Life As A Servant

Chapter 54

Ann ma.s.saged her stiff temples, sighed and said:

"I can"t believe I"m saying this but the Buster Drug saved your life. Not only did you not listen to my advice and didn"t wait several hours between each injection but you also injected a big amount! It would"ve killed anyone but you lived thanks to your "illness". Were it not for the drug"s effect, you wouldn"t have been able to come here after being fatally injured."

She paused for a second, seriously pondering about something before stating:

"You will no longer the Buster Call and that"s final!"

Bin was about to object only to be cut off.

"If you"re not happy with my decision then go and get him from somewhere else, I"m not giving you any. I"m a doctor… not a murderer, I didn"t give it to you so you can overdose!"

Her berating voice and angry expression clearly showed how enraged and frustrated she was from his actions. Though the drug did save his life, it also shortened it, bringing even close to death"s doors.

After a short silence, Bin sighed and stared at her with an unusually serious expression while saying:

"Tell me, what is your goal in life?"

Unfortunately, she didn"t give an immediate response. Still angry at him, she snorted and retorted:

"Hmpf! We"re not close enough to talk about such things. Get some rest."

She was about to leave only for him to tightly hold her wrist.

"What? Too ashamed to tell me? Or… you don"t have one?"

She tried shaking off his hand but despite his current condition, he managed to clench her wrist, refusing to let go until she answers.

"Let go!"

Her resistance grew stronger and in the end, he finally let go of her wrist, almost causing her to fall. She glared at him for a second before turning around and leaving.

Just as she was about to step out of the room, she heard him talk again:

"Can"t you just grant a dying man"s last wish?"

The doctor halted her steps for a few moments before leaving the room, at last. Left alone, Bin let out a helpless sigh and laid on the bed, lost in thought.

After getting a good night"s sleep, Ann was surprised to see a standing Bin when she woke up. Her astonishment grew when he showed her how energetic he was. It"s as if he was never stabbed, his body was in its peak state which confused her.

Even after running a few simple tests, she couldn"t locate the "problem" which led to this result. Despite his insistence, she refused to let him go, telling him that what he needs most is rest.

Unfortunately, Bin is the stubborn type, refusing to listen to her no matter what she said. Luckily, Jasmine and Rika arrived shortly after.

To the master"s surprise, her servant was in full shape and in a heated dispute with the female doctor. At first, she didn"t believe her eyes and only when Rika let out an astonished gasp did the master believe what she was seeing.

"Oh, you"re here."

Bin noticed Jasmine"s arrival, he flashed a friendly smile at her while beckoning her.

"Come tell her that I need to work."

Without needing an explanation, Jasmine understood the gist of the situation. Truthfully, she didn"t know what to do… on one hand, she was worried about her servant"s well being and on the other hand, he needs to go home to meet Mina, who"s feeling down as she hasn"t seen her brother for more than a day. It"s not like him to go missing like this without informing her.

Stuck between a rock and a hard place, Jasmine hesitated for a moment before speaking:

"H-he needs to go home."

With a gloating expression, Bin flashed a thumbs up at Jasmine and gave one last glance at Ann before leaving the facility. Since she didn"t want to give him anymore drug, he"ll go look somewhere, just like she said. After all, she"s not the only one who has it, surely…

Jasmine conversed with Ann while Rika quietly followed Bin all the way outside. As they stood near Jasmine"s sports car, Rika said:

"Are you really okay?"

He stretched his limbs and jumped a few times before saying

"Good enough for you?"

Despite his display of energy, Rika wasn"t convinced that he should go work after one day of rest. He didn"t just trip and fall but literally got stabbed, it"s a serious matter.

"This is not a matter you should treat so casually."

Hearing her berate him like that, a frown appeared on Bin"s face.

"At least I"m taking more seriously than you. Plus, who"re you to tell me what to do and not to do?"

For his question, there was no reply as she proceeded to ignore, visibly displeased by his rude behavior. She thought they formed some sort of friendship after what happened last time but it seemed to be her mistake.

"Just why is he so h.e.l.l-bent on working in his condition? … is it related to those injections from that time?"
