Chapter 558: The Disappearance of Sacred Star, The End of Perished Land
In the blink of an eye, Bai Yu’s tier had gone up to C5. A formidable aura radiated out from her body.
She spread her wings, which had at least a ten-meter span and sprung at Qin Feng.
Holy Words—Annihilation!
A light pillar descended from the sky and shone on Qin Feng. He immediately felt a burning pain.
This was the first time an ability had successfully hurt Qin Feng this far into the battle.
Qin Feng noticed the caster through the light. He saw the same frantic expression on Bai Yu’s face.
‘You are underestimating me if you think that this can kill me.”
Qin Feng sneered.
These conspirators could really have obtained the Sacred Armor if Qin Feng did not intervene. Qin Feng had sustained the violent gush of energy from the Sacred Armor for fifteen minutes long. Even if a prodigy could only last for three seconds in there, they only needed to sacrifice about three hundred prodigies to tame the Sacred Armor.
This calculation was sound. But they had no idea what kind of monster Qin Feng had become after the fifteen minutes of energy influx.
It was an insurmountable power that a sound mind could never comprehend.
Qin Feng flipped his palm upward and a long fuchsia saber promptly appeared in his hand.
‘Let me show you the gift this Sacred Armor has granted me!’
To Qin Feng, he benefited the most from the internal force the Sacred Armor had given him instead of its durability.
He directed the internal force into the saber in his hand. The Verdant Emperor Saber was a G.o.d Weapon. It vibrated as energy was being infused into it as if it was groaning upon the sudden influx of energy.
“Burning Sword Glare!”
Qin Feng slashed with his saber. At that moment, the saber exploded into a fuchsia glare that blinded everyone nearby.
Driving by Qin Feng’s internal force and the motion momentum, the fuchsia glare slashed through the air up to a hundred meters far.
All living creatures within the fan-shaped area in front of Qin Feng were cut into half.
“Argh!”
Bai Yu’s face was frozen. She looked down and saw a terrifying scene. Her lower body had been detached and was free-falling to the ground. Blood droplets could be seen floating up from the neatly cut cross-section.
“No!!!” Bai Yu shrieked in disbelief and plunged desperately. She soon caught up to her lower body and activated light-type ability.
Her two halves reattached instantaneously.
‘That’s amazing! Celestials are no doubt an exceptional light-type tribe. No wonder they called themselves that. But could you sustain this?’
Qin Feng’s saber once again erupted. This time, his stance was even more daunting than before. He brought the saber over his head and swung it downward.
A fine line emerged vertically on Bai Yu’s frozen face. The body could no longer ligate back. It broke into half and fell lifelessly to the ground.
The top prodigy from the Celestial Tribe, who might have been the one to dominate the world in her future, had been mercilessly cut down by Qin Feng.
She was not the only prodigy Qin Feng had destroyed. His eyes quickly scanned for his next target and soon landed on Kui!
‘Die!’
Qin Feng generously drew out his enormous internal force.
“Blooming Flame!”
The blooming fire melted Kui who wanted to approach Qin Feng. Even his soul was torched by the unforgiving sword flare.
No matter how strong Kui was, he was no match to Qin Feng that now owned the internal power of an A-tier.
‘To h.e.l.l, all of you!’
Qin Feng looked up and screeched to exert his dominance.
“d.a.m.n!”
“That’s absurd! Run!”
“He has been hiding his true power! We must leave now!”
The a.s.saulters finally realized Qin Feng’s unreasonable strength.
Qin Feng had been fighting them with bare hands earlier. They thought that his power was granted by the residual energy of the Sacred Armor. Once the energy was used up, Qin Feng would only be a turtle in a sh.e.l.l.
They could not be more wrong. It was clear now that Qin Feng had been reserving his power and was only toying with them.
“Run!”
“Leave the Sacred Armor. The most important thing is to stay alive now!”
“Please, don’t kill me, please!”
The prodigies fled in panic with tails in between their legs.
Qin Feng’s main targets were those deviant conspirators that had been controlling other prodigies to achieve their own goal. These were the biggest threats to humans. He wished he could exterminate every last one of them.
If the dragon-borne knew that he was a pure-blood human, then there was no reason to believe that these people were not aware.
What if they tried to locate his dimension? What kind of calamity would they stir on earth?
Qin Feng was thirsty for blood. “Bai Li, lock this dimension up. We can’t let any of them leave.”
Bai Li did not say another word and did as told.
Abruptly, a silver dome appeared above the area and spanned about a thousand meters wide.
This was the area covered by the largest Shade. All the prodigies had been gathered in here. Hence, none of them could leave now.
Qin Feng laughed maniacally and launched the final ma.s.sacre.
***
The Sacred Star was still hanging peacefully in the sky. In stark contrast, the ruins of the Soul Tribe were filled with bloodshed. A formidable conscious power kept throbbing inside the ruins.
After a while, everything returned to quietness.
After four hours of killing, not another living soul was seen in the center area besides Qin Feng and Bai Li.
Coincidentally, the Sacred Star that appeared abruptly in the sky began to shrink rapidly.
As the star degenerated, a weird distortion began to disturb the dimension. Many might not understand what was happening but they clearly remember the warning,
“One must leave this place before the Sacred Star completely disappears. Otherwise, one would be trapped forever inside the Perished Land. More so, the body would deteriorate and one would gradually be turned into a Shade by the land.”
Qin Feng was not informed but he had heard about it. Besides, there was nothing left to be done here.
“The dimension is closing up!” Bai Li warned. Regardless, she could still travel out freely even after the dimension had been locked down. She did not mind if Qin Feng wished to stay here to continue plundering the deserted land.
