Chapter 509 - I Called You A Sister
Lady Ki saw w.a.n.g Hao in the Courtesan"s house, and she halted at her place. "What happened, Lady Ki?" Her a.s.sistant asked him.
"Nothing," Lady Ki said and walked away.
w.a.n.g Hao stood outside the room of the woman whom he had met a few days ago. He extended his hand out to slide the door but stopped. He did not know how to face the young woman whom he had promised to protect.
He came out of his thoughts as the same woman opened the door. She bowed upon seeing him and told him to come inside. "I saw the reflection of General w.a.n.g on the door," the young woman said as she sat down around the table.
"Please make yourself comfortable, General w.a.n.g," she requested.
w.a.n.g Hao had opened his shoes near the door and came inside. He sat down, facing her. "Yin Na, forgive me for not protecting you well. Will you please tell me how you ended up in this house?" w.a.n.g Hao worriedly asked her. "Call me Brother," w.a.n.g Hao urged her.
Yin Na"s eyes were filled with tears. "I am not Yin Na anymore. I have a new name and a new ident.i.ty, General w.a.n.g. It is not good for you to come here," Yin Na stated. w.a.n.g Hao clenched his fist tightly. He cursed himself for not taking care of the young woman.
"For me, you are still Yin Na, the young sixteen years old girl, who called me Brother," w.a.n.g Hao stated. "What about your older brother? You told me that he--"
"He sold me off," Yin Na stated before w.a.n.g Hao could ask her.
w.a.n.g Hao was shocked upon hearing the truth. His eyes flickered, and his ears turned red because of the anger. "Yin Na, what happened? Please tell me. I promise you that I will turn everything right. Please trust me," w.a.n.g Hao stated and put his hand on the floor table.
"General w.a.n.g, there is nothing left. It is my new life. There is my new life, and I am good. General w.a.n.g does not need to worry about me," Yin Na stated. Her words were clear enough to tell that she did not want any kind of help from w.a.n.g Hao.
"Yin Na, I called you a sister. I will not let you stay here. Even if I have to burn this house to free you, I will do that. I made a mistake by not visiting you. Even my apologies will not suffice that mistake," w.a.n.g Hao affirmed. "Come with me. You will live with me in the w.a.n.g Residence," w.a.n.g Hao offered her.
Yin Na averted her gaze from w.a.n.g Hao. "General w.a.n.g is not my brother. So, he does not have any right to decide for me," Yin Na bitterly said. w.a.n.g Hao did not mind her words because he could understand the frustration of Yin Na. He did not want to imagine how much this young woman suffered in the Courtesan"s house.
"Yin Na, do not think that fingers will be pointed at me just because I will bring you out of this house. I am the General of the Han Empire. I have the power to shut everyone"s mouth for my younger sister," w.a.n.g Hao stated.
Suddenly the door opened. "Lady Yi, the royal inspector is here. He is waiting for you." The Courtesan informed Yin Na, who did not see that General w.a.n.g was present in her room. w.a.n.g Hao could not believe what he just heard. He stood up, holding his sword, and turned towards the woman who had just informed about the arrival of the Royal Inspector.
"Where is he?" w.a.n.g Hao furiously asked.
"General w.a.n.g," Immediately, the Courtesan lowered her gaze while murmuring his name. Yin Na stood up from her seat and came in front of w.a.n.g Hao.
"Please, don"t do this," Yin Na pleaded with w.a.n.g Hao and got on her knees.
"So much drama!!" They heard another voice with which w.a.n.g Hao was familiar.
"Sixth Prince!" w.a.n.g Hao mumbled.
Lei Wanxi told the lady to get aside and went inside the drama. "What is the Prince doing here?" w.a.n.g Hao was confused to see Lei Wanxi at such a place.
Lei Wanxi took out a scroll from his pocket. "To give this to General w.a.n.g," Lei Wanxi replied and then went closer to w.a.n.g Hao. "Brother Sheng has sent this," he whispered in the ear of w.a.n.g Hao and stepped back.
"I will see you outside, General w.a.n.g," Lei Wanxi said and walked out of the room.
w.a.n.g Hao opened the scroll and read the message. It was an order of the Emperor to free Yin Na from the Courtesan House. w.a.n.g Hao did not know how to react at that moment. He did not want the Crown Prince to do this, but Sheng Li made things easier for him.
"It"s the Emperor"s order to set you free," w.a.n.g Hao told Yin Na and bent down on his knees. The Chief of the Courtesan came there as the news about w.a.n.g Hao"s arrival had spread.
But in front of General w.a.n.g, the Chief couldn"t say anything. The words were stuck in his mouth.
w.a.n.g Hao put his hand on Yin Na"s shoulders and pulled her up along with him. "It"s not too late. The Emperor has given the order to set you free. Forgive me for not looking for you," w.a.n.g Hao again apologized. Yin Na started weeping. Her cries reverberated not only in the room but also in the narrow hallway. Thus, bringing the attention of other people in the house.
w.a.n.g Hao removed his overcoat and put it around Yin Na. He wiped the tears off her eyes and told them to clear the way. The Chief gestured to the ladies to show the way to General w.a.n.g, and soon they both were out of the house.
The Royal Inspector had already left as he got the news that General w.a.n.g was also in the brothel house. w.a.n.g Hao saw a few soldiers around a carriage. He took Yin Na straight towards the carriage. A soldier opened the door, and Prince Wanxi waved at w.a.n.g Hao from inside. He helped Yin Na to get inside the carriage. w.a.n.g Hao also stepped inside the horse carriage.. The chauffeur started it and drove the carriage to w.a.n.g"s Residence.
