His house was invaded by unwanted guests but Shen Yi couldn’t do anything about it. His wife had her full attention to the twins, tending to their every need as if she was the real mother of those children. He wondered if she will act the same if the kids were their own offsprings.
Just like what he’d said earlier, Shen Xue invited himself for dinner and joined the small family for a meal.
‘This glutton,’ Shen Yi scowled at his younger brother. Couldn’t Shen Xue see that he was trying to stop him from barging on his place? Since he was already married, Shen Xue should stop inviting himself over and raiding his fridge for food.
“Xue, if you keep insisting being a freeloader here in my house, at least consider paying for Xinyi’s meals.” Shen Yi glared at his brother’s direction.
Shen Xue lifted his head and stop midway from taking another meat from his plate when he heard his older’s brother’s words.
“So you will let me have my free meals now?” he asked with wide eyes.
“No. There ain’t no such thing as a free lunch, ” Shen Yi replied, “If you’re going to eat here, you should also help look out for the kids. Don’t let your Big Sis get tired with them. How could she cook if she gets tired taking care of the twins?” he pointed out.
Ah, if he couldn’t get rid of his brother, might as well use him to his own advantage. Lu Xinyi was still reviewing and practicing her skills in cooking and baking and taking care of the twins might affect her studies.
Realizing that his favorite meals will be compromised, Shen Xue easily agreed to his brother’s condition. What? No more meals for him if Big Sis couldn’t cook! Ha! As long as he didn’t have to sleep over on his brother’s home, he will be fine.
“Deal! Just make sure to give me a call if you need anything.” His attention then turned to his nephew and niece, “Behave and don’t give Aunty Xinxin problems, okay?”
“Hey, wait. Take this. Dad told me to give you this. Don’t ask me what is it because I have no idea what’s up with him.” Shen Xue pa.s.sed another gift to his brother.
This time, Shen Yi was on his guard, eyeing the box as if it contains a venomous snake or something else. He got a bad feeling about it so he decided not to open the gift in front of his wife and the twins.

Lu Xinyi sighed softly as she leaned back against the soft pillows on their bed. She felt slightly uncomfortable now that they have to share their home with the twins, but she supposed it shouldn’t matter since they were also part of his family.
Shen Yi opened the box that Shen Xue gave earlier. His brows shot up and hit his bangs when he saw what his father gave him as a wedding gift. d.a.m.n, do they really have to force him and Lu Xinyi to start trying to have little dumplings soon?
His father and his grandmother were very vocal about their opinion for him to start trying, but this… for his father to give him a book of Kama Sutra… Weren’t they going overboard with their unabashed request for grandchildren?
He threw the book at one of the drawers of their bedside table, slipped beneath the covers beside his wife and reached over to switch off the light beside their bed. Lu Xinyi made herself comfortable as she wrapped her arms around her husband and cuddle next to him.
His gaze trailed down from her closed eyes down to her parted lips. He knew he should let her sleep early since they had a long day but he couldn’t stop himself from leaning forward to kiss her lips.
Lu Xinyi’s lashes fluttered as he kissed her, not surprised with her husband’s action tonight. They had barely enough time for each other ever since they stayed at the Shen Mansion and she knew he was missing their time alone. Taking in the twins within their home didn’t help improve his mood lately.
His long fingers reached to stroke her cheeks gently, kissing her lips once more before trailing down to her neck and collarbone. Who said he need help to please his wife? Shen Yi prided himself on many things, but more than anything, he indulged in the masculine smugness that he could most certainly bring his wife to o.r.g.a.s.m.
Shen Yi smirked, loving the way how Lu Xinyi moaned his name, his fingers running along her sides down to her hips. He was about to slip off her nightdress when a sudden loud knock ruined their mood.
“Aunty Xinxin? Uncle Yi?” Shen Zhichen’s voice said from the other side of the door.
Lu Xinyi abruptly sat up and pushed her husband away from her. Shen Yi’s back met the mattress with a soft thud.
‘Noooooooooooo.’ Shen Yi mentally screamed. He was so close. So close to see and taste what lies beneath that silk nightgown that he missed the most but the twins decided to interrupt their moment at the wrong time. When could he get all of his wife attention?
Lu Xinyi opened the door of their room and saw the twins standing outside. Shen Zichen sighed as he looked at his sister who was clutching his hand tightly with her small hands.
“What’s wrong, dear?”
“Yuyan woke me up with her crying,” Zhichen whispered as if he was afraid that Lu Xinyi will get angry at them.
“What’s going on?” Shen Yi appeared behind his wife and stared down at the twins.
“It seems like Yuyan couldn’t sleep. Why don’t we let them sleep here with us tonight?” Lu Xinyi responded. Shen Yi knew that his chance had totally gone with the way his wife looked at the children. Goodbye, playtime. We shall meet again soon.
