Ten, twenty seconds pa.s.sed yet Bin heard no reply. He didn"t know that Melissa was actually shocked as she didn"t expect him to call her out of the blue and say that. She soon collected her thoughts and said:"Sure, let"s meet at my villa."
"I"m on my way."
Bin then hung up and told the taxi driver his destination before relaxing his tense muscles and closing his eyes.
"I need to take down whoever is leading those guys. Since they"re still waiting for me to show up then it means they didn"t report to the main branch yet."
The stress he was feeling made his heartbeat drastically increase… actually, not even the implanted magical pumps were able to functions properly. Less than ten minutes after he boarded the taxi, Bin clutched his chest and groaned in pain.
"You okay in there?"
The driver turned towards him and frowned as Bin was incredibly pale and seemed to have difficulty breathing.
"I, I"m fine… please hurry."
He waved his hand before sealing his lips and enduring the burning pain. It was definitely the apparition of another black spot but this time, it hurt even more, probably due to the location of the spot or something other, unknown reason.
Twenty or so minutes later, Bin got off the taxi and entered Melissa"s villa, finding her waiting for him in the living room with Secretary Park. A smile was blossoming on her beautiful face as she beckoned him while preparing all the doc.u.ments.
With large strides, Bin arrived opposite of her in the blink of an eye and s.n.a.t.c.hed the pen from her hands. He picked the paper and prepared to sign:
"It doesn"t matter the conditions, I need your help now. If everything proceeds smoothly then I"ll become your servant but only in secret. I still want to remain as Jasmine"s servant too."
Melissa pursued her lips while talking: "Mhm that"s awfully selfish from you." She glanced at her secretary before adding: "As long as you"re willing to work for me then I"m sure we could figure things out."
Bin snorted and swiftly signed the papers before throwing them on the table without giving them another glance.
"There, it"s done."
He took a deep breath before calmly sitting on the chair. He looked at the blond girl with a piercing glare and a dark expression, his behavior way different and colder than usual, to the point that even Melissa was knitting her brows, confused.
"You did kill those thugs who attacked me, right?"
"What are you g-"
The secretary was about to retort but the girl raised her hand, signaling him to shut up. Her smile vanished as she gazed back at the dark-haired youngster and seriously said:
"Yes, that"s right."
"Good, then I don"t have to worry about you backing down." He paused for a brief moment before resuming: "I need you to get me a couple of good loyal fighters and weapons… guns!"
An unintentional gasp escaped Melissa"s lips as she couldn"t believe her ears. Although she knew he was mysterious and special, she didn"t expect him to brazenly say that, and in such an emotionless too.
She closed her eyes for a few seconds, pondering about something, before replying: "Consider it done. When do you want them?"
"Now… tonight, before the sunrise."
In response, the blond girl turned toward her secretary, who nodded his headed, retrieved his cell phone and started doing as told.
"May I ask what you need them fo-"
"You may not. This doesn"t concern you. You help me with this and I help you in the future, an equal and fair exchange, isn"t that how you like it?"
Melissa looked at him without opening her mouth, her eyes containing a mix of unfamiliar emotions. She sighed and shook her head, truly unable to understand Bin"s sudden shift in behavior.
"Don"t forget that from now on, you work for me."
"You don"t need to rub it in." He got up and asked: "When will everything be ready?"
"Give me an hour."
…
As she promised, a bit less than an hour later, a large black armored hummer stopped before Melissa"s villa. Four tall and muscular men wearing black clothes got off the vehicle and carried with them a large rectangular box.
Bin quietly watched them as they put the box in front of their boss and stood next to each other with their hands behind their back. One of them, actually, was a person Bin saw in the past.
He was the same person who was guarding Melissa when he lunged at her inside of her car. The familiar man with scratches on his face seemed to be their leader, he respectfully bowed to Melissa before opening the box.
The thing was filled with all kinds of weapons, whether it"s short swords, swiss knives, rifles, guns, or even grenades. Bin crouched down and started inspected them… from the way he was examining each and every one of them, it was apparent that he was a bit knowledgeable.
The four men didn"t utter a sound and didn"t dare question their boss or ask why they were called her at the night and out of the blue.
"From now on, this person here, Bin, is who you should listen to. His orders are equivalent to my orders, understood?"
Melissa spoke with a very strict and authoritative voice as she warned the four men, who shouted in unison, showing no objection or reluctance.
As for Bin, he went and change into a black outfit similar to the men before he started preparing his weapons, not minding the strange glances he was getting from Melissa or her secretary.
Fortunately, Rika was sound asleep upstairs and most of the villa was soundproof so she wasn"t awoken by the loud noises of the four men or anything else.
"Tonight, we"re going to kill. Get ready, both mentally and physically."
Bin disregarded the fact that they"re older and more experienced and sternly said. He covered his face with a black cloth, making only his eyes visible, before hiding two guns around his waist and a knife in a small pocket right above his knee.
"Yes."
The four replied together. Bin was a stranger to them but they knew better than anyone that they should no go against Melissa"s orders.
The blond girl was getting more intrigued and confused as she didn"t know what Bin was going to do, nevertheless, she didn"t stop him as he boarded the large hummer with her subordinates and departed ten minutes after their arrival.
"Miss, was it the right thing to do?"
"I very much think so." She chuckled and sat on the sofa while looking at the signing doc.u.ments.
"But he seems to be… volatile and dangerous."
Melissa scoffed and retorted: "If I wanted a loyal dog, I wouldn"t have chosen him!"
