Ming Ren headed to the forest called "The Wandering Wood", a common spot for Spirit Beast Hunters and anyone willing to brave its dangers. While the level of the beasts on the outer perimeter was not high, deep into it fearsome Spirit Beasts and beings made their lair. Most solo hunters avoided going deep at all costs and hunted the weaker creatures. They still provided an excellent meal and had their skins sold for coins. The beasts only formed their cores at their Spirit Realm equivalent, when their value and power greatly enhanced.
Spirit Beasts were fearsome not only because of their fighting prowess. Many, although limited in intelligence, possessed unconventional means and mysterious skills that augmented their threat.
At first, he was determined to rush through it at the fastest speed, but now he wasn"t sure. For him, the memories of the clan and his parents were as fresh as yesterday, but in fact, they happened many years ago. Even if he rushed to the Jade Clan, what guarantee did he have that his mother would be there?
What if his mother or the other members of the clan didn"t leave for another province but instead stayed hidden? For whatever reason he was left there, so his mother should have gone back there or at least know he was in the Cloud Clan.
Ming Ren was also too weak. He had knowledge and experience but low cultivation. His techniques weren"t enough. As someone that saw the myriad of mysteries and techniques, how could he be satisfied with the current Arts of the Bright Clan? Formidable in the past, declined in the present.
He couldn"t make a decision right away so instead thought of a secret spot. Ming Ren, Bai Xun, and Yun Shufen explored many places before, including this forest. They never ventured deep but found a cave that belonged to some senior and had a good foundation for cultivation. It was in an area with a slightly higher spiritual energy.
Ming Ren headed there, and as expected, it was still hidden. For any reason, monsters wouldn"t go near. After checking if the cave was still safe, he found out it hadn"t been used since last time. He sat cross-legged and circulated Qi inside his body, checking once more his [One Breath Luminescence] Law.
Ming Ren shook his head. It would be a waste if he built his foundation using this sort of low-grade cultivation law.
Just how were techniques created by those seniors anyway?
Repeating the same move over and over and consolidating different principles?
Acquiring mysteries of the world and imbuing them into the technique?
How do cultivation laws work?
He learned inside the Bright Sculpture that Cultivation Laws were merely rules. How one should breathe in and out, how one should circulate the Qi inside their bodies, how should one wash his marrow and clean his impurities, how can one strength their bodies to the limit.
The difficult part was condensing the final step of the Law into something that contained the Strenght of the Rule of Heaven. Someone at the Body Tempering Realm would not be able to do it. It was above the Spirit Gate Realm.
A middle-grade human realm law like the One Breath Luminescence only had general guidelines and not specific ones. Aside from that, there could be cultivators with different characteristics and flaws, reducing its effectiveness and creating the so-called Bottlenecks.
If mistakes were made during the cultivation it could also be disastrous.
The greatest Cultivation Law would be one tailored for yourself, which is why those supreme seniors create them after reaching the Apex.
But Ming Ren was different!
He had the experience of a thousand lifetimes. Even if he couldn"t recall the complete knowledge and the realm he reached inside right away, it will eventually be a.s.similated into his being.
He could transform the Law from the ground up to suit his needs. Having decided what to do, Ming Ren started to fix the flaws in the One Breath Luminescence.
Ming Ren roughly divided Cultivation Law Merits into Qi Gathering Speed, Qi Distribution Precision, Internal Spirit Energy Conversion to External Spirit Energy, Qi Might, and Potential of Body Strengthening. They were all interlinked and dependant on each other.
Qi Gathering Speed related to breathing control and the maximum amount of the Qi of Heaven and Earth that the cultivator could gather at one breath using the Law. Normal techniques were common but more advanced ones needed the strength of principles and other mysteries, so obviously the higher the grade and realm of the Law the higher amount of Qi it could gather.
Qi Distribution Precision related to how well the creator of the technique understood anatomy, the meridians and the flow of Qi and how precise the technique distributes it through all the channels and organs inside the body. This was directly linked to knowledge, so higher grade techniques were not necessarily better than lower grade ones. Besides, this part could be tailored to each different cultivator, since bodies could have been different from birth due to defects or other situations, like birth injuries.
Internal Spirit Energy Conversion to External Spirit Energy was not present in Body Tempering Realm laws, as External Spirit Energy was only used from the Spirit Realm and above. Like Qi gathering speed, normal techniques were common and advanced ones needed help from principles or other sources. This was extremely important for cultivators since it determines the actual rate someone could cultivate and also the quality of the energy present.
Some types of energy needed specific forms of conversion and the rarest ones could be extremely complicated. Those supreme powerhouses often simplified their cultivation laws to let disciples of the lower realm practice. The best technique was able to produce energy of great purity.
Qi Might was simply the amount of power the Cultivation Law could generate through the acc.u.mulated Spirit Energy in the Spirit Sea. This power could be transferred to a technique or simply used as external energy. A cultivator could also use other means, such as burning his life essence, to temporarily increase the Qi Might his cultivation technique was capable.
Potential of Body Strengthening commanded the ways in which the body was strengthened, such as washing the marrow, cleansing impurities, and enhancing tendons and bones.
This, without a doubt, was the most important aspect of a Cultivation Law of the Body Tempering Realm.
Without a solid foundation and an extremely tyrannical body, one could not become an existence that towered over all others.
The One Breath Luminescence Art of the Bright Clan was lacking in all areas. It was considered Middle-Grade Human Tier because Qi Gathering Speed reached middle grade, Qi Might and Body Strengthening low-grade, but Qi Distribution was actually Peak grade. Of course, all of the gradings were only related to the human tier. To the earth Tier and above it would be considered trash.
It was called One Breath Luminescence because it also had an innate connection to the True Element of Light and therefore would be well suited to cultivators that awakened it.
Ming Ren first breathed through the technique once and easily corrected the mistakes on the breathing steps, taking the Qi Gathering to the Perfection Stage. No advanced steps were needed since it was only a technique at the Body Tempering Realm.
Next, he circulated the Qi inside his body and was fairly happy with the precision, worthy of being peak grade at that tier. He took it one step further, modifying it to match his const.i.tution and turning it into Perfect Grade Qi Distribution.
Next, he got up and executed the Bright Fist Art of his clan. Ming Ren took notice of the path the Qi took inside the body and mapped the best way through the channels, lowering the lost energy in response. He still hadn"t cleared all his meridians, but the technique itself had no problems. From breathing to the distribution and transference to the techniques, it was flawless.
The last step was also the most time-consuming. To change how the body was tempered meant he would need to chose where the Spirit Energy would focus the most. Ming Ren evenly distributed the flow of Qi to every important organ and parts of the body, strengthening them as a whole. This meant this technique could temper the body to a tyrannical level, but it would also need much more Energy in response.
Even with the Improved Qi Gathering, it would still take a long time to reinforce the body as he wanted. If the technique was high level and he had access to conversion and a complete Spirit Sea, it would first need to transform the energy into Pure Spirit Energy and then use it to improve the body. He could always strengthen the tempering further in other realms.
Having turned all the points into Perfect Grades, Ming Ren finally finished improving the One Breath Luminescence as best he could currently. Sitting cross-legged again he circulated the Qi one more timeā¦
...Reaching frightening speed!
The One Breath Luminesce Cultivation Law reached the peak of the Heaven-Grade, an almost perfect cultivation law.
If other cultivators knew it only took Ming Ren a day to completely overhaul a middle grade-human tier law into a heaven-grade one, would they die on the spot?
Of course, in the Bright Scripture, he experienced much more tyrannical Cultivation Laws, but all of those were made by Seniors with access to a lot more resources and powers.
In the lower realms, together with his Dragon Light Divine Body Physique, he would not be below anyone.
As for his unique physique, it was called that way because it was an innate light element physique that needed an enormous amount of experience and knowledge to activate. The True Light Dragons were beings that regarded knowledge and experience as their greatest goal, and their Dragon Light was capable of completely remolding the human body.
Moreover, when activated at the greatest level it emitted a Bright Light capable of blinding the universe, such as he saw at the hands of the Bright Senior. Ming Ren had not only the One Breath Luminescence Law with an innate connection to the True Element Of Light but also a tyrannical Innate Physique.
All of this would be the true inheritance of the Bright Clan. When it was at its peak, just how domineering was the Clan in the Upper Realms?
Ming Ren had only cultivated for half an hour when he broke through to the Fifth Layer of the Body Tempering Realm, something he could not do in four years!
