Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear

Chapter 464

Chapter 464

Bear-san, Heads To The Buildings With Seals.

‘Fu ~u’

I guess that’s it.

I defeated the last wyvern by releasing the bear magic, wind magic.

If you keep them away from the building, they’re not an opponent you can’t beat. It’s troublesome to fight them while protecting the seal inside the building. While dealing with wyverns, Volgla.s.s tried to enter the building. It would have been easier at times like this if Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear had been here.

Then I defeated the remaining Volgla.s.s and all the other monsters.

“It’s over.” (Yuna)

I look at the building again.

Various parts are broken.

“It wasn’t my fault, right?” (Yuna)

Although some of the places were damaged by my magic, the Volgla.s.s and Wyvern inflicted the most damage to the battle site.

In a battle, some sacrifices would be inevitable.

The seal of the giant snake was kept intact, so that’s a good outcome.

After confirming that there were no monsters around, I headed for Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear.

That side has one wyvern, and a few Volgla.s.s left. The number was steadily decreasing. If I rush in, I should be able to take them out in no time.

Are they getting along well?

When I ran to the area where Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear were guarding, I found that both of them were in the process of catching up with the wyvern.

`Ku~u ~ n’

`Ku~u ~ n’

The wyvern that Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear chased flapped its wings and tried to escape.

Hugging Bear launched an attack, but the wyvern avoided it in time. However, Swaying Bear ran up to the building and used the building to fly towards the wyvern. Swaying Bear’s attack hit the wyvern and knocked it to the ground.

Hugging Bear stopped the wyvern by digging his claws to the wyvern when it fell to the ground. The wyvern gasped for air and collapsed.

After defeating the wyvern, Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear rubbed their bodies together to honor each other.

Yeah, they seemed to be fighting well together. It makes me happy to see them getting along with each other.

“Swaying Bear, Hugging Bear” (Yuna)

When I called out to them, Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear noticed me and came running up to me.

“You both did a great job. Are you hurt?” (Yuna)

“Ku~u ~ n”

They cried like saying, “We’re okay.”

Apparently, they were not hurt. That’s good.

Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear looked like they wanted me to pet their heads, so I did.

But the battle wasn’t over yet.

“Volgla.s.s are still here. I’ll help you. We’ll take them down together.” (Yuna)

“Ku~u ~ n”

In my words, Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear went to defeat Volgla.s.s as if competing between themselves.

Are? They were fighting nicely just now, weren’t they?

I followed them and helped them defeat Volgla.s.s.

After defeating all the monsters, I asked Swaying Bear to head for the building I was in charge of. Hugging Bear will stay here.

There were no monsters, so just Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear should be fine.

Besides, it’s not that far away, so if something happens, I can rush in immediately if something significant happens.

“Then I’m going to ask you both to do me a favor. But don’t push yourselves too hard.” (Yuna)

“Ku~u ~ n”

Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear replied, then Swaying Bear ran to the building that I was in charge of. Hugging Bear took up a position on the roof of the building. He looks very motivated.

Leaving the buildings to Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear, I went for the next nearest place, Kagali-san’s place.

It didn’t take long for me to get to the building that Kagali-san was in charge of.

`h.o.r.e, kōre, kōre’ (「ほれ、凍れ、凍れ」)

Something like a blizzard was blowing out of Kagali-san’s hands, attacking the Wyvern. On the other hand, the wyvern closed its wings in front of its body to block it.

“Well then, how about this?” (Kagali)

Kagali-san shot a ball of flame at the wyvern. The flames entangled the wyvern and burned its wings. The wyvern flapped its wings and tried to extinguish it, but like a sticky flame, it did not go out easily.

Is it different from my magic?

The wyvern still flapped its wings and extinguished the flames.

But Kagali-san wouldn’t let it. She launched flame after flame.

Wyvern’s strong wings cracked.

I see; it’s an attack by temperature difference.

Did the wyvern skin contract by being cooled by the blizzard and expanded by the heat of the flames?

The wyvern can no longer hold out and attempts to escape by spreading its wings wide.

“I won’t let you go.” (Kagali)

Kagali-san raised her hands above her head and created a large flame. She launched it towards the wyvern. The wyvern was engulfed in flames and fell, screeching.

Strong.

Kagali-san’s flame could be as powerful as my bear flame.

As I watched, Kagali-san noticed me.

“What? Have you been watching me?” (Kagali)

“Yeah, for a little while now.” (Yuna)

“If so, you could have helped me.” (Kagali)

“I thought I didn’t have to interfere.” (Yuna)

“That’s not the case. Considering the fight with the serpent, I want to reduce the consumption of magical power as much as possible.” (Kagali)

It’s the same with me.

After we deal with these monsters, I should change into my white bear and get some rest.

I think I’m okay because my magical power isn’t exhausted that much. Besides, if Shin.o.bu sees my polar bear form, she will laugh at me.

“So, if you’re here, little girl, you’ve taken care of things on your side?” (Kagali)

“Swaying Bear, Hugging Bear, and they took care of my side.” (Yuna)

“That only leaves Shin.o.bu’s place.” (Kagali)

I use my detection skill to check the direction where Shin.o.bu was currently in.

There’s still the reaction of monsters. It looks like she’s having trouble with them.

“I’ll go check it out.” (Yuna)

“Well, then, I’m counting on you.” (Kagali)

“And Kagali-san, I need you to rush in when something happens to the seal that Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear are watching.” (Yuna)

“That’s fine, but I don’t know if a monster has arrived there. Well, it may be possible if I climb a tree and check.” (Kagali)

“I’ll confirm it, so it’ll be okay. And I need you to take this, Kagali-san.” (Yuna)

I took out a bearphone.

“That bear, I believe, it’s a magical tool that lets you speak to those far away.” (Kagali)

“If anything happens, I’ll call you with this, so can you hold it for me?” (Yuna)

“Now, with this, Mumuroot…” (Kagali)

“By the way, you can only talk to me with this magic tool.” (Yuna)

“Is that so?” (Kagali)

Kagali-san looks disappointed.

Did you want to talk to Mumuroot-san that badly?

I explained to Kagali-san how to use the bearphone.

“Also, if there is any problem on your side, please let me know.”

“I understand. I’ll gladly use it. I’ll take care of your bears. If anything happens to them, I will come running.” (Kagali)

Oh right, I have something to ask before heading to Shin.o.bu.

“Kagali-san, haven’t your tail increased?” (Yuna)

I’ve been curious since I saw Kagali-san. As far as I can see, she has three tails now.

“It’s one of my secrets. You are not the only one with a secret, you know? By the way, this is a maiden’s secret, so I won’t tell you.” (Kagali)

Perhaps she’ll have more power the more the number of tails increases?

Will it increase to nine?

The great yōkai, the nine-tailed fox, comes to mind.

“Don’t mind it, just get to Shin.o.bu. I’m worried about her.” (Kagali)

She’s right.

I asked Kagali-san to take care of this place and Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear’s area. After that, I headed straight for Shin.o.bu’s location.

I’m running while checking my detection skills.

There’s still a response for wyvern. More wyverns were coming. At this rate, the wyverns will get to the area before I do. This could be messy.

I dashed.

It’s not that far, so it only took a few tens of seconds.

When I arrived, Shin.o.bu just got up, wobbling. And two wyverns were coming down from the sky.

One was heading towards the building and the other towards Shin.o.bu.

But both of them will not make it in time.

I made my move even before I thought about it.

I kick the ground.

Then, I did a bear kick towards the Wyvern that’s descending towards Shin.o.bu.

Also known as a flying kick.

The wyvern flung back with a bear kick.

“Sin.o.bu, are you okay?” (Yuna)

I’m supporting Shin.o.bu’s body as she is about to fall.

“Yuna?” (Shin.o.bu)

“I’m glad I made it in time.” (Yuna)

I hugged Shin.o.bu’s shoulder to keep her from falling.

“A Wyvern is in the building.” (Shin.o.bu)

“I know.” (Yuna)

I was watching it head to the building.

“Perhaps Yuna was more concerned about me than the seal?” (Shin.o.bu)

“…………”

I kicked the wyvern that tried to attack Shin.o.bu rather than the wyvern that was heading for the building.

I could not do anything at that moment because Sin.o.bu was about to be attacked by a wyvern right in front of my eyes.

“But Yuna, you made the wrong choice. It’s better to save the seal than my life.” (Shin.o.bu)

Certainly, a king or someone from higher-ups might choose to protect the seal to save many lives instead of just one.

But I am not a king.

“I am free to do whatever I want.” (Yuna)

The wyvern that had entered the building was running amok inside the building by now. Better deal with it right away, but it’s probably too late.

And the wyvern I’ve kicked away was trying to get up.

If I leave Shin.o.bu here, she will definitely be attacked.

There’s no time to think about it.

“I’ll take care of the rest.” (Yuna)

I spoke gently to rea.s.sure her.

“I’m sorry…… Please don’t worry about me, just fight to your heart’s content.” (Shin.o.bu)

Shin.o.bu closed her eyes, and her head dropped.

“Shi, Shin.o.bu !?” (Yuna)

I called out to her, but she didn’t respond.

She’s breathing. Apparently, she just fainted. Don’t scare me like that. I thought she was dead.

The condition of Shin.o.bu was terrible. It doesn’t seem to be fatal, but she’s injured all over her body. In particular, her left shoulder was soaked with blood. A part of Shin.o.bu’s left shoulder was stained with blood.

She’s a girl, yet she also has scars on her face.

I wish I could fix her right away, but the wyvern that was kicked away by me was looking at me and snarling.

“I’ll deal with you now, so could you chill down for a moment?” (Yuna)

My words couldn’t reach the wyvern, and the wyvern spread its wings wide and shot wind blades at me.

I made a dirt wall to block it.

“I’m going to go beat it now, take a rest.” (Yuna)

I slowly laid down the unconscious Shin.o.bu on the ground.

Then, I used bear magic and my mithril knife at the snarling wyvern, killing it instantly.

I don’t have time to play with you.

Author’s Note:

Last time, I thought I’d write this story first, but when the story of Shin.o.bu came later, it lost some of its realism, so I went back a little and turn it into the story of Yuna.
