Once Linri made it into the end of the hallway he found a broken down room. There were weird pictures on the walls but as too much time past they were extremely weathered making it hard to identify what it was. There was an opening at the roof where light was coming in but it was too far for Linri to reach. He could not even climb the walls. In other words he was trapped inside without any hope of getting out. But Linri was not worried as this was all within the "script". So he just sat dawn leaned against the wall and closed his eyes. He was resting. He ran more than an hour so he was tried but most importantly he was waiting.
Linri knew that the moment he show the desire to escape the deities would appear but he did not want that at all. To Togk deities he was just a disposable a.s.set so they were going to force Linri to accept an unreasonable deal while giving him some benefits. That"s why they trapped him here in the first place. The real Linri was a naive teenager who had not seen the dark side of the world yet so he would believe they were helping him and even gave him awesome powers. Little did he know his plight was actually cause by them.
He did not know when but while waiting Linri fell a sleep. When he woke up it was already evening. He could tell from the colour from the light inside the room. Linri still did not show any desire to escape. He was sore from sitting in the same place for a prolonged time so he started to do some basic exercise and once he felt better he sat down in the same position again and closed his eyes.
Linri was hungry and regretting that he did not bring any water or food but he was still patient. This matter was concerning his future and in exchange for a better one, this amount of little suffering was nothing. Once it became night again he fell asleep.
He woke up in the morning. He was hungry and thirsty. He was also a little worried for his parents. He was afraid that they would find him and forcefully end this game he was playing with the deities. He stretched a little and a.s.sumed his position again. He did not dare exercise for fear of dying of thirst. Right now moving as little as possible was the best he could do. He was saving his energy and water reserves.
Since he had time to think a lot of his stuff he ran through all the possible conversations he could have with the deities. He also noticed that his parents would not be able to find him as the deities would probably do something to hide this place from the prying eyes so he became a lot more relax. He was in no way worried for his life as he knew they would not let him die. At worst he could take the disadvantaged deal.
Linri spent another day inside.
It was the third day he was trapped here. Hunger was still bearable but he was parched. His lips were cracked, his tongue was dry and he could not keep his conscious awake. This time he was fearing to fall a sleep as that might mean he might not wake up again. He knew that deities were not going to let him die but he was not going to risk it.
Linri was breathing heavily. Every breath he took felt like his lungs were burning. Even though he was a heavy smoker prior to his descent he never felt this much pain in his lungs. Why was breathing hurt so much anyway? He did not remember anyone dying from thirst having breathing problems. What Linri did not know was that it was not just his lungs. His whole body was shutting down due to lack of water. Normally a human can live up to 3 days without water. This was not the absolute though. He was in a hot environment so he was constantly sweating. Prior to being trapped he ran almost for an hour so his reserves were already close to empty. A normal human could not live as much as Linri did in this kinda situation.
The only reason he was alive was the bloodlines inside him. Seeing Linri in danger the wolf and the fox made a temporary truce. They could not let Linri die as that would spell the end for themselves too so they did everything they could to keep him alive. Alas they were not awakened so they could only earn one more day for Linri.
One more day pa.s.sed
It was the fourth day without any water. His skin was shrivelled and there were cracks every where. Linri"s mind was hazy from the pain he was feeling right now. He could not think clearly. There was only one thing in his mind and that was to not give up. He knew that if he give up all his previous suffering will be all for nothing. He had to hold on no matter what. At this point he did not even care if the deities let him die. He was not going to bow down to them. In clear mind Linri would be too scared to think like that but now that he was on the brink of dying he felt stubborn. In his delusional mind he was thinking "I am their creator, how dare they disrespect me! I made them. They are my subjects. They might call themselves G.o.ds but I AM THEIR G.o.d!"
"Young man do you want to get out?" sounded an ancient voice inside Linri"s mind. He gave a painful b.l.o.o.d.y smile. He knew that he had won this little game.
