It was a fine Monday morning as I was guiding my bike out of the condo. But my mood took a sharp curve downward when I spotted Rowan, leaning on his car that was parked outside of Azure Sky.I paid him no mind and walked past him. I motioned to ride my bike when I heard his coy voice.
"h.e.l.lo, Leanna. Let"s go to school together. It"ll be much faster in my car." He flashed me a flirtatious smile and motioned to grab my hand.
I recoiled.
It had been a long time since I felt that uncomfortable feeling. I got used to Cain"s touch that I forgot –– I hate others, especially men, touching me.
"You don"t have to be like that. I don"t have a contagious disease, you know."
I highly doubt that.
He ignored the disgust on my face, and continued, "What"s with that face? You"ve hurt my feelings. Now how do you plan to take responsibility?"
He grinned as he roamed his l.u.s.tful eyes all over my body.
It took a lot of self-control on my part not to poke his eyes out.
I rode my bike and zoomed towards the school"s direction, but the guy was adamant about following me around.
"Leanna, how about you and I have lunch together later? My treat."
I didn"t respond and continued to treat him like air.
"You know, the first time I saw you, I was beholden by your beauty. How about it? Wanna" have some fun with me? I promise it"ll be worth your while."
I skid to a stop which made Rowan"s smile stretched across his perverted face.
I searched inside my bag, grabbed my earphones, put it on, and resumed my way, leaving him fuming in disbelief.
----
Rowan licked his lips as he watched Leanna went off the distance. His eyes stalked her like a prey he refused to let go.
Well, things have gotten interesting.

His ego and pride took damage. He rarely approached girls, and when he did, it would always end on his bed. This was a first. He was not just ignored, he was also treated like air.
His face warped in a malicious grin. Challenge accepted.

"What"s wrong with you?" I asked when Zoe"s frowning face kept bothering me.
"Emma called me to meet at Grand Hotel later to have dinner," she said, in deep thought.
"And?"
Zoe leaned and crossed her arms. "And I think there is something fishy about it. Something tells me that I shouldn"t go."
"Then you shouldn"t."
"Yeah, but I already said yes."
I shook my head. "You"re very confusing. If you don"t want to go, then don"t."
Zoe s.h.i.+fted her eyes left and right, a bit hesitant. "I know, but she insisted. She said it"s to celebrate my first day at the university, which obviously is a little late."
"Hmm . . . That is suspicious."
Zoe waived her arms in dismissal and drank her soda. "Forget it! No use overthinking about it. I"ll just get it done and over with."
I stared at her "no care" expression for a minute and drank my tea. "Call me if something is up."
"Mmm . . . ," Zoe mumbled in respond and changed the topic. "By the way, where did Estela go?" She tilted her head and roamed her gaze in the cafeteria.
"She"s absent. She said that she had to take care some family-related stuff."
Zoe pursed her lips. "Oh, must be hard being a Fay."
I shrugged my shoulders.
