Chapter 941: Celestial Body
In the instant that Yao Yu’s enchanting Fallen Seraph form appeared, the entire battle arena seemed to boil over. No one had imagined that such a change would occur during the battle.
As ancient martial arts pract.i.tioners, everyone was highly knowledgeable and had seen many things, but very few people knew about the Fallen Angel race. Unless they had done extensive research on the superpowered people of the western world, it would be very difficult for them to recognize a Fallen Angel at a glance.
As for Yao Yu, she was also not an ordinary Fallen Angel, but a royal among them. Strictly speaking, there were many traits that differentiated the bloodlines of Fallen Angels. The most obvious one was in their eyes. When the royal Angels showed their battle form, their eyes became a deep purplish gold, and looked n.o.ble, cold and deep.
“That’s a foreign race from the western world. I knew that the western world had many foreign races, but this is my first time encountering one. That figure and form is almost similar to that of the legendary female demon G.o.ddesses!”
“A Fallen Angel! That is a Fallen Angel. I have traveled to 34 western countries and know something about these. Who would have imagined that Yao Yu was actually from the Fallen Angel clan? However, rumor has it that purebred Fallen Angels in the Demon G.o.ds Alliance are rather rare. They are n.o.ble and rarely manifest before ordinary people. Most of the Fallen Angels that appear are actually mostly mixed-blood descendants that do not have pure bloodlines. Strictly speaking, they are not pure Fallen Angels.”
“That Yao Yu is so incredible. She is probably a pureblood Fallen Angel.”
“So beautiful. She is practically a G.o.ddess. I feel as though even my soul is being drawn to her.”
…
Mo Wen looked at Yao Yu, who had gone through a huge change. He was speechless. He knew that she was hiding some extraordinary techniques, but he had not imagined that she would give him such a big surprise. Setting aside Yao Yu’s Fallen Angel ident.i.ty, her current aura alone was already frightening to the extreme.
How could she possibly have become twice as strong? That meant that, under normal circ.u.mstances, even a few Mo Wen’s combined would be no match for her. No wonder Yao Yu was so confident and dared to openly set up a challenge ring in Dragon City. Yet, of the younger generation of Hua Xia Country, it would most likely be difficult for even the Primordial Soul realm strong pract.i.tioners of the older generation to win against her.
“Mo Wen, you are unpleasant to look at. I want to give you a beating in my wrath. Will you let me?”
Yao Yu slowly walked out of the swirl. A seductive smile hung from the corners of her mouth. She seemed to believe that she had once again claimed an absolute advantage; hence, she had gotten her enchanting demeanor back. If Yao Yu displayed this att.i.tude, someone was bound to have a bad day.
“Beating me is a sign of affection, and cursing is a sign of love. If Miss Yao Yu so urgently wants to mess with me, how can I refuse? Come, let us ‘love’ each other properly.”
Mo Wen opened his arms. He looked as though he was ready to embrace everything. It seemed as though he was waiting for Yao Yu to come over for them to “love” each other.
“I’m coming.”
A cold light flashed across Yao Yu’s eyes. She had long been unable to resist wanting to furiously step on that shameless and treacherous face.
However, Yao Yu had just taken a step when she suddenly stopped. She looked at Mo Wen with a surprised look, as though she had encountered something unbelievable.
Mo Wen still stood in his original spot with his arms open to embrace everything. But his aura had changed. An ancient, wild and magnificent energy enveloped the land. The aura seemed to come from the most ancient of eras, carrying the ruthlessness and desolation of time. What people saw was that Mo Wen’s figure seemed to have grown larger, surpa.s.sing five meters in the blink of an eye. The muscles on his body seemed to bulge, on by one, like the hardest of rocks.
The most frightening part was that the images of a head and two arms appeared on Mo Wen’s figure. Together with Mo Wen’s own head and two arms, he bow seemed to have two heads and four arms. If he continued to change, Mo Wen would most likely become a two headed, four armed monster.
However, in the end, he did not change to have these many heads and arms. The images of the head and two arms became just slightly more tangible; they had not fully solidified into actual objects.
Mo Wen’s body released streaks of black lightning, which extended in a densely packed fas.h.i.+on through his surroundings like a spider web. The lightning contained an unparalleled destructive aura. It felt as though even the heavens and the earth would be destroyed by it.
The Celestial Body!
The technique that Mo Wen unleashed was the Celestial Body that he had learned in the primeval s.p.a.ce. Once he activated this secret technique, he could become a Celestial Giant. With an unparalleled body, built for battle, he could do battle with the heavens and the earth. There was nothing that he could not destroy.
Of course, right now, Mo Wen was still far from reaching that realm. He could not even materialize two heads and four arms, and only made images of them appear. However, even so, his aura had become several times more powerful. He was not weaker than Yao Yu at all.
The process of cultivating the Celestial Body was highly complicated, but its materialized form was very simple. It started with two heads and four arms, then three heads and six arms, and then four heads and eight arms, all the way up to the highest state with nine heads and eighteen arms. The deeper and more powerful his cultivation became, the more heads and arms he could materialize.
In the past, when the Heavenly Giant was doing battle with the primeval s.p.a.ce’s Heavenly Path, its most powerful state also had nine heads and eighteen arms. It ripped the heavens and earth apart. There was nothing it could not destroy.
The Celestial Body that Mo Wen cultivated was slightly different from that of the giant. The giant was born with three heads and six arms, so its process of cultivation was different, as it did not have two heads and four arms to start. Moreover, Mo Wen was different. He was human, so his Way of Practice for the Celestial Body was created via deduction using the Heaven and Earth trigram according to his body. Hence, there was an additional, intermittent level with two heads and four arms.
The frightening aspect of the Celestial Body began with three heads and six arms. After all, the giant’s initial state was a body with three and six.
Even so, with his Celestial Body, Mo Wen’s aura also increased several fold. He seemed to be noweaker than Yao Yu. His aura was even more frightening.
“What is that?”
In the battle arena, a look of surprise flashed past in Mo Qingge’s eyes. She looked at Mo Wen in astonishment. Even she felt that that this two-headed, four-armed form of his was highly extraordinary. It even produced an vague sense of oppression. Even she felt oppressed. What was that thing?
What remarkable power or secret technique, unleashed by an ancient martial arts pract.i.tioner below the Primordial Soul realm, could even make her feel oppressed? No matter how heaven-defying a remarkable power was, it was unlikely that it could do so – unless it was the legendary power of the Heavenly Path, which contained the frightening and remarkable power of the law of the Heavenly Path.
But if someone told her that Mo Wen could unleash the power of the law of the Heavenly Path, she would certainly not believe it. That was practically nonsense. In his current realm, it was impossible for him to cultivate anything related to the law of the Heavenly Path at all. Even she could not grasp such things, let alone Mo Wen. She would not be able cultivate it even if she were given a Heavenly Path remarkable power.
But Mo Qingge did not know that Mo Wen had the Heaven and Earth trigram, and that it had used him as a blueprint to deduce the Heavenly Path body-refining secret technique that was most suitable for him to cultivate.
“Elder sister, Mo Wen’s aura has grown several times more powerful. The thing that he unleashed seems somewhat similar to a magical remarkable power, and also resembles a body-refining remarkable power. Regardless of what it is, by right, we should not be in the dark about two types of remarkable powers that can have such effects.”
Mo Qingtian’s expression turned serious. They had never before heard of or seen the remarkable power that Mo Wen had unleashed. It seemed similar to a few absolute remarkable powers of legend; however, after observing him carefully, that did not seem to be what it ws.
“Mo Wen might have had some fateful encounter in the primeval s.p.a.ce.”
Mo Qingge frowned. Before this, Mo Wen definitely had not possessed this remarkable power. The only explanation was that Mo Wen had a huge encounter in the primeval s.p.a.ce. Everything was possible in the world created by the Sacred Heart Lady.
“The current toughness of Mo Wen’s body may be comparable to that of an ordinary profound level weapon. Ordinary Primordial Soul realm cultivators would most likely not be able to penetrate through his defense system. Such a terrifying, remarkable power. Our estimate of Mo Wen’s abilities will probably be proven wrong again,” Mo Qingtian said with a bitter smile.
As long as he had known Mo Wen, he had tried to estimate Mo Wen’s ability every time they met. However, during their next meeting, he always discovered that, no matter how high of a baseline he set last time, Mo Wen would ruthlessly overturn it in the end. Mo Qingtian’s expectations of Mo Wen’s abilities rose continuously as his deduction was proven wrong each time.
“This is becoming more and more interesting. It is hard to say who will emerge victorious in this battle between the two of them,” Mo Qingge said with a smile.
Initially, she hadn’t had high hopes for Mo Wen after she found out Yao Yu’s ident.i.ty. But he had surprised her.
The spectators in the battle arena were all stupefied. First, Yao Yu underwent an astonis.h.i.+ng transformation. Now, it was Mo Wen’s turn. The battle between Mo Wen and Yao Yu was getting more intense as both of them refused to give in.
“Such a terrifying aura. That black thunder seems like it could destroy the world. Even though we are separated by a layer of s.p.a.ce, I don’t feel well. I feel as though my body will fall apart any second.”
“Mo Wen is indeed the most outstanding youth pract.i.tioner in Hua Xia Country. His aura is probably comparable to that of mighty ancient martial arts pract.i.tioners at the Primordial Soul realm.”
“Yao Yu, this evil woman! Earlier, she was obviously trying to trick our Hua Xia Country number-one youth master. Thankfully, Mo Wen lives up to our expectation. The ending of this battle is still unknown.”
…
“What is that power of yours?”
Yao Yu paused and stared at Mo Wen fearfully. Mo Wen’s aura made her feel frightened and oppressed.
She was afraid. It was a feeling that Yao Yu had not felt for a very long time. She had not imagined that a youth from Hua Xia Country could actually give her this sensation. Her instincts told her that the current Mo Wen could threaten her life.
“I call it the Celestial Body. You are the first person to ever have encountered it.”
Mo Wen spoke calmly. He didn’t raise his voice, yet the words sounded like thunder after they left his mouth. His voice reverberated in the heavens and the earth.
He had stayed in the primeval s.p.a.ce for over ten years in order to cultivate the Celestial Body. He had put in an enormous amount of time and effort to refine this skill. Now that he had successfully mastered the Celestial Body and returned, Yao Yu would be the first person he tested this skill on. Moreover, Yao Yu indeed was qualified to be his test subject.
“The Celestial Body! Very well, let me find out whether your Celestial Body or my Supreme Demonic Body is stronger.”
Yao Yu coldly snorted. She took a step forward and appeared in front of Mo Wen right away. She sent out a simple punch, nothing fancy or out-of-the-ordinary. However, the entire heavens and the earth seemed to coalesce in her strike. Endless dark, demonic power gathered, forming a meteor-like trail and cras.h.i.+ng ferociously towards Mo Wen.
Not to be outdone, the black thunder on Mo Wen’s body exploded. He also sent out a simple punch to collide with Yao Yu’s.
There wasn’t any sound. The heavens and the earth seemed to have been silenced for a moment. Then, Yao Yu’s body shook slightly, retreating quietly back a few hundred meters.
Yao Yu was shocked. For the first time, she was on the short end of the stick when battling Mo Wen. It seemed to her that Mo Wen was not human; rather, he was like a mountain – a staunch mountain.
