1. You must understand and accept the concept of TIME. There"s a time for everything in life, either to build or to heal. 3. Surround yourself with ACHIEVERS. If there"s anyone you need in your quest for mental toughness this year, it is someone who has walked the path you are currently threading and has come out victorious. That is the kind of people you must surround yourself with this year. Their counsel isn"t absolute but it"s worthy to be considered and probably developed upon. If you have a toothache, who do you go to? Is it not a dentist? If you go to a cobbler, then you definitely have an idea of how that will end. Because achievers are a group of tough people who probably had gone through worse things than you are going through, people who have moved mountains, they will encourage you to succeed, either with their words or actions.
4. HOPE for the best always.
Hopelessness is the reason why many people lose the will to fight on. When hope is lost, defeat is inevitable. To be tough mentally, to remain strong in your thoughts and actions despite current challenges, you must build your hope platform to an acceptable level. The hope I am referring to here is the unwavering belief that you will experience a positive outcome at the end notwithstanding. To continue to stay hopeful you have to follow a code, a pattern that will encourage you rather than discourage you. Many things help one to remain hopeful, but one of the most important one is to always be around people who are travelling on the same journey with you. Look for mentors and co-builders. Whether in your career, business, profession etc., always walk with like minds. It emboldens you. That"s why wolves move in packs, together they achieve tasks quickly and faster. You also must cultivate the habit of reading biographies and tributes written about great men and women who helped the cause of humanity through one wonderful initiative or the other, this will renew your hope daily that you can be successful as well.

5. Support and give to a worthy CAUSE.
Nothing strengthens your resolve more than joining or starting a worthy cause, especially when it touches lives and eases pain. What it does for you is to give you an inner strength that you can achieve the unthinkable. Words of encouragement and prayers from beneficiaries will let you
realize that life is more important than the challenges facing you. It will also give you hope that there is a brighter tomorrow. What people need to know about giving is that you draw strength more than pain from the act.
