Love Unfolding

Chapter 87

Chapter 87

KAILEEN ANDY LEWIS

The ray of light reflected in my eyes pulled me up from my slumber and I felt Erika curled up next to me.

I smiled as I dropped my arm around her and pulled her more closer.

It has been TWO MONTHS since we started living together.

It wasn"t easy as we adjusted in everything, especially with our hidden att.i.tudes in which we gradually accepted and loved on the process knowing there"s more to the coming of days.

"For sure"

I heard her groaned as I held her.

"I have an idea." I whispered in her ear slightly touching with my lips.

"Hmmm, what"s that?" She rolled over to face me.

"How about we stay in bed since it"s weekend?"

She chuckled. "Must be nice but we have somewhere to be."

"Can we not go?" I persuaded.

"We can"t."

"My life would depend on it." She reasoned.

"Then depend on me instead." I insisted.

She pecked my forehead.

"Can you save files huh?"

"My brain can." I boasted.

She laughed with that.

"Then can your brain do the printing?"

"No." I pouted.

Then she got up and pulled my arms.

"Then get up already."

"And we"ll go buy my new laptop."

I let myself be heavy for her not to have her way.

"Hahaha"

"Evil me"

But I lost in the end. I always lost when it comes to her.

[**********]

We lightly strode our way inside a mall, taking our time.

The brushing of our arms has that effect on me; electrifying.

It always does.

And more than that, I really want to hold her hand in public but I can"t and we already had a talk about this.

In the two months of living together, we had quiet little arguments about this but she always pleaded to give her time, and so I always did.

But honestly, it"s frustrating deep within me.

"Cause I want her to be free.

I want her to show everyone that I"m hers as she she is mine.

But I could really only wait.

"Tsk"

After buying the laptop, we had our little date until evening came.

"We can just eat in a diner Love." I suggested.

"No, we should eat in a fancy restaurant once in a while." She disagreed.

I just sighed and went along with her.

Since it"s dark and not so many people around as we entered the restaurant, I have the luxury to hold her hand.

As we were inside guided by a woman in her forty"s to our table, someone from behind us called Erika.

Both Erika and I turned to the man.

"Jimmy…" Erika acknowledged.

And as she gave the man a warm smile, she also forcibly pulled away her hand in my clasp.

The sudden action caused me to sightly stumble not to mention how it hurt me inside; emotionally.

"Fancy meeting you here." The man said enthusiastically.

Erika gave him a power hug.

Yeah, a power hug that they even swayed their bodies while in each other"s arms.

"So who"s with you?" He asked curiously as he spotted me.

I moved closer and reached out my hand which he shook gladly.

"I"m Andy."

"I"m- " But Erika cut me off.

"She"s my friend, a cla.s.smate in my major."

"lol"

And that hurts. It felt like someone just stab me and I think the face I made just sold me off.

Good thing Jimmy didn"t inquire more.

"This is Jimmy, my cousin." Erika introduced.

I just smiled.

Then they talked for a couple of minutes before Jimmy bid his goodbye.

By then, Erika and I settled down on our table and we ate silently as our order arrived.

There was tension around, I guess I was not successful in hiding my disappointment.

Looking into Erika, I know she knew but just holding back to ask because she fully knew well that if she does, we will have again that argument in circle, over and over again.
