We left town to report the completion of the quest. Rifua seems to know where the Rivove families live in some way or other.
“There’s a forest north of Lake Elm, which is where they live.”
“Ah so? So you know where we need to exactly?”
“Well, I knew it before coming to this world, and therefore the real-time information seems to think that I do, but I’m really not sure how it all works.”
“It was different before?”
“Before it was a forest far away from the town. But the forest seems to have moved. Hii-chan should be be able to get there in day.”
That Hii-chan is surprisingly fast. I call her back from whatever far off place she’s run off to. She is fast.
“Rar!”
She opened her mouth suddenly to reveal a small pile of crystal cores on her tongue. What’s this… there’s one, two, three, sixteen of them. How did she get them? Several monster bodies fell down from the direction that Hii-chan had come from. Oh, she went hunting. The quality of the cores was quite poor. Their colors were red, blue, and grey.
“Red cores are 1000 rin, blue are 100 rin, and greys are 10 rin.”
“So if we sell these, it would pretty much amount to pocket money, then?”
I patted Hii-chan on the head.
“Although Rifua is a spendthrift, Hii-chan is great.”
“Rar, rar♪”
“Wait a minute! Listen to the voice of my heart!”
c.r.a.p. Uttered from my mouth.
I pacify Rifua’s bad mood, and then we rode Hii-chan to the north. Along the way, I recognised a certain small form ahead of us. Hearing Hii-chan’s footsteps behind them, they turned around.
“Waaa!? D-dragon!?” Elly-chan was surprised and fell on her bottom.
“He~y!”
“O-oniichan!”
I had Hii-chan stop and I jumped off of her.
“What’s the matter?”
“I’m returning to my home. It’s in that direction.” Elly-chan points in the same direction that I’m facing, to the north. Elf….. home….. same direction.
“Elly-chan, do you know the Rivove families?”
“I know it because it’s my family!”
“We are heading to the same place to meet with the head of your family, Elly-chan.”
“Really? Then let me guide you there.”
I gave Hii-chan another pinego from the item box in order to get her to allow another pa.s.senger. Thanks to that Elly-chan was able to ride as well without any mishaps.
“Are you all set, sweetie?”
“I’m okay, aside from…. um, the shaking…….”
Because my navigator the G.o.ddess was suffering from dragon-induced motion sickness, I followed Elly-chan’s shortcut.
Thanks to Elly-chan’s advice, we arrived at the entrance to the forest much more quickly than planned. A party consisting of a commoner, a G.o.ddess, a loli-elf, and a dragon entered the forest.
Her navigation was perfect, and we didn’t get lost at all.
“I don’t see any monsters or animals around here. The path is easy to walk on, as well.”
When Rifua says that she is recovered from motion-sickness, Elly-chan could proudly say she was as well.
“That’s true. It’s really hard to live in and maintain a natural forest.”
“So, are elves a long-lived race with an affinity for archery and have pointed ears?”
“Right. They also have a greater affinity for magic than most humans, and are more beautiful as well.”
“Elly-chan is also cute.”
“Oho, thank you, Nii-chan.”
“Such an excuse for a little girl? Lolicon-pervert-virgin!”
“It was just an impression.”
“Although her growth is slower, her age is the same as yours, Jinta.”
“Are you serious?”
Is it legal, then? I’m not sure if I want to go in that direction in my mind.
Furthermore, as we went deeper into the forest I saw a small village. There’s an elven man standing guard at the entrance. So he is a handsome man, after all.
“Elly, you’re back! Did you find your father’s bow?”
“I’m back! Here it is!”
“That’s good. Who are these people…….? Ah, a dragon!”
I tell the surprised elf “It’s alright. I’ve trained her properly not to attack.” I then told her “Thank you for waiting at the entrance, Hii-chan.” Because I was worried thing might get out of hand if she entered. She looks lonely. I’ll give her a pinego later.
“Nii-chan got Father’s bow back for me!”
“Thank you for taking care of Elly. You have our grat.i.tude.”
“We didn’t do anything that important.”
Did you really not do anything?
“We came to meet Weig Rivove, in order to turn in a quest.”
“So the…. Behemoth has been subjugated?”
“That’s right. Here’s a scale, and an appraisal of it.”
The elf sees it and “Aa…. Aah Ah…” and shows delight and raised astonishment.
“The long-cherished dream of my whole family has finally been achieved! Thank you very much.”
“Eh? Aah, yes.”
“I will guide you to the family head. Is there anyone accompanying you?”
When I nodded, Elly-chan pulled down on my hand. She whispered with a hand held against her the side of her mouth.“Nii-chan, wait.”
What’s this? I bend over close to Elly-chan to let her speak into my ear.
“For Father’s bow, thank you very much!” She kisses me on the cheek, and it feels soft to the touch.
“—-?”
“Later! I have to go home now!”
Elly-chan shouldered the bow and ran off in another direction. ….. just now, she kissed my cheek?
“Lolicons should die!”
As I stand up, there is a shock to my rear end.
“What!? Why did you kick me!?”
“Because you’re smiling thoughtlessly!”
The elf agrees as well.
“Don’t be a Lolicon, Lolicon.” A grumpy Rifua is in a foul mood. What was there to be angry about?
I’m led further into the village. All of the houses were made of wood, which still had some sense of newness. An excellent house deeper in seems to be the home of Weig, the family head.
“Here is the home of the Patriarch. ……concerning the matter of the behemoth, thank you very much.”
When the elf shook hands with me, he nodded and left.
Why are you so grateful? Will I be able to ask Weig about it?
“Good day, I’m here to report about the quest—-” I knocked at the door– and 30 minutes later a young lady answered it.
