Shen Yi came back to their suite, but Lu Xinyi was nowhere to be found. Where could she possibly be? Didn’t she say she’d be back before lunchtime?
He placed his files on the desk and waited for the delivery of their lunch. Browsing his phone to check his email, he read a familiar name in his inbox. It was a short message from Li Qiao. His brows knitted, clearly not understanding why his ex-girlfriend was seeking him out this time.
The message was short and had nothing of importance in his opinion. Shen Yi deleted the email and relaxed on the couch while he waited for his wife. He didn’t like to think that Li Qiao would bring problems for him and Lu Xinyi.
An hour pa.s.sed, the food arrived on time; and yet Lu Xinyi hadn’t. Shen Yi chose to calmly wait for her call. Lu Xinyi would always choose to inform him ahead if there was a change in plans than ditch him without a word.
The hands of the clock hit at two o’clock, and she still hadn’t arrived. It was then that Shen Yi decided to look for her. He took his coat and was about to call Lu Xinyi when the door opened, revealing the woman he’d been waiting for.
“I’m back,” Lu Xinyi muttered and stepped inside their suite, feeling exhausted.
Shen Yi’s eyes glint with amus.e.m.e.nt and relief. He would’ve flipped the town upside down if she was really missing.
“Would you like to have lunch? A bath? Or maybe me?” He gave her a half-smirk.
“…”
Lu Xinyi stared at him for a moment. Her eye twitched before she decided to turn around and slipped back the shoes she removed earlier.
“Wait! Xinxin! Where are you going?!” Shen Yi panicked, thinking that something had come up and distressed his wife. Instead of Lu Xinyi leaving their suite, she eyed at the room number and nodded to herself.
“I thought I came in the wrong suite, but I guess I should’ve expected I’ll come home with a perverted husband.” She sighed to herself.
“What are you talking about, Xinxin?” Shen Yi pulled her arm to make her face him. “Nothing’s shameful about a man looking after his wife.”
Lu Xinyi covered her face and blushed. There was no hope for Shen Yi anymore. She remembered what happened earlier that morning when Shen Yi came in while she dressed. There was a moment of silence as Shen Yi shamelessly ogled at his half-naked wife before leaving her with a flushed face.

The day was a little chilly. The impending rain had become more prominent as time pa.s.sed by. Lu Xinyi changed her attire and wore a big sweats.h.i.+rt and a pair of shorts, with her hair carelessly thrown in a loose ponytail.
With their late lunch done and dinner still a few hours away, Lu Xinyi plopped on the couch beside her husband while Shen Yi was busy finis.h.i.+ng up the last details of the deal he just close.
“Didn’t you say we’re going on a short trip this week?” Lu Xinyi remembered.
“En,” Shen Yi replied, his eyes still on the monitor of his laptop, “I’ve already arranged everything although we will have some company this time.”
“Who?”
‘Oh, please don’t tell me it’s the Mo siblings again. I can’t take all Mo Lihui’s whining anymore.’ Lu Xinyi mentally chanted hoping that she wouldn’t deal with that woman again.
“Kang Wei and Zhao Xi. They are visiting a family relative and want to meet us tomorrow.”
Lu Xinyi perked up when she heard Zhao Xi’s name. Since Zhao Xi was a physician, she might know answers. Her anxiety about not being able to bear a child still haunted her.

When Shen Yi and Lu Xinyi arrived at the museum three hours away from Peach Blossom Resort, Lu Xinyi couldn’t find the words to describe her feelings. She’d enjoyed the scenery, the different art styles, and the structure of the building itself. It had been too long since she had a vacation, and certainly, her husband had just found out her fascination with art and paintings.
In her excitement, Lu Xinyi couldn’t help but take a lot of pictures—with Shen Yi occasionally becoming her photographer and sometimes asking a pa.s.serby to take a picture of them a few times.
“You know, Shen Yi. I just realized we don’t have many pictures together,” Lu Xinyi commented, scrolling on the images on her camera while waiting on their lunch. She stopped at one image of her and Shen Yi. “I like this one.”
Shen Yi leaned over as she turned the camera around for him to see. It was one of the pictures he took himself. The angle wasn’t perfect, but it caught her wife’s bright smile perfectly. There was something so serene and peaceful about the photo that Shen Yi couldn’t help but agree to his wife.
“This is nice, but I think our wedding photo would be perfect.”
Oh, that… well, they didn’t have one.
“I think we have a remedy for that,” Lu Xinyi grinned. It wouldn’t hurt to ask Yuan Jin a favor this time. With all those costumes and concepts that her best friend could come up, she was sure that they could have a wedding photoshoot privately.
“Your phone is ringing.” Shen Yi pointed at her handbag where she left her phone.
Speak of the devil, Yuan Jin had been sending her messages on her phone and chose to give her a call.
“Hey,” she greeted, but before she could say more, Yuan Jin cut her words.
“Girl! Where are you? Your pictures are all over the news!”
Lu Xinyi blinked not understanding what he meant. Could he be talking about the campaign?
“You mean the campaign?”
“No! Check the links I sent you! Your pictures with President Shen at the museum have been circulating social media!”
