Lillie coughed, blood running out her throat. The drug was affecting her once again. As soon as she stumbled at one of the rooms, her legs gave out in exhaustion. Her eyes turned back to their original, blue color. Lillie did not even realize the change, not until Liu Sheng mentioned it.Speaking of that b.a.s.t.a.r.d, Liu Sheng was a fool to pick a five story building. This building was an abandoned hospital—Lillie discovered it was one when she was roaming in search for that ungrateful Yu Mei.
She estimated that it"ll be about twenty minutes before they find her and at the same time, the back-ups he called for would arrive.
Twenty minutes of rest is what she hoped for. Unfortunately, the large gash on her back wouldn"t stop oozing blood. She"ve left a few trails of her blood everywhere and ran around the building to confuse her captors.
Because of it, she was completely tired and weak from blood lost. Good thing she grabbed her clothes and used her s.h.i.+rt as a makes.h.i.+ft bandage.
A few minutes rest was equivalent to a day in the spa for Lillie. Her wounds began to sting, the drug"s numbing effect was slowly dispersing but the heat inside her was still potent. Her insides were blazing hot but her skin was cold as a dead body"s.
"Argh." A quiet hiss escaped her mouth.
The inexplicable pain was a huge wake up call. It gave her the message that she"s not dreaming, that this is indeed reality.
Lillie wanted to scream, she wanted to cry, she wanted to call out for someone. But, if she doesn"t want her concealment to be found, she had to endure the nightmarish agony.
At the end of the day, Lillie is still human.
Ears that stayed alert perked up at the sound of loud footsteps. Lillie calmly stood up. Just before bandaging herself, she let her blood create a trail towards the open window.
She forced her wobbly legs to jump, using the wall as leverage, up the small air ventilation on the ceiling.
Lillie knew that she wasn"t suppose to underestimate her opponents but, she"s positive that they"re too stupid that they"ll never a.s.sume that a weak girl like her could jump high up the ceiling and could fit into a small air ventilation.
Hmp! Just so you know, Lillie is very flexible and pet.i.te that she can still fit into a hole smaller than what they thought her body size could fit into.
Besides, the air ventilation"s s.p.a.ce will get bigger eventually. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what her captors failed to realize.
They"re still in denial, those men. They refuse to believe that a teenage girl like her could actually outsmart them.
Complete fools.
Liu Sheng must"ve been running low on cash to hire dumb, cheap tugs. Real ones will only underestimate their victim ones and never a second.
Real ones would know that she, Lillie Bai, will not give up so easily.

(Funny scene with Death to ease your nerves)
"Hm? Who are you guys suppose to be?" Death coincidentally stopped in front of an abandoned building that was surrounded by men with a red dragon insignia placed on their jackets.
"You have eyes and yet you cannot see. Does this symbol say nothing to you, ah?!" An arrogant guy mocked.
"What? I never heard of Red Snakes before." He said, feigning ignorance.
"d.a.m.n! You"re courting death, aren"t you?! Can"t you see that we"re from Vermillion Dragon?!"
"Eh? Why would I be courting myself? I know I"m awesome but, that"ll be weird." Death discreetly s.h.i.+vered at the thought.
"b.a.s.t.a.r.d! Aren"t you idle to die?!"
"Are you speaking for yourself?" Death retorted in monotone.
"We"ll kill you!" The tugs surrounded him and lunged at him all at ones.
Death sighed. It seems it"s unavoidable, being stained by blood with so many opponents to end. Should he remove his hoodie? Though, the ground in still wet from the rain. His clothes would still be ruined.
Should he fight naked? Also no; he"s too lazy to take a bath.
Another sigh left his mouth for the umpteenth time. Death...really hate was.h.i.+ng his clothes.
"I"ll kill all of you for making me do laundry!"
