocked flying as he threw up a mouthful of blood.
Jiang Xiangyang tumbled to the ground, but a smile appeared on his face. “Hehe, my death day? I’ve come here today to lure you out! Master!”
As if on cue, a man in a green daoist robe appeared atop a sword.
The Zombie King’s expression s.h.i.+fted drastically. “The elder of the Shangqing Sect, Xun Han!”
Xun Han chortled with glee. “You’ve fallen into our trap, Crimson Claw Zombie King, you won’t be able to get away, so just give up now!”
An Lin clicked his tongue in wonder as he surveyed this battle in secret. So the daoist priest had a backer as well. Interesting…
Xun Han unleashed a powerful golden sword projection, which was imbued with the fiery power of yang, and it instantly tore through the Zombie King’s defenses before colliding with its body.
“Ahh…!” A ma.s.sive gash was torn into the Zombie King’s body, and it tumbled to the ground as its entire body caught on fire.
This was a battle between Spirit Nurturing Final Stage and Spirit Nurturing Initial Stage cultivators, so just one move was enough to be decisive.
Right at this moment, a seductive laugh suddenly sounded from the distance.
“Hehehehe… Xun Han, you killed my adorable subordinate, so now you finally get a chance to see me…”
A black mist suddenly appeared in the distance before enshrouding the two humans as an extremely powerful aura descended. Temperatures fell to below freezing; even the flames burning on the Zombie King’s body were snuffed out by the intense cold.
An Lin’s eyes immediately lit up upon seeing this.
His prey had finally appeared!!
Xun Han’s legs began to tremble upon hearing this voice, and his expression s.h.i.+fted drastically. “It’s you! The Zombie G.o.ddess of Changbai Mountain!”
