The boy didn"t reply anything back to Medusa, then take a sip of his wine and continue with his story."Anyways, the family was able to stay inside of the house after they accepted the offer from the creature. However, the first family is jealous of the second one forgetting the fact that they have the same opportunity. That is humanity; people will always be jealous of someone if they are doing good surpa.s.sing the fact that the person has put a lot of work into what his success. Therefore, because of jealousy the first family man up and walk into the house to ask the creature for a second offer, hoping the creature might change the offer to a lighter one for them."
"On one is the good person here; they all want to get the best but don"t want to put anything in!" Medusa cuts the story and comments.
"Oh well, that"s just how life works. Some people work hard for their success, and some people will complain and looking for a shortcut for the same success." The boy didn"t mind Medusa cutting off his story and replies.
"That"s why I hate people." Medusa looks away.
"Oh…? That"s good to hear." The boy is shocked to hear Medusa"s opinion shifts, but that"s what he is hoping for her to do.
"The first family went into the house and looked around the house searching for the creature and also the second family. Not too long the first family walks to get into the house; the creature rises from the ground just like the first time. The creature didn"t seem like they get annoyed by this family coming in again. Then the same creature opens its mouth and asks, "what are you doing in our house!". Even though what the creature said has no sign of welcoming but neither did it sound mad. Then the family asks frighteningly, "Me and my family wants a place to stay warm because it is freezing outside, so I"m asking you if we can stay?"." The boy stops for a wine sipping break because his mouth is dry from all the talking, then continues,
"After a few moments the creature replies with an offer, but this time the offer has changed." The boy stops and looks at Medusa then asks,
"What do you think the offer is this time?"
"Is he going to ask them for their kids again?" Medusa guesses.
"Oh, oh, oh, silly girl! Second chances are always way more bitter to suffer through than the first!" The boy laughs.
"No, the creature did not make the same offer to this family as the second family. Instead, the creature offers an even more ma.s.sive deal with them. The creature said, "We"ll let you stay if you can give me a woman and a child.". The man of the family, the father, looks the creature angrily in its eyes; if eye contact can kill, the creature is already dead like twenty times. The father screams at the creature furiously, "What! Are you insane! Why are you changing the offers?!". Then the creature calmly replies, "Because it is my deal; I can make whatever offer I please to make.". The father refuses, "You can"t do that! It is not fair!". The creature looked at the window of the father"s soul and said, "I can!". This time the creature is angry; he wants to eat this ignorant family alive to calm its soul. The group of creatures opens their mouth trying to fit all three people into their mouth. The family takes off as soon as they see the creatures are opening their mouths; fortunately, the door did not shut this time. Therefore, the family can make it out alive through the door. When the family steps their foot outside of the door, the creatures just quietly stop chasing and slowly goes back into the group as nothing happen." The boy pauses, waits for Medusa to comment what he just said.
"...The creature should of catch up and eat all of them, including the second family that just went in!" Medusa angrily comments.
"Hahaha! Why?" The boy takes a sip of his wine and asks.
"Why?! All of these people don"t deserve to die! The first family that wants to go back inside obviously wants to trade in their kid! The second family! Ha! They are all bad people!" Medusa viciously said.
"Oh! Interesting point there! But let"s wait and see what"s next." The boy replies with compliments then go on with the story,
"Interesting that you did not ask me why the creature stop chasing after the family got out of the house; but it doesn"t matter, I"m going to explain to you now anyway. The reason the creature stops chasing is that the creatures are cursed by the G.o.d that creates this world." The boy peeks at Medusa to see if she"ll react what he said. However, Medusa sits in her chair quietly waiting for the boy to continue the story.
"So~" The boy extends the vowels of the word, "This world did not come out from nowhere. Everything that exists is created by something. Humans built the houses; the tools that human also created human uses. Humans created Even human themselves. However, the first human is not a creation of humans. Instead, they were one of the establishment that a species call G.o.d created." The boy takes a sip of the wine and goes back into explaining.
"This species is extremely intelligent; they can create, destroy, and protect; just like the humans. This species"s life purpose is to create and destroy. The protecting part...is only for themselves; they compete against each other by creating newer and better worlds. They are immortal, so the only way to win is to destroy their opponent"s planets. Since this species is too smart, their creation often turns their back on them and betray them. Therefore, the G.o.ds put spells, curses on the ones that reveal them. The creatures that live in that house are the traitors; G.o.d is too kind to erase them from this world, so the only way to protect its world and itself is to restrict these creatures in one place and let them extinct by themselves."
"Do you think you are one of these traitors?" The boy squints his eyes and asks.
"..." Medusa did not answer; she had fallen into a deep silence and wonders the question.
"Do you feel like you are cursed?" The boy asks again.
"..." Still no reply, complete silence in the house.
"Do you feel like "G.o.d" has abandoned you and trap you in a place you don"t want to be in?" The boy continues to push Medusa to her edge.
"You are creation or a slave?" The boy takes a sip of his wine gently asks.
"Do you think you are being protected or tortured?"
"Are you happy?"
"Do you want to be free or keep getting control by the curse "G.o.d" has cast on you?"
"Answer me!" The boy raises his voice.
"Do you want to get out of you written fate?!"
"Or do you want to die knowing you are worthless?"
"Answer me now Medusa!" The boy increases his volume.
"Do you want to fight or flight?!"
"Do you want to be a creator or a creation?!"
"Kill or being kill?"
"Answer me now!" The boy loses his control and shouts hysterically.
"...I...I..." Medusa stutters because she is having a mental battle in her head, and everything is happening so quick leaving her no time to think.
"No, I"s! Answer me! A creator of your destiny or a creation living under G.o.d"s control! The boy keeps shouting.
"I..." Medusa opens her mouth and said.
