Chapter 12: Explanation for the past
Hearing Sunni’s words, Chang Jing immediately relaxed. Shrugging, shee spoke, “Thats the game of the higher ups, it shouldn’t concern us, should it?”
Yin Ying did not speak, he just nodded.
Sunni’s gaze landed on Qian Ye’s body, “It concerns us, but only a bit. We don’t have to care why this child survived, we just have to care about what to do with him now. Give him the normal training in accordance to the regulations. If he wants to survive, he can only rely on himself. Even if he does, it does not concern Acheron.”
After some silence, Sunni continued, “No matter what, we will treat the Force Despoiling as nothing. No matter who did it, it doesn’t concern Acheron. If that person wants to find trouble with us, we still have nothing to fear! No need to worry about this matter, this is the minister’s wish.”
At this moment, Chang Jing changed her absentminded expression into shock. Everyone was shocked as well, she asked, “The minister is back?”
Sunni did not reply, but simply slightly nodded his head.
The teachers here all revealed excited expressions, Long Hai even smiled sillily.
Director Sun walked around Qian Ye and spoke, “However, giving him a bit of care now is fine, or he’ll probably not survive this. This timing is quite bad, to have him die now would make us Acheron seem fearful of that family! En, I’ve already inspected his body, the Bing Yue Exercise’s method of attacking the Qihai Node needs some tweaking, when this kid wakes up, Chang Jing, you explain it to him like this!”
“Alright.”
Sunni nodded before he turned to leave.
After the teachers glanced at each other, Shen Tu started to treat Qian Ye.
At this moment, a hint of pity appeared in Chang Jing’s gaze towards Qian Ye. This was actually an extremely talented child whose talent caused himself to be targeted, resulting in the taboo act of Force Despoiling!
A pity that it was too late, even the most talented of beings would become mediocre after Force despoiling, and will eventually only amount to a normal cultivator.
When Qian Ye woke up, he immediately noticed how the sights he saw was familiar, he was on the gold platform of the biology cla.s.s. His heart immediately thumped, if it weren’t for the fact that his body was still numb, he would have accidently fell off the platform from his jerk.
He immediately felt a hot feeling from his chest, throbs of pain washing over him occasionally.
“You woke up? Come down yourself!”
Turning around, he saw Chang Jing’s back was currently facing him. Her upper body was laying on one of the experiment table as she wrote something nonstop, the curve of her back extremely attractive.
After wiggling his fingers, Qian Ye barely managed to sit up before getting off the platform. However, the moment his feet landed on the ground, his body went soft as he collapsed onto the ground.
With a sound of surprise escaping her lips, Chang Jing suddenly understood, “I forgot that you still have anesthesic in your body.”
Walking over, Chang Jing helped Qian Ye up and placed him onto a chair before pa.s.sing him a piece of paper. She spoke, “Memorise this at this place, ask me anything you’re unsure of. You can only read this here, bringing it out is not allowed.”
Chang Jing’s unexpected kindness did not make Qian Ye comfortable, on the contrary, he felt unease. She was definitely not as gentle as she seemed to be right now, she was a vicious woman who even Long Hai avoided.
A formula was described on the paper. In only a whole, Qian Ye understood what it was. This was an edited version of the Bing Yue Exercise, it talked about the attack on the Qihai Node.
“From today onwards, use this cultivation method until you’ve lit your Qihai Node. However, there may be slight pain in the process. If there’s other uncomfortable effects, you can come to my living quarters to find me. I will inform the guards to allow you to enter.”
After speaking, Chang Jing left the room, leaving Qian Ye by himself to memorise the formula.
After half an hour, Qian Ye finished memorising and followed Chang Jing’s instructions to rip the formula apart into shreds before placing it on the table and leaving.
Chang Jing’s living quarters was not far from the camp. Pa.s.sing through the forest, Qian Ye suddenly noticed Song Zining resting against a tree as he looked upwards at the sky.
Following his eyes, Qian Ye looked up as well, but it was just the normal blue sky above them with clouds dotting it, nothing else present, not even a bird.
“What are you looking at?” Qian Ye asked curiously.
“The road and the future.” Song Zining gave a surprising answer.
Qian Ye knew what the word, “Future” was, but he did not know what the road meant.
Before Qian Ye could reply, Song Zining asked nonchantly, “Are you Okay?”
After slight hesitation, Qian Ye replied, “The teacher said theres a problem with my original cultivation method and had helped me edit it.”
A slightly panicking expression appeared on Song Zining’s face as he asked, “Which teacher?”
“Chang Jing.”
“Then it’s fine!” Song Zining’s expression relaxed, “Don’t sorry, everyone has different qualities, using a set cultivation method may not be sutible for some, if there was any problems, the method would naturally be tweaked. Chang Jing is not simple, if she’s the one teaching you on cultivation, it will be nothing but beneficial. But,”
Seeing how Song Zining wanted to say something, but somehow couldn’t, Qian Ye hurriedly asked, “But what?”
Song Zining did not reply, he simply looked up and down at Qian Ye with interest before speaking, “Nothing, you’ll know then. Hehe!”
He laughed rather strangely before leaving, ignoring Qian Ye.
Looking at the silhouette of the leaving Song Zining, Qian Ye was full of doubt. He wouldn’t have came all the way here just to look at the future and road in the sky. Perhaps he was worried about something and came here to wait for Qian Ye?
Despite being able to secure the top position for a few months, the children behind Song Zining were hot on his tail. The cultivation times were extremely precious in this place, without hardwork, one would easily be left behind. In the hearts of the children, the most important things to them were time and the Zhu Yan Blood.
Therefore, Qian Ye placed the back view of Song Zining deep into his heart.
Some things were better left unsaid, when the time came, one would naturally understand.
This was the first time they spoke so much with each other in these few months. Many things Song Zining talked about, Qian Ye had never heard about before. It seemed that this child’s ident.i.ty was not as simple as his introduction.
Looking at the time, Qian Ye noticed that there was only ten minutes left to the next lesson. Therefore, he quickened his pace and rushed to the small valley in front.
When the smell of the Zhu Yan blood surrounded him, Qian Ye had entered an eternal state and started cultivating. This time, he slowly led the Force waves according to the new formula, slowly inching towards the Qihai Node at his chest.
But the moment the Force waves entered the scar area, it was like it had entered a road made of mud, every movement was hard and arduous. The movement of the force at his scar area was like having a metal brush rubbing his scar raw, the intense pain almost causing Qian Ye to faint yet again.
The newly edited Bing Yue Exercise indeed reduced the pain he felt, allowing Qian Ye to stay consious.
Hate and resolution permeated his bones as Qian Ye gritted his teeth and bared the pain without making a single sound. But quickly, he noticed that not only was there intense pain created at his injury, the speed of the Force moving was slowed as well, decreasing the strength of his Force. He could only acc.u.mulate a thicker amount Force to match his usual strength for attacking.
But heavier movement meant even more pain.
Qian Ye could only bear it as he tried to ignore the senses of his body. The pain was something normal humans couldnt withstand, and after only half an hour pa.s.sing, Qian Ye could not hold on anymore, his body was too weak.
But this cultivation did reap some rewards, his Force did increase, just in an incredibly slow speed. Rubbing the scar at his chest, darkness appeared in his heart. He did not know who left such a scar on him, but until now, it has been affecting his fate and his life, dragging him through the mud and into the abyss!
At night, the children had a short amount of free time. This was the time to learn something or train. This was the little freedom the children received, they could control the development of their future’s path.
Qian Ye chose to go to Chang Jing. The guards who had received her instructions did not stop him.
Chang Jing lived by herself in her courtyard, the buildings here were different from the ones in the camp, where the only materials were greenstone and gold. The entire yard had a retro empire style, the main building a corniced two floor building with an elegant theme.
Just by looking around, one could tell she was different from the other teachers. Long Hai and the others lived in an apartment building with an exterior that resembled a steel box.
Just after he rose his hand to gently knock the copper lion ring on the door, Chang Jing’s voice could be heard, “The door isn’t locked, just enter.”
Walking through the yard and into the house, Qian Ye carefully avoided anything and everything.
Chang Jing was not in the living room, but she was instead in the bedroom where the sounds of rushing water could be heard, she was taking a bath.
Qian Ye did not feel annoyed at all, he simply stood here. He had already learnt patience and obedience in these few years. Before he was given an order, staying still was the best choice.
After a while, Chang Jing walked out from the room with only a bathrobe covering herself. Glancing at Qian Ye, she slumped on her couch.
Her bathrobe seemed to be rather small, it was short as well, too short to cover her extremely long, snow white legs. Her plump chest that was squeezed in the robe seemingly threatening to spill out at any moment.
In Qian Ye’s eyes, those two long legs seemed very attractive, their every movement was like a light flashing in front of his eyes.
Children who grew up in wars and the countryside matured very quickly, before the empire was created, humankind had produced soldiers for war nonstop, constantly pushing the age of marriage forwards. For the survival of mankind, the human body adapted to mature faster and faster, and now, even fourteen year olds could create a family.
The ten years old Qian Ye was not considered too young. Furthermore, these children had practiced the explosiveness-oriented Bing Yue Exercise since young playing a role in changing their bodies. Biology cla.s.s had given them a very detailed enlightment regarding the human body.
But Chang Ying did not seem to know that Qian Ye was no longer an innocent child and carefreely stretched her back, causing her legs to straighten, almost revealing something that shouldn’t be seen.
As if his heart was smashed by a hammer, Qian Ye saw stars in his vision as his mind felt a little dizzy. It was as if the entire world had became different. But did the world change, or did he?
“Little Qian Ye, what are you here for?” Chang Jing asked lazily.
Qian Ye did not dare to look at her too much and quickly asked about the problems he came across while cultivating. He couldn’t tell if the pain he felt during cultivation was normal or abnormal.
Becoming slightly serious, she signalled at Qian Ye with her hands, “Come closer.”
