taking their purchases they head to the car to put them away before their dinner. Closing the trunk of the car after putting their bags away he takes her hand and they go back to have dinner. Walking through the mall holding hands they come to a castle like entrance. Remi looks at him in excitement she has always wanted to come here for dinner. He thinks to himself this is going to be fun. He got vip tickets so they were allowed to visit the stables to see the horses and to meet the actors. Take pictures together and then we"re shown to their seat that were amazing as far as being close to the action. It"s an arena style theater with a dirt floor in the center . The sitting area is movie theater style seating with a ledge table in front of every seat. They are given banners to wave. The atmosphere is jovial and very addicting. The first scene is a page coming out to announce the royal family has arrived. They move the spotlight and show the royal family entering the arena. A few moments later a villain enters and kidnapped the princess and so the story begins. Throughout the next two hours there is jousting singing and sword fighting. The end of the show is an elaborate wedding ceremony between the prince who rescued his princess. Yona had the best time just watching her reactions that he barely even remembered the performance or food they just had. They waited for a few moments for the crowd to move out before getting up. Just as they were exiting the actor who played the prince walked up to Remi and handed her a piece of paper. She opens it and Yona notices it is a phone number. He takes it and hands it back to him. Glaring at him. His heart is more afraid she will take the number. He is angrier than he expected. Remi is beautiful and deserves attention from the opposite s.e.x. "The lady is taken and does not need your number. ." Taking Remi by the hand they leave the actor standing there embarra.s.sed. The girl who was handing them their pictures from earlier laughs.
"Don"t mind him he gives his number to every girl he finds attractive. He will get over it quickly. " Yona looks at her and gives her a disparaging look
"Tell him he needs to have more respect for women." As they take their pictures . He sees a jewelry store as they are walking through. Pulling her inside he picks a simple white gold ring with a ruby in the center. Asking the jeweler to try it on her for size. It fits her finger perfectly. Taking it he places it in her ring finger on her left hand.
" Its not an engagement ring but a promise ring. It"s my promise to you that I will do what I can to always be here for you to support you. I also promise that nothing you reveal about your past will scare me away . I promise that until the day you say you do not love me and want me to leave. That I will be by your side . When I saw that guy hand you his number I was beyond jealous and realized that I love you Remi and don"t want another man in your life but me." He pulls her into his arms hoping she will not reject him. He feels her arms slide around his waist and hold him back. To him this is her acceptance of his his promise. Pulling a little apart he looks down at her noticing that she has tears in her eyes. He wipes them and asks.
"Why are you crying?"
she smiles at him and answer.
"Because I have never been happier than I am at this moment. I have never allowed anyone to get close to me . You have broken all of my walls and I am even talking again. You want to know why I talked today?" Yona nods.
"it"s because I was afraid that when you leave for j.a.pan that you would not come back . That because when your gone , that if I cannot actually speak to you , that you may decide that I am not worth your time. So today when Winona got upset with me . I decided that , if I want to at least try to be worthy of you liking me. I needed to be brave and work hard. So I figured if my voice didn"t scare you away that I would try." He sighs and looks at her and grins jokingly tells her
"yeah I"m a pretty amazing guy. I have a great career that pays me a lot. I have an amazing body and my looks are above average. I can see why I"m a good catch. You know only someone very special can capture my attention. So that makes you very special. " she realizes that he is teasing her so she punches him and walks away sticking her tongue out at him. He chuckled as he caught back up to her and takes her hand as they head to the car .
Charlie shows up at Aisling"s house just after dinner she wants to talk to her daughter . She is uncomfortable in Aisling"s house after her brothers last visit. Aisling comes down stairs to see her sitting in the kitchen .
"Aunt Charlie why are you sitting in here alone?"
Charlie shifts in her chair and avoids looking at her.
"I"m waiting for Remi I figured she would be here. "
Aisling knows that there was an altercation at her house between Yona and Thomas. She also knows the uncles came back angry. Aisling has wanted to talk to her about a few things anyway.
"Aunt Charlie Winona wants a family session with Remi. You and Thomas will need to be here for that. Is there something going on that you need to discuss with me?" Giving her an opportunity to speak up about what happened.
"Yona and your uncle are far to unreasonable. They act like I"m stealing from you because I bought Thomas a car and school supplies. I don"t understand how I am supposed to live with just my husbands retirement and social security. It"s not enough. " an unexpected surge of anger rises up in her she looks at her aunt in dismay.
"Really, according to the accountant you make close to four thousand a month between everything that your bills after I paid off everything the last time was only one thousand five hundred dollars. That is more than most families with two incomes. It"s only you and Thomas there is no excuse for you to act like you have nothing. You could easily live off that without my help. So I don"t understand what the problem is. Technically you were stealing because the agreement was that you would sell the vacation house . That you would use that money to pay back what you used over the last five years without regard. You sold the vacation house to a friend of yours for less than twenty percent of it value. At the time you bought it you took two hundred thousand to pay for it and another thirty thousand to renovate it. Yet you sold it for sixty thousand. Then turned around and spent thirty eight thousand to buty schoo supplies and a new car for a seventeen year old . Sorry aunt but your priorities are not straight. You have two children not one and you act like your poor when your not. You need to think about what a real Christian should be like. I dint think you are ready to ask Remi for anything or even to talk to her yet . Good night Aunt ,I do love you , but I think you have some thinking to do." Aisling stands up to walk out of the room, when her Aunt stops her.
"you know I used to think that you were kind and generous but now it"s like I don"t know you."
ausling turns to her and asks her.
"Why is that aunt? Could it be because those I loved and made sure they never had to worry about money. Those people became greedy and wanted to harm me over money. Those I thought loved me actually hated me. That people who I cherished only cared for money over me. I like a stupid person forgave them and still wanted to take care of them. Look what it got me . So if I have changed it"s because I lost my rose colored gla.s.ses and see who you really are." This time Aisling glares at her until she leaves the house. She will call uncle John in the morning to ask him to change the locks on her house. That way only those who are welcome can come from now on. . She sits and begins to cry. He heart is breaking over her aunt . She hopes that when Winona does the family therapy she can help her aunt. Astila hears her cry he comes up behind her and holds her while she cries. Aisling holds her husband close absorbing his warmth. Thanking G.o.d for this man who quietly supports her and loves her. Allowing her to be who she is without pushing her to change .
