Loving A STRANGER

Chapter 177

Ken looked at Kylie and said, "Let"s play a game. If you win, I will let you go, and you can return to The Four Seasons. If I win, you will be mine until the day that you die, and we will return to The Four Seasons, together."

Kylie frowned. She did not want to play a game with Ken. Not seeing any other option, though, she nodded her head. She could feel that this devil had something in his sleeve. There"s no way that this man will let go of her, as last time he tried to a.s.sault her.

Ken smiled and told her that she was a very good girl, which made her feel like a dog. Ken got up, took her hand, and led her outside, to where his car was waiting. He put her in the backseat and climbed in through the driver"s seat. She just doesn"t say any words, but she was thinking about some ways to escape from this devil.

Ken started the car and sped off in the direction of the inventory. When they arrived, Kylie noticed the plastic chairs and cigarette b.u.t.ts that littered the ground. From the corner, she could hear someone openly weeping. "Who is that?" Kylie wondered.

"Weeping Myrtle," Ken laughed. "You know, from Harry Potter."

Already, Ken"s sense of humor was grating on her.

"In all seriousness," Ken continued, "the person that you hear is actually your friend, Faith. I stripped her of both her clothes and her dignity, and then I tied her to a barrel of oil. She has a gag in her mouth, which is why she hasn"t called out for help yet. She has a b.u.t.t plug in her a.n.u.s, and that is why she"d to weep. Apparently, she is more of a vanilla kind of girl."

"You"re a f.u.c.king pig," Kylie snared. "How could you do that to an innocent woman, who did nothing against you?" Kylie screams in anger. She wanted to kill this devil to take revenge for Faith.

"Maybe I am," Ken replied as he walked over to Faith and pulled out the gag from her mouth. Faith tried to speak but found that her jaw hurt too much for her to form words. There was saliva dripping from her mouth. "But look at your friend. I would rather be a metaphorical pig, that a f.u.c.king slob likes your friend here."

"But let"s get down to business," Ken said as he pointed to a box that was on the table. "The first part of our game is simple. There is a snake in that box. If you can take it out, you win, and I will let your friend go."

"Don"t do it," Faith cried as she found her voice. "It could be poisonous."

Kylie frowned and bit her lower lip. She can"t let Faith suffer from Ken"s kind of game. She needed to save her best friend.

Ken shrugged and said, "Time"s up. Will you try to rescue her? If you do not accept the challenge or fail to complete the challenge, I will drag her out into the yard and set her on fire. No pressure, though. You are under no obligation to save your friend." His voice rang like a demon coming from h.e.l.l, who tends to destroy someone"s lives.

Kylie quickly answers, "Promise me that if I take the snake out that you will let her go."

Ken threw an evil smile at her "My word is my bond. Now the decision is yours, either you do it or not it"s up to you,"

Kylie felt afraid, but she needed to suppress her fear to save Faith"s life. She knew they are both in danger at this moment, "Then, I will do it."

Kylie walked over to the table to get a better look at the box. She could hear the snake moving about inside, and her body broke out in gooseflesh. Knowing that she had no other choice, she slowly opened the box. She looked inside, and, right away, she was able to determine that the snake was not poisonous, which was a surprise. Ken had already admitted that he had no qualms about murdering people.

Kylie reached into the box, pulled the snake out, presented it to Ken, put it back into the box, and closed it up again. Seeing how effortlessly she"d completed the task, Ken shook his head and said, "You really are a crazy b.i.t.c.h."

Kylie smiled and said, "Let my friend go."

"Do it yourself," Ken snapped.

Having his permission, Kylie walked over to Faith and freed her. Faith gave her a big hug and said, "I can"t believe that you did that, but you did, and you saved my life. Thank you. Can we go now?"

"We cannot," Kylie replied. "I am stuck in a game of Ken"s design. No doubt, if I renege, I will be the one who is set on fire in the yard."

Suddenly Faith noticed that Kylie did not look right. "Are you okay," she asked her friend.

"I don"t know," Kylie said. "I suddenly feel very dizzy. My eyes are –"

Kylie collapsed then, and Faith caught her just before her head would have hit the floor.

When Kylie came to her senses, she knew immediately where she was. She was in the hospital but, for the life of her, she didn"t know why she was here or how she"d gotten there. She did a quick body scan and found that she felt perfectly normal. She looked around the room, she saw Ethan, and that was a surprise.

"You"re awake," he smiles at her.

Since she"d seen him last, he"d grown a full beard, which led her to believe that she"d been unconscious for a very long time. She had been mad at him upon her arrival in Seattle. Now though, she could see how worried he looked, and her anger melted away. Soon, she said to herself, and I will give him the opportunity to explain himself – which is something that I should have done right from the beginning.
