"I am relieved. Sometimes Mother can go a little overboard. Do you need any help with your a.s.signments? I heard Sachi and Ami brought you your a.s.signments. If it helps I will also collect what you missed for you when you are unable to come to school." Gabriel let out a sigh in relief.

"Ah, no. Most of the a.s.signments are already complete. I gave all the completed ones to Sachi to hand in for me. I tend to work ahead and the teachers give me access to knowing what I miss due to my health issues. So I try to stay ahead just in case I am out of cla.s.s for an extended period of time. I look forward to going back on Monday. I think that Yukimura will be surprised as he probably thinks that I got kicked out." Amelia giggles and looks into his eyes.

Gabriel looks down into her eyes and he pulls her up and kisses her on the lips gently. "I do not like hearing about other males from your mouth but in this case I will agree that it will be funny. Better yet is that you will be coming with me to school." His eyes soften as he looks into them. "I need to get you an engagement gift. We are still able to have our marriage meeting the day after tomorrow."

"I will let you decide on what you are going to get for me. I can not leave the house so I hope that you do not mind if I make you something?" Amelia giggles at the expression on his face.

"I am okay with anything that you decide to get for me as well. I Will do my best to pick something that will suit you but this means that I will need to leave your side tomorrow. Will you be okay if I go into town and pick out the gift for you?" Gabriel looks down at her, completely panicked.

"If it will make you feel better. I could come and join you and stay in the carriage. That way you do not need to worry about me being left behind. If that unsettles you you can have someone stay with me or maybe I could get out a look around as well with you." Amelia smiles as she makes her suggestions and looked into his eyes. "Gabriel everything feels right when I am with you."

"The time that I spent away was sheer torture. I was worried about you the whole time. There was nothing that I thought would make me upset but here I am faced with the fact that you are unwell and I do not want to leave you alone for a second. So I think that I will do as you suggest and bring you along with me. I do not want you to be alone. We will look at things together. This will help me choose what I should get fore you." Gabriel touches her cheek and kepte his eyes locked with hers.

Inari bounced into the yard and sat by Gabriel and Amelia. Happy to see that she was doing a lot better now. He stretched his body and yawned happily.

Amelia saw Inari and held out her hand out over Gabriel"s shoulder to pet him. "I went to the s.h.i.+ne on your property and they left me fruit when I prayed there. Have you ever seen the spirits that came from the shrine?"

"Seen the spirits? I have but at the same time it is not something that I would mention. I saw them when I was young. I have not seen them since I turned seven. I believe that there was a spirit called Inari."

"You knew Inari?" He is but a small little fox." She moved but not very far as she was still in his arms.

Gabriel looked at Amelia in surprise and then steadyed her. "Don"t move so much. I will that you will fall and that is something that I would never forgive myself for."

Sorry," Amelia stops moving and then looks at Inari. "I wonder why you are not able to see him anymore?"

"Are you saying that you can?" Gabriel smiled and looked down at Amelia in his arms and saw that she was nodding. He looks at the gra.s.s and can see that the gra.s.s was sitting oddly. "Is he here?"

"Mmmhmmm, Inari is sitting in the gra.s.s in front of us. He is worried about me and his mother even told him not to bother me while I am resting but he still sneaks away. I think that he misses your company." Amelia looked at Inari and watched him run in circles.

Gabriel focused on the spot and was able to see a faint outline for a brief moment. "I will need to work on this so that I can see him again. Is he still a fox-kit?"

"Yes, he still looks like a fox-kit. I am surprised that you remember him as it has been such a long time since you have last seen him. Then again I am surprised that I am able to see him while you are left in the dark." Amelia wondered out loud.

The G.o.ddess stepped out and reached out her hand. Inari. You trouble maker. You made me worry." She turned to Amelia, "He no longer believed in us but if he really wants to see us again then I will gift him the sight once more." She walked up to Gabriel and touched over his eyes.

Gabriel felt the gentle touch over his eyes and didn"t fight. When he felt the hand pull back he saw the fox hopping around. "Inari! I knew that you were not a figment of my imagination."

Amelia smiled, "I am not entirely sure why I was able to see them but I am glad that I was able to. They have been helping me by giving me fruits and I said that I would take care of the shrine."
