Taking the devil’s child from its lair wasn’t a simple job, and yet because their boss insisted on bringing Shen Lingqing to him, the three men wondered if they’d be able to get away easily without being killed by both parties.

Surely, Shen Yi would never allow anyone to harm his precious daughter, but there was something they’d noticed when they were stalking Shen Lingqing for the past three days.

The public still had no idea what this Shen princess looked like so it was no wonder they were confused when they first saw their target.

The girl had two nannies and a bodyguard which was also a woman, but whenever the girl was in the huge greenhouse behind the mansion to play with Shen Yi’s adoptive children, her nannies were nowhere to be found.

Sure there were guards posted outside and could easily hear the children if they asked for help, but they still found it strange that they loosened the security inside the greenhouse. Moreover, there were no security cameras installed inside, which added to their confusion.

The greenhouse itself was huge and was filled with several crops out of season, thick bushes, and high plants enough to make them feel like they were in a jungle instead.

This was why they waited for the time the Shen children arrived with their nannies and took this chance to get Shen Lingqing without anyone noticing their presence.

From afar, the three could already hear the children’s laughter as they ran inside the greenhouse. The boy settled down under the shade of a tree nearby while the girls ran around as they played hide-and-seek.

The older girl started to count, and Shen Lingqing excitedly ran towards the path where the trees grew tall. They followed the girl who swiftly hid herself from her sister. For a one-and-a-half-year-old girl like Shen Lingqing, she surely ran and moved too fast.

At a first glance, no one would think that she was that young; for she was taller than the average girl her age. Some still had to depend on their mothers and guardians, but Shen Lingqing stood on her ground like any three-year-old toddler would do.

One of the men sprayed something on a white handkerchief on his hand, ready to pounce on Shen Lingqing once he saw her. However, even before any of them could make a move to the girl, there was a low dangerous growl that vibrated near the child.

The bush behind the Shen princess moved rapidly, and then the three men found themselves staring back at a pair of azure eyes watching them intently. Their jaws dropped, knees weakened as they realized why the Shens never bothered to put more guards within the greenhouse.

This was the territory of the wild white tiger owned by the infamous Madam Shen. Everyone thought that it was just a rumor, but now that they were almost face-to-face with the beast, they now regretted stepping in Shen Yi’s place.

No wonder the security inside was lacking. There was no need for that.

“Xiao Bai! Xiao Bai!”

Shen Lingqing laughed upon seeing her favorite pet. Her brother and sister prefer the company of the Akita dogs, but she loved Xiao Bai the most. From the moment she was born, the white tiger had taken it upon himself to watch the girl as she grew up.

She immediately ran towards Xiao Bai and wrapped her small arms on his neck but failed. The white tiger rubbed its nose on the little girl’s flushed cheek which earned a high-pitched giggle from her.

“So fluffy.” Shen Lingqing adored her mother’s pet and always tried to sneak in some dried meat for Xiao Bai. “Here.” She pulled out a long piece of dried meat and gave it to the white tiger.

Xiao Bai took the meat and s.h.i.+fted his gaze towards the direction where the three men were hiding. They hadn’t revealed themselves to the girl, and yet this vicious and dangerous animal had already known what they were attempting to do.

They were aware that if they attempted to leave now, the guards outside would notice them and kill them. However, they also couldn’t leave empty-handed.

The girl continued to babble childish words to the tiger and snuggled next to him under the tree until she fell asleep. It was only then the white tiger s.h.i.+fted and made a move in silence.

The white tiger’s intimidating growl easily paralyzed the men in their places. None of them dared to make a move as the white tiger stalked towards them slowly. They broke into a cold sweat, praying to all deities to forgive them for their sins and save them from this beast.

One of them stepped back—which was clearly a wrong move—as Xiao Bai pounced at him at once, slas.h.i.+ng with his sharp claws. Instantly, that same man lost his life and was left bathing in his own blood. His throat had deep bite marks on it.

The screams of the other two men as they were hunted inside the greenhouse by a large white tiger resounded within, taking the attention of all the guards posted outside.

Jiao Jiao and the two nannies came running inside and took the twins out. Jiao Jiao looked around the greenhouse, only to sigh in relief when she saw Qing Qing sleeping at the usual place where she plays with the white tiger.

It was really a wonder how this tiger was tamed by her mistress and this kid. Even Shen Yi was having a hard time taming this beast, and yet it was so easy for his wife and daughter.

Shen Yi was busy working in his study when Qiao He knocked on his door and stepped inside.

“Something happened at the greenhouse, Boss Yi.”

“Hn?” Shen Yi didn’t break his focus on his paperwork and let his a.s.sistant continue his report.

“Someone managed to sneak it and tried to kidnap Young Miss Qing,” Qiao He continued.

At that remark, Shen Yi placed the doc.u.ments on his table, his eyes narrowing. Of all the places, they tried to get Qing Qing under Xiao Bai’s watch? They must be courting death.

“How’s Qing Qing?”

“Miss Jiao Jiao found her sleeping under the tree during the ordeal. She hasn’t witnessed the horrible scene her pet created during her slumber,” Qiao He replied.

Ah, there was blood to be cleaned again. This wasn’t the first time someone invaded Shen Yi’s home, but like the fate of all those previous a.s.sailants, they all came to the same end. Xiao Bai was really particular and dangerous when he hunted for his prey.

The aftermath of his hunting spree was b.l.o.o.d.y, and neither Lu Xinyi nor Qing Qing was aware of how dangerous he could be.

Shen Yi stood and strode out of the study to find his children’s whereabouts. Xinxin wasn’t home at the moment, and it would be bad if something bad happened to Qing Qing while she wasn’t around.

“Are there any survivors?” He asked his a.s.sistant as they went down the stairs and walked towards the greenhouse.

“Xiao Bai killed the two. We found the other one still conscious. Your order, Boss Yi.” Qiao He waited for Shen Yi’s next plans.

“Make him talk. I’m sure Li Yuren is also getting tired of this hunting game,” the devil said before taking his leave to check on his precious daughter.
